  • You clean up after right?

  • When in doubt of what you are seeing in your sights, SHOOT DAMNIT! LOL, I love it!!!! "Hmm, I think that's a target. Hmmmmm." No, it's your neighbors brand new Budweiser baseball cap that he was trying out when he showed up to check out what all the dang noise was about.... LOL

  • Haha, that looks like a videogame the way you have that set up. I've actually been thinking about trying to make a "budget" NV setup with an IR camera and small monitor..

How does this do in the dark?

  • @Doctorchops

I can use the Nightshot setting, which is not the same as true Nighvision, as I need at least some ambient light.

Check it out; posted this in late 2011.....

    /watch?v=OG7_54Xavf0

  • i dont know you could hate this video... its pretty effin awesome.

  • do more of the scopes, gamers will like it ;]

  • epic!

  • Best pov vid I've seen so far.

  • Nice video. I've been wanting to do some videos too. What I've been worried about is destroying my camera, recoil. What did you do about that if anything. I want to mount my camera above the scope, zoom to about 20 MOA at 300 yds. I'm afraid the recoil will slip the glass on it. What camera did you use, was it a tape camera or a hard drive camera. If you have the interest on giving me any information I am 10thpowerx1.

  • @10thpowerx1

Camera is a Sony HDR-CX560 with 64gb flash memory, no hard drive. I have the camera cushioned to some degree to prevent recoil messing with the picture quality. My next task is to try this with an EoTech.

  • love the scope cam. ur 10x better then attention whore fpsrussia. you deserve waay more views then that you got now.

also can you do a .223 vapor scope cam video?

or an G3A3 /paratrooper if you got one? :P

  • does your cam have nite vision...

  • @TheJackyBear

The camcorder has a "nightshot" setting but it's not true nightvision. However, I posted an AR scope cam using it in late 2011 and plan to post more.

  • what reticle is that?

  • you hit the first target about 3 times lol.

  • great vid

  • What a fun video. I enjoyed!

  • I wish we could use semi-auto rifles for hunting here in PA. I would probably go hunting again, with my M4.

  • @BassmanSW M4/A3 rather. Lest the video game junkies want to argue about it.

  • wow thats awesome, definately going to try this out

  • Very very beautiful. Thank you very much for sharing.

  • I have the same ammo you used here, and I'd love to see one of your legendary ballistic tests for the AccuTip in .223 Rem. Your vids rock!

  • THATS how it should look in a game, not how they zoom in the entire view when you use a sight

  • @DaBurntToaster I was just thinking the same thing.

  • i like ur vid. first person shooting is always best to watch rather than third person view.

  • Beautiful rifle...

  • Whats the scope?

  • Accuracy of the gun/ammunition is quite impressive, esp. in the first shots at the big red plate.

  • How much would that setup cost new? It's beautiful.

  • You ever wander how much lead and steel is in the trees and dirt in tenn. from tnpoutdoors9 and Hickok45? Great vid

  • That. Was awesome.

You do a great service to humanity for producing this.

  • great video! suer light trigger pull, eh?

This is a question not a criticism...

shouldn't one squeeze with the tip of their finger hold it it all the way back until the round contacts then release? I'm curious to learn more about long distance shooting, just a question

    Thanks!!

  • @edd217

Same age as the rifle, 5 years or so.

  • Wow this is cool wish I had a range like that

  • Just awesome video!!! The HD looks badass in 1080p on my 27" iMac....like I'm the one looking through the scope. More vids like this please!

  • AWESOME cam setup!

  • how hard is the steel you are hitting...do you know what kind it is?

  • @rotaryracing1982

AR500, 3/8 thick, equivalent to light armor plating. These bullets shatter at that distance, the target is not damaged.

  • Anyone else want to do this, just so you have basically a detached electronic sight? no? i must be crazy. It just seems awesome to me.

  • Very cool to watch at 1080p on a big screen... makes you feel like you're there doing the blasting.

  • this was awesome!! call of duty eat your heart out!!!

  • really cool way to shoot your Ar, love it

  • this video is amazing! very entertaining to watch, makes me want to ditch my carbine and buy an ar15!

  • i think this video is awesome! it makes me want a leupold vx-III and an HD camera! i'm amazed at how good everything looked through your scope!

  • Interesting custom setup with that gun.

  • that looks like it really hurts wen yu get hit wit that round

  • nice shootin tex

  • The Bob Ross of range shooting.

  • your shot placement through that camera was superb, keep 'em coming!

  • Your welcome. maybe :P

  • I want to see the coyoteess!!!!! shooting... =))

  • im pretty sure thats a plate.. Bang in the distiance OMG FRANK!!!!!

  • subed all i have to say lol

  • 2:54...that was the neighbor coming over to complain about the noise.

  • When I am watching one of your point of view videos like this one, I find myself holding half a breath and waiting for the surprise break of the trigger. These videos actually make me feel like I'm the one shooting!

  • pretty cool idea actually

  • why do people disslike good videos like this?

  • Whats your job? :O

  • @bloodshot16

    YouTube Sniper :-)

  • @tnoutdoors9 Niiiiice ;P

  • @bloodshot16 If he is a real sniper, you'll never know it =)

  • @TheGreatKarod i really don't think so. I REALLLLLLYY don't think so. Actually, I REAAAALLLLY know they are not jealous.

  • i tried the hd setting, and WOW my laptop sucks

  • Comment removed

  • best scope view in action ever

  • amazing vid dude

  • Nice Camera work,

  • Tnoutdoors9, I am a pretty big fan of all your videos, and I am very curious how you can have all this land, ammunition, guns, and yet still have time and money to make these [GREAT] videos. Is the land inherited? Do you get paid for this?

  • @AnthonyTotheRescue

Well, thanks! This tract of land is in the family, I'm pretty much the only person who uses it. I've been stocking up on ammo for several years. Alot of what you see was purchased quite some time ago, I just cycle it out. Regarding the firearms, I've tried to maintain a steady pattern of buying something every year, but recently went on a binge and bought several. I am fortunate to have a great job and just do this in my spare time.

  • @tnoutdoors9

I was wondering how large your tract of land was. I've been contemplating buying my own tract for shooting purposes and as far as I know, the only limitations are sound ordinances in the area. How much land do you think would be large (acres) enough to fit all of your shooting needs? This may or may not include long distance shots (1k)

  • Is that a military trigger (stock ar15) or an aftermarket target trigger? I'm thinking of putting something like a Timney into my target AR15.

  • @exodipus

It's a two-stage trigger, stock on this rifle.

  • the first dislike is from me!!! :)

  • This footage is friggin awesome . Please make more . Do you have automatic weapons to use with this setup ?

  • did u find out who put the satalitte dish were you shoot u should have followed the cord

  • @kyleierlan

Based on recent activities, I'm thinking Bigfoot.

  • =) thumbs up

  • Another excellent video....you're the best shooting channel out there. Thanks

  • tango down

  • That's really an incredible set-up you've come up with. From the looks of the holes in the stock there must be a 1/4" x 20 stud that you anchor the video camera with. The whole thing is just rock solid.

  • @theKGB65

Actually, those holes were from a setup attempt with the standard def camera in 2009 or 2010....it did not work. The bolts hit the recoil spring that is in the stock, not a good thing. Painters tape over the camera, duct tape over that, and a small piece of wood about 3" x