Obama betrayed everyone who voted for him.. he could only have been a plant by the elite.. groomed to run for president long before he was known...if he wasn't already a corporate stooge he turned into one as soon as he got into office...what happened we will never know..did they threaten his family ?? did they threaten him ? did they pay him off ?? all that money left over from the campaign fund he could have kept if he declared it as income...did he become a multimillionaire overnight ?
@13Xanadu 3 bush/katrina vs obama/joplin, 4 democrats are Trimming vs. Republicans Gutting Medicare, 5 Draft-dodging is ok if you're a democrat, - 9 white house correspondents survey voted for Clinton in 1992, while 2 voted for Bush - 12 voted for Dukakis in 1988 - one for Bush - 10 voted for Mondale in 1984 - zero for Reagan - 8 voted for Jimmy Carter in 1980 - 2 for Reagan. Of the 1400 members of the national media who were surveyed:89% voted for Clinton in 1992 7% voted for Bush in 1992
@13Xanadu I do not endorse Newt nor would I vote for him in the primary. I was making a point about the way the the vast majority of the media treat a Conservative verses a Liberal. Those were all statements from respected journalists. They do this again and again.
@13Xanadu 1 Gingrich's $400,000 book deal while he was in Congress caused Media outrage! Hillary's $8 million book deal elicited media praise! 2 When the Republicans took over control of congress, ."It's clear that anger controls the child and not the other way around,". "The voters had a temper-tantrum...The nation can't be run by an angry 2-year-old.""Funny - the media was hailing Clinton's victory as a "mandate for change" (with a whopping 43% of the vote). and the list goes on and on!
@13Xanadu It all started in the Universities of Europe during the 1800s with the best of intentions for a utopian world. Unfortunately the facts of human nature get in the way. Here are a few of my favorite reasons for its failure. If the productive do not get to keep a reasonable percentage of their efforts they will cease to be productive. Poverty should not be comfortable as one should be induced out of it. Socialism always eventually fails when you run out of other peoples money!
@13Xanadu Newsrooms are filled with liberal journalists. Conservatives in big news organizations are in the minority – and a small minority at that (except at FOX). So many liberals, so many like-minded people—no matter how fair they think they are – are going to produce a biased product. It’s as simple as that.
@13Xanadu There are some with negative feelings regarding Reagan so I get that. I suppose being a radical you would lean more towards Che, Pol Pot, Marx, Mao and Stalin then. I myself find them in a less then positive light (some would call them mass murderers) are these your heroes? The kind off real change those guys expose is the opposite of freedom as all of us would end up suffering to some degree or possibly dieing (and that includes many of their own followers).
@13Xanadu I am sorry to inform you that their is indeed many Conservative Educators they like Actors and Reporters have too keep their views on the down low as it would effect their careers. I as a mid level manager in the private sector see the same problem with Liberals in my field have to also conceal their true feelings. Your obvious vitriol against Conservatives is insulting and you have better chance of being listened to with out it. I have not insulted the left in this exchange have I?
@13Xanadu I'm aware that everyone can not be productive as their are services required for society to function but they should be paid a realistic value to their worth. The 1 who decides their value should represent the Taxpayers interests while not being influenced by the Union that is representing the antagonists! The bad workers in the private sector find themselves with out a job. The public sector should also get rid of the bad workers if that can not be done then their should be as less.
@13Xanadu An educated public is critical but the current monopolistic system completely controlled Liberal Progressives is the problem we need a education not a indoctrination. Expanding the voucher system would give the public a choice to go to Conservative school if one so chooses the Public schools would be forced thru COMPETITION for funding as that would self correct the problem in a decade! Many are able to see thru the false leftist indoctrination in many schools and choose freedom.
@13Xanadu Teachers are unproductive in that they do not produce anything, they are however honorable and important as the ones who teach our precious youth so that they can then become productive some day. I have had many discussions face to face over the years with educators regarding the indoctrination of our youth in a left biased way that it is currently being done by our education system. Many concede my point and a few even agree with me.
@13Xanadu The Taxes I have paid have mostly gone to the unproductive. I would not mind a fair share going to the most needy but the repressive amounts being taken from the productive and redistributed to the unproductive is my complaint!
@13Xanadu I never agreed with nor consented to corporate bail outs as I believe that BIG LABOR, BIG GOVERNMENT and BIG BUSINESS are all bad for the average person and all should be minimized. Public schools, Amtrak, DOT, Public works and the USPS are what I said as these are not necessary government functions. The Police, Fire Departments and Military are critical required government functions that I support wholeheartedly. Fraud by any entity should be punished and minimized!
@13Xanadu A CEO pulling a billion dollars out is OK if he generates a billion plus 1 dollar but usually they make the corporation much more then they take out if not they would not be hired by the next firm. What is truly unfair is when a thousands of public sector employees makes make twice what their private sector counterparts make and work half as hard. See public schools, Amtrak, DOT, Public works and the USPS the politicians that allow this are the real criminals robing the taxpayers!
@13Xanadu Small Business represent 99.7 percent of all employer firms. Employ just over half of all private sector employees. Pay 44 percent of total U.S. private payroll. Create more than half of the nonfarm private gross domestic product (GDP). Hire 40 percent of high tech workers (such as scientists, engineers, and computer programmers). Made up 97.3 percent of all identified exporters and produced 30.2 percent of the known export value in FY 2007. Produce 13 times more patents per employee.
Any time when the productive are oppressively punished by unfair amounts of their assets being forcibly taken then given to the unproductive (AKA SOCIALISM, Progressivism, Communism or any other form of Marxism) is doomed to failure. When you take a little a few of the productive turn unproductive or leave, then you have to take a little more so more turn unproductive or leave eventually the system runs out of other peoples assets and all will starve as their is not enough to go around!
@13Xanadu The falsity of Keynesian economics is one perpetuated by ivory-tower thinkers who have never run a business of their own. President Barack Obama is in that group. These people have a hard time fully understanding the basics of how things run, and how Capitalism increases economic activity, and how Government and taxation spoils economic activity.
@13Xanadu Then why punish the honest wealthy for those that our exploiting loop holes, here is a novel idea how about we close the loop holes! I have had some years where I was so desperate that I was considering crime as a means to support my family but I worked my way out of it with out the help of the government! I have never earned any money from other then wealthy people so I would like for their to be more wealthy people so I can earn more. University for me was a waste of resources.
@13Xanadu I say we cut everything across the board equally until we are not spending money we do not have or can afford. The wealthy already pay more then their fair share. We all need to have some skins in the game proportional to their ability to pay. Government is inherently incompetent and corrupt and should be kept to a minimum. Keynesian economics, Govt. spending on a huge scale is wrong. Poverty should not be comfortable as one needs to work out of it.
Typical leftist ivory tower elitist convoluted argument against simple common sense. The best answer is usually the simplest. We do not have a tax problem that the Progressives would solve by raising taxes but the Laffer curves proves that income would go down so their next solution is to print more money but that will cause inflation. Here is a novel idea cut spending I know it is to simple and it is what most households do to avoid bankruptcy.
Obama is pathetic. He more worried about his presidency than he is about middle America. I regret voting for the jagoff. He has lied about everything he said he would do, spent a boatload of money on his pet projects which have not assisted the American people and spent more time on talk shows and publishing books to increase his net worth, then doing the job he was elected to do. He is a blowhard and a HUGE disappointment. I WILL NOT vote for the jagoff in 2010.
So it looks like the progressive movement has been hood winked by a very savy Democratic President. The disappointment is unmeasurable, but very real.
More evidence that we need a viable third party, the Republicans and the current Democratic party have very little distinguishing differences. They are both little piggies at the feed trough, with no concern for the average working stiff.
Until all our elections are all 100% publicly finance - our system will always remain this corrupt.
Middle class citizens have no chance to run successful campaigns in this country unless they get backing from big business which will expect the favor returned.
Wanna know someting kinda funny, the republicans ran with a mavrick, the democrats elected their own mavrick. 2008 was mavrick +blowhard vs mavrick+hockey mom
This 3.6% tax rate change is really blowing peoples minds, on one side people are screaming its socialism, on the other they are screaming the end is neigh, apocolypes is upon us, the US will fall!!!
Does anyone here seriously beleive billionaires will be the ones carrying the tax burden? Most likely "rich" now be redefined to include doctors, engineers, managers, and small business owners.
They will only leave this country if taxed too much.
Then what? With no more rich people to tax there will be no more Yachts. No more Lear Jets. No fancy automobiles. Just a bunch of loser poor people milling around smartly trying to stay ahead of the military police who will be everywhere.
For your own protection understand. Street crime will be rampant and no one will have anything really. Like Cuba.
obviously no matter who is in the 'White House it's really is owned by the wealthy. 'Give it to the teaparty, lets see how that goes. The Democrats caved in. The poor are used to being poor, I want to see what the conservative middle class feel after their devastation. Greed, Greed is such a grave sin.
@USAon3 Try to stay on topic, besides, 9-11 was planned in Europe and involved almost exclusively people from Saudi Arabia, and was funded by the Pakistani ISI. What the US really wanted was a pipeline from Central Asia, and Karsai, a former employ of the US company building the pipeline, is the US leader de jour for Afghanistan. US military bases are dotting the proposed route. I think you were definitely distracted by 9-11... or shall we say... blinded.
Didn't take long for those brain-dead birthers to show up... lol. Thanks for your contribution USAon3 Now put your tinfoil hat back on and crawl back in your cave.
@ladylordess So you want a society without a government? You would prefer us being something more like a serfdom? With Republicans getting their way and Democrats unwilling to protect what we have and prevent what has been slipping away... you may get your wish. No protection for workers, no infrastructure for average Americans, the wealthy elite calling the shots from their palaces in gated communities and the rest of us left to fend for ourselves fighting over scraps. yeah... good idea.
@ladylordess And what about corporate welfare... funny how you and your ilk seem to never mention that. You're opposed to welfare... yet it's ok for corporations.
@punin10dead What about it? It shouldn't exist in a free market. Whenever the government gets involved it is no longer a free market. We need to allow failure, not hide from it. You will learn more from your failure rather than from your success, however success is sooooo much sweeter!!!!
People should be thanking the rich for paying the taxes in this country. Without them, your socialist programs wouldn't exist at all. America better learn to be grateful instead of vilifying those who are successful. You too can be successful if you put your mind to it.
@prwalkeriii We do not need the socialist programs or anyone with an entitlement attitude. We do need a work ethic and people who understand how to live within their means. Where do you get your information? Please don't say "out of your brain". The "rich", aka "job creators" pay majority of the taxes in this country. Do the research.
Amazing to see these people defend the tax cuts for the rich, I wonder how many people doing that fall in the over-$200,000 income bracket. The fact is that the wealthy elite have no need for tax cuts that people in the under-$200,000 tax bracket do. But the minions who defend their right to grotesque fortunes and the demise of the middle class, which they are no doubt a part of, still are fooled into defending the funneling of money to the top 1%. Jobs are needed, not obese wealth for a few.
to bad the democrats don't 'rubberstamp" everything coming out of an Obama White House like we saw with GWBush and his minions. Now if only Obama would question the parties PATRIOTISM he could really make some progress...hmmm, who knows, he could even INVADE and OCCUPY a country THAT HAD NOTHING to do with the 9/11 attack on our soil. So whats a few trillions of dollars pissed away in the middle east amongst umm, "friends"...... (sarcasm)
"Now if only Obama would question the parties PATRIOTISM he could really make some progress...hmmm, who knows, he could even INVADE and OCCUPY a country..."
Oh, Barry Soetoro has already invaded and is occupying a country - the United States of America.
Our founding fathers, including Jefferson, Adams, & Franklin, cautioned that a great danger to our country would be the concentration of wealth into the hands of a few.
Today the top 1% has 40% of the wealth.
The top 10% has 75% of the wealth.
And the bottom 40% has 1%.
This is not healthy.
The inc. tax & inheritance tax proposals will only make it worse.
@wetweasel56 capitalism here isn't really free market capitalism, competition is more than frowned upon by the existing monolithic companies. they have done a good job of erasing the competition of small businesses on main street through cheap outsourcing, "slavery". real socialism does not exist either. both sound nice on paper, but thats before their meanings are twisted into something else entirely by anyone with a will counter to what these forms of government offer.
How in the world is is fair to pay taxes on all the wealth that you acquire during your lifetime, then upon your death, have it taxed AGAIN at a rate of about 55%????
@donnygoat - this is usually a bogus argument - I've been an heir on 3 estates where there was no so-called double taxation - the estates owed taxes because of an appreciation in asset values.
Do you truly believe there was double taxation on Ted Kennedy's estate, or that therre will be on John Kerry's wife's estate, or Buffett, or Gates?
@DillonDee1 Actually there is double taxation. You paid taxes on the income with which you purchased those assets. The fact that they appreciated is irrelevant.
@DillonDee1 oh, let's tax the appreciation of things in gold then. i find it ridiculous that the government prints money which inflates the value of my property in nominal terms, but which drops in real terms and then taxes me on 'appreciation'. you liberals are fruitcake idiots. if you like the government so much, write them a check, but stop making others participate into your idiocy.
@delyshBB - there has been so much of a redistribtion of wealth in the last 10 yrs that the richest 10% now has 80% of the financial wealth of the country.
If it hits 90-95% you will see real rebellion in the country.
@DillonDee1 No, the real wealthy people are intelligent, and know how not to pay even more taxes upon their exit as they do in the prime of their lives... Irrevocable trusts and the like.
So without some kind of plan in set up for you like that, On the 3 estates that you were the recipient of... Whether you know it or not, I think you may have been taxed on it.
@donnygoat - of the 3 estates I'll give u info on the easiest to underestand
My Aunt inherited $200k in stock from her husband 40 yrs ago. She never worked a day in her life, but collected SS checks for 40 yrs. When she died the stock was worth $1,200,000. Had she sold the stock just before her death she'd have a Cap Gain of $1 mil & owe about $150k
With a $1m exclusion only S200 was subj. to inheritance tax of $60k.
If no inh tax, THE GAIN IS NEVER TAXES as heir takes at value at death
@aovecka "We need the government to STOP SPENDING money"
Let's start by ending the oil wars in the Middle East... we'd save billions. Perhaps the corporate wealthy elite should pay for their oil wars themselves. As for social programs... they ARE necessary and should be funded.
@punin10dead LOLOL! Yet another spoon-fed kneejerk libtard reaction. Yeah, that oil war in Afghanistan is sure fueling our energy needs as we steal their natural resources. Too bad that silly little thing in lower Manhattan about ten years ago distracted our forces from the real task, hah?
...stupid lib colostomy bag.
I can't wait until real Americans take this country back from those who wish to destroy it.
It's not about rich...i'm not rich; but taxes CUTS are not like it COSTS the government any more money. We need the government to STOP SPENDING money; the "rich" as people like to steal from already pay a S load of taxes, in fact they already pay 90% of all taxes. People feel so good about taking more of their money because they have more...tax percentage should be the same for everyone. So if you make a million dollars a year, don't worry..that's still a TON of money.
Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
Tax cuts for the rich have never created jobs... there is no evidence that supports the notion that it does, yet Republicans, even the ones that aren't wealthy and are just sheep being led to slaughter, keep wanting to do it over and over again. It's insanity!
If you are middle class - making less the 75,000 a year and you consider yourself conservative you must be the biggest idiot in the world because REPUBLICAN POLICIES DO NOTHING BUT HURT YOU!
At least they got you to believe that they are just like you because they are Christians!
@wetweasel56 ; The money Bush sent you - we borrowed it from China you dimwit! He did it to buy votes cause he knows most of you are TOO STUPID TO CONNECT THE DOTS!
Now you want to borrow more to give a tax cut to the rich - You are idiots!
And all this strong mouthed talk from a guy who can not even spell MACRO-ECONOMICS
Where do you think the US Treasury gets the money in the first place, boner brain.
You do not pay for a tax cut you moron. A tax cut means that less taxes are collected. What a maarooooon. A tax cut means that the people don't pay as many dollars into the Treasury as they would normally have paid. Your smoked out brain cavity probably resides in San Francisco with the rest of the 1960's losers.
King Fish here got it all wrong dude. See Hillbillies r one of the very many groups of people to whom the US Government showers money every year. Just for clarification: the top 25% of the income earners in the USA pay into the system 87% of the total taxes collected. If u did not forget your 2nd grade math that means the bottom 75% of the income earners (under $67,000) pay in less than 13% of the moneys collected. Blow the cloud of smoke from over your calculator & do the math.
@EFISHANT Some people still have conservative values or consider themselves fiscally conservative... You're being hypocritical if you say that you're a Dem because of their policies, because you just showed your hand basing your Republican argument on money. The problem nowadays is that people all want what their neighbors have without wanting to work hard for it... CLASS ENVY
I love the fact that hillbilly conservatives support tax cuts for rich asshole that have ruined this country and they are so dumb that they don't realize that we will have to borrow 700 billion from China over the next ten years to give the rich tax cuts!
Not one, single Republican has had the guts to tell us how the tax cuts will be payed for! NOT ONE!
@NCMan28025 You can't blame the way Bush ravaged our nation on Obama, that's a non-starter. But I DO blame Obama for not living up to his campaign promises and changing the failed Bush policies that wreaked such havoc. If he had lived up to his promises you would have seen his base out to support him at the midterm elections. Instead they stayed home, but I assure you, people aren't choosing to reinstall the failed agenda of the Republicans... that's just the result of Obama diminishing hope.
Dums win congress Jan. '07. Dums raise taxes on businesses. Economy goes south. Companies forced to lay off workers. Millions suddenly unemployed. Libs vote in Obungle who promises millions of green jobs with with bigger govt. Never happens. Unemployment increases next 2 years to 10%. GOP gains 65 House seats. Obungle reverses course to save himself from economic disaster by extending all Bush tax cuts. Moron libs have hissy fits. "Progressives" r now exposed as commie anti-American thieves.
@punin10dead Not the Federal Government - the Federal Reserve. Research the Fed - it's the institution that manipulates interest rates, the money supply, and debt accumulation insidiously by punishing savings and investment and rewarding debtors and consumption. It finances all the wars, bailouts, and subsidized industries at the expense of the working class.
Understanding this concept will help everything to start to make sense.
@TheGiantRobot The Federal Reserve. I think if you understood the true implications of central banking and the impact of wealth transfer from the poor/middle class to the rich, you wouldnt tolerate the institution.
Progressives and libertarians have more in common than people think. My 'progress' from progressivism to libertarianism was based heavily on central banking, unintended consequences, the non-aggression principle =)
Dude, do you know how youtube works? Hit the reply button.
Yes, I know how it works and you're right, I don't tolerate it. I don't agree with dismantling the government, but I absolutely agree with dismantling the Fed Bank. No private entity should be allowed to create money, not the Fed Bank or any other bank.
Why on Earth do you think Hillary would have robbed us less? Constantly trading one conservative for another is NOT change. Obama said he'd give us a public option and instead gave us Hillary's private mandate. I've had enough of the corporate Democrats.
@jwinter228 If you disable the Feds, corporations will BECOME the government... or rather the Lords of the Land. Right now both parties are right of center... we need to balance government out and restore it to what it was intended to be rather than handing it over to the corporate elite to do with whatever they please regardless of the effect it will have on what American is supposed to be. The Republicans are dismantling America's principals and the Dems seem powerless to stop them.
@punin10dead What country do you live in? The voters just rejected you big government socialist progressive types in November. By the way, Republicans have been out of power since 2007.
The Republican MO is to do whatever they can to starve the government out, by whatever means despite how dishonest and disregarding the cost to Americans. The government is intended to protect the American people from corporate abuses. The corporate elite have weaseled their way in, placed themselves in seats not intended for corporate advocates, and through corruption have injected their influence like a disease on our freedoms and democracy. Unfortunately the Dems have also been infected.
@punin10dead The left/right paradigm is just a distraction. Corporations won't have any power if you disable the Fed. The Fed allows us to finance all the wars (military industrial complex), corporate subsidies, bail out foreign governments, etc.
You know that we'll never be able to reign in corporations - the left's biggest promise was just shown to be a failure in this video. The only way to do it is to atatck the heart of the beast...
Our monetary system based on fiat currency insidiously steals from the poor and the middle class through inflation. It's transferred to the elite since they use the newly-printed money first and receive bailouts, subsidies, etc.
However, by raising taxes on the rich, you also punish the productive wealthy that have honest businesses that do create jobs. I don't have the moral authority to steal from their pockets - why should the government?
Republicans continue to mount their awesome powers though domination of the mass media and enabling through a corrupt Supreme Court to assault the middle class by dressing in sheep's clothing and leading the American people into their new right-wing Banana Republic. People will be happy for whatever scraps they get and willing to do the jobs that immigrants are supposedly, "stealing from Americans." Obama has failed in rescuing America from the jaws of the grotesquely wealthy corporate elite.
@Skunktrain42 if Barry weren't ruining this country, he'd be as full of bluster as the rest of the libtards. Only thing that would be different - when he failed, the ACLU would insist that he wave a black flag instead of a white one.
Every time i would watch this crap while he was campaigning I would just hit myself on the head and say why the hell is everyone believing all the bullshit that comes outta his mouth
Rich peoples taxes were supposed to go up so it means the greedy republicans are cutting taxes for them. President Obama told me he was going to raise their taxes when he was running to get elected! The greedy rich were greedy before but now they have more money so they're greedier than before. Republicans want to give the rich money for Christmas and President Obama isn't giving the poor anything not even a lump of coal.
This guy is a titanic disappointment. I won't make the mistake of voting for him again.
,
I'm glad to see the dems torpedoing this one ... too bad the progressives failed to blow up Obama's health care "reform" bill earlier this year. What an abortion that was ... like this presidency.
1.) an apparent lack of any other viable candidate to vote for.
2.) the fact that Mccain is clearly an unhinged out of touch angry old man, not in possession of all his marbles. To pick palin as his vice president was extreme lunacy.
3.) Obama talked a good game .... as this video is evidence of.
I think Obama still does have a reasonable chance of being reelected. Especially if the repubs nominate Palin for prez (I highly doubt that will happen though.) Romney or Huckabee are more likely to beat Obummer ... I think that is the most probable outcome for 2012.
.
But yeah, certainly Obama can win ... He's carried plenty of water for the Establishment so far ... its not unreasonable to assume he will have the Establishment at his back in 2012 just as in 2008.
Much of the the supposed partisan bickering that goes on in DC is just smoke and mirrors, illusions to make it appear as though the two parties are different. They're not different ... they both serve the same constituency- big business, wall street, the banks, the elite wealthy.
.
The only real difference between the parties is that the publicans serve the oligarchy shamelessly, while the dems play the role of enablers who pretend to care about the middle class. They don't.
Obama's conscience. Does it exist? I've often wondered.
Well, I think he finally jumped the shark. The Democrats are finally standing up to him and that means he's going to be almost impossible to get re-elected. I sure has hell wouldn't vote for him. Either the Democrats run a primary against him or they give the presidency to the Republicans.
Obama barely fought for anything he promised. He never put up a fight at all for the public option, and his meeting schedule looked like he was trying to kill it. He took us to another pointless war. He gave trillions to greedy bankers. He instantly caved on the Bush tax cuts, even though Republican refusal of unemployment benefits would neuter them.
I'm done with this president. I'll vote for a true progressive and someone who isn't instantly willing to f*ck over the middle and lower class.
@EcrossH : you will not get a "true" progressive, or a better candidate than Obama-why are you whining over the public option? Social Security was only for orphans and widows, & it ended up being expanded, Medicare/Medicaid was expanded (even under Bush), you gotta take your victories where you can-if you don't vote in the future, the Republyingcons have won, he promised the middle class their taxes wouldn't go up, but he had to accept lower tax rates for the rich to do it, :-/
@RothdeMan : "Obama was never different from Bush"? ...the guy ended the Iraq War, expanded Healthcare, did more to save consumers from credit card abuses, instituted more financial regulations on Wall Street, made moves to close Guantanamo, etc... there's no way Bush would do those things! boy, people are crazy!
Obama has always been a tv anchor president. He is a corporate puppet who is anti freedom and pro corporation. He gave the telecom's retroactive immunity for spying on Americans, has introduced naked body scanners and enabled tsa to violate our 4th amendment rights, and escalated wars in Pakistan and Afghanistan. In 2009 he signed the biggest war funding bill in the history of the US.
OBAMA IS A FRAUD AND HOW PEOPLE COULD NOT SEE IT IS A SIGN THAT BRAIN WASHING EXISTS.
@numnunums Hmmm NPR (No Personal Responsibility) is partially funded by taxpayers, but comes with a heavy liberal slant....do I get a choice to say I dont want my money spent on NPR? Not yet, but I will when it's defunded! And Al Jazeera? REALLY? sad, so so sad!! And you rip on anyone that views the SOLE conservative network/ Yet you get your info from a controlled radical muslim media outlet? Very sad...
You would've been better to list Huffington or Motherjones but you didn't. These also are not mainstream whatsoever. Also generally when someone resorts to personal attacks, they've lost the argument. Pretty pathetic.
@numnunums ...If you think the ones I listed, ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, NPR AND PBS are not liberal, then you are so far gone, it just isnt worth the discussion. Also, I believe it was YOU that made the first personal attack. Anyway, good luck to you. You are too koolaid drunk to get through to you. I wish you well...but this conversation is going no where fast with you. God Bless!!
@longpassion8kiss I made no such attack. If you're unable to keep calm then it's pointless for you to debate if you immediately get mad when proven wrong. You need to work on that and I'm not sure prayers to God would help as he helps those who helps themselves. It explains why I have more blessings from God than you as I don't lead a hateful life.
You would've been better to list Huffington or Motherjones but you didn't. These also are not mainstream whatsoever. Also generally when someone resorts to personal attacks, they've lost the argument. Pretty pathetic.
U can't want more for adults than they want for themselves!
Obama cannot expect to catch a break; because of bigots to the Right & bigots to the Left!
Obama was stumped his heart out during mid-term elections, in order to ensure a greater demc majority in Congress, where the hell was the Left? BITCHING & MOANING, just like bigots to Obama's Right!
Dems don't have the votes in US Senate; yet the 'magic negro' is supposed to bash his head against ignorance of Americans just for the heck of it?
c'mon son...people on the left are to hard on the guy, he has slowly drastically changed the landscape...the way students loans are being dolled directly by the government, imposing BP the spend $20 bil for clean-up, restructuring the US Auto industries to be profitable, oh and um.....universal healthcare...
@cdc2200 The 'people on the left' are a mirror image of those on the Right -- miserable bigots under another sheet
Democrats do not have & never had the filibuster-busting votes in the US Senate. This means that the UNIFIED minority 'party of no' has enough power to make Obama 'fail' to fully deliver to his bigoted base.
However, you can't let educate the ignoramuses on the Left; because they, like those on the Right, are not interested in reality & reason. That's how bigotry works in America
@donnygoat As a product of a mis-educational system, you wouldn't know what to do with so-called 'facts' if they are sitting on your nose!
The previous posts is filled with enough 'facts' to demonstrate why Obama has to RELUCTANTLY deal with the devils in the republicon PARTY OF NO, who WILL do the immature & destructive thing & SHUT down the Government & deliver the 2nd Great Republcon Depression that Obama & Co have been working tirelessly to avert!
@nirbija : as mad as the left is with Obama...c'mon son be real...who you gonna vote for, knowing what the Republican agenda is...Sarah Palin??? GTFOHWTBS!
@nirbija I'm really not that ungrateful... actually, my business has been absolutely booming for the last 2 years... The reason is because I'm informed, business savvy, and make good decisions...

Socialism always eventually fails when you run out of other peoples money!
dsmith6289 9 months ago
@13Xanadu Newsrooms are filled with liberal journalists. Conservatives in big news organizations are in the minority – and a small minority at that (except at FOX). So many liberals, so many like-minded people—no matter how fair they think they are – are going to produce a biased product. It’s as simple as that.
dsmith6289 9 months ago
@13Xanadu There are some with negative feelings regarding Reagan so I get that. I suppose being a radical you would lean more towards Che, Pol Pot, Marx, Mao and Stalin then. I myself find them in a less then positive light (some would call them mass murderers) are these your heroes? The kind off real change those guys expose is the opposite of freedom as all of us would end up suffering to some degree or possibly dieing (and that includes many of their own followers).
dsmith6289 9 months ago
@13Xanadu I am sorry to inform you that their is indeed many Conservative Educators they like Actors and Reporters have too keep their views on the down low as it would effect their careers. I as a mid level manager in the private sector see the same problem with Liberals in my field have to also conceal their true feelings. Your obvious vitriol against Conservatives is insulting and you have better chance of being listened to with out it. I have not insulted the left in this exchange have I?
dsmith6289 10 months ago
@13Xanadu I'm aware that everyone can not be productive as their are services required for society to function but they should be paid a realistic value to their worth. The 1 who decides their value should represent the Taxpayers interests while not being influenced by the Union that is representing the antagonists! The bad workers in the private sector find themselves with out a job. The public sector should also get rid of the bad workers if that can not be done then their should be as less.
dsmith6289 10 months ago
@13Xanadu An educated public is critical but the current monopolistic system completely controlled Liberal Progressives is the problem we need a education not a indoctrination. Expanding the voucher system would give the public a choice to go to Conservative school if one so chooses the Public schools would be forced thru COMPETITION for funding as that would self correct the problem in a decade! Many are able to see thru the false leftist indoctrination in many schools and choose freedom.
dsmith6289 10 months ago
@13Xanadu Teachers are unproductive in that they do not produce anything, they are however honorable and important as the ones who teach our precious youth so that they can then become productive some day. I have had many discussions face to face over the years with educators regarding the indoctrination of our youth in a left biased way that it is currently being done by our education system. Many concede my point and a few even agree with me.

I have never earned any money from other then wealthy people so I would like for their to be more wealthy people so I can earn more. University for me was a waste of resources.
dsmith6289 1 year ago
@13Xanadu I say we cut everything across the board equally until we are not spending money we do not have or can afford. The wealthy already pay more then their fair share. We all need to have some skins in the game proportional to their ability to pay. Government is inherently incompetent and corrupt and should be kept to a minimum. Keynesian economics, Govt. spending on a huge scale is wrong. Poverty should not be comfortable as one needs to work out of it.
dsmith6289 1 year ago
Typical leftist ivory tower elitist convoluted argument against simple common sense. The best answer is usually the simplest. We do not have a tax problem that the Progressives would solve by raising taxes but the Laffer curves proves that income would go down so their next solution is to print more money but that will cause inflation. Here is a novel idea cut spending I know it is to simple and it is what most households do to avoid bankruptcy.

Understanding this concept will help everything to start to make sense.

Right now both parties are right of center... we need to balance government out and restore it to what it was intended to be rather than handing it over to the corporate elite to do with whatever they please regardless of the effect it will have on what American is supposed to be. The Republicans are dismantling America's principals and the Dems seem powerless to stop them.
punin10dead 1 year ago
@punin10dead What country do you live in? The voters just rejected you big government socialist progressive types in November. By the way, Republicans have been out of power since 2007.

The Republican MO is to do whatever they can to starve the government out, by whatever means despite how dishonest and disregarding the cost to Americans. The government is intended to protect the American people from corporate abuses. The corporate elite have weaseled their way in, placed themselves in seats not intended for corporate advocates, and through corruption have injected their influence like a disease on our freedoms and democracy. Unfortunately the Dems have also been infected.
punin10dead 1 year ago

The Fed is what you should be attacking...
jwinter228 1 year ago
@jwinter228
By the Fed, what do you mean? The Federal Reserve Bank corporation, or the federal government?
TheGiantRobot 1 year ago

I made it up and entitlement is greedy.

Obama vs Obummer.
.
This guy is a titanic disappointment. I won't make the mistake of voting for him again.
,
I'm glad to see the dems torpedoing this one ... too bad the progressives failed to blow up Obama's health care "reform" bill earlier this year. What an abortion that was ... like this presidency.
fczwartek 1 year ago 34
@fczwartek so, what was it that made you vote for him the first time?
I'm not making fun, I just curious. feel free to be as specific as you like.
msqtube 1 year ago
@msqtube
Mainly three things ....
.
1.) an apparent lack of any other viable candidate to vote for.
2.) the fact that Mccain is clearly an unhinged out of touch angry old man, not in possession of all his marbles. To pick palin as his vice president was extreme lunacy.
3.) Obama talked a good game .... as this video is evidence of.
fczwartek 1 year ago
@fczwartek Reid ,McCain and Pelosi were re-elected . Obama will be too!
seriouslysad 1 year ago
@seriouslysad

@vincevince801
They don't.
fczwartek 1 year ago

EcrossH 1 year ago 4
@EcrossH : you will not get a "true" progressive, or a better candidate than Obama-why are you whining over the public option? Social Security was only for orphans and widows, & it ended up being expanded, Medicare/Medicaid was expanded (even under Bush), you gotta take your victories where you can-if you don't vote in the future, the Republyingcons have won, he promised the middle class their taxes wouldn't go up, but he had to accept lower tax rates for the rich to do it, :-/

@RothdeMan : "Obama was never different from Bush"? ...the guy ended the Iraq War, expanded Healthcare, did more to save consumers from credit card abuses, instituted more financial regulations on Wall Street, made moves to close Guantanamo, etc... there's no way Bush would do those things! boy, people are crazy!
cdc2200 1 year ago
Obama has always been a tv anchor president. He is a corporate puppet who is anti freedom and pro corporation. He gave the telecom's retroactive immunity for spying on Americans, has introduced naked body scanners and enabled tsa to violate our 4th amendment rights, and escalated wars in Pakistan and Afghanistan. In 2009 he signed the biggest war funding bill in the history of the US.
OBAMA IS A FRAUD AND HOW PEOPLE COULD NOT SEE IT IS A SIGN THAT BRAIN WASHING EXISTS.

Dems don't have the votes in US Senate; yet the 'magic negro' is supposed to bash his head against ignorance of Americans just for the heck of it?

c'mon son...people on the left are to hard on the guy, he has slowly drastically changed the landscape...the way students loans are being dolled directly by the government, imposing BP the spend $20 bil for clean-up, restructuring the US Auto industries to be profitable, oh and um.....universal healthcare...
cdc2200 1 year ago

Racism is in US DNA!
Racism was consciously & deliberately embedded in the American nation
And no EQUALLY, conscious & deliberate efforts HAVE EVER been made to eradicate racism in US!
Therefore, the wise aren't about to 'quit' STATING THIS HISTORICAL FACT to ignoramuses & bigots-in-denial about US racist history, TO PRESENT!
Those who run business primarily to 'keep money in pocket' is really a THIEF of others labor
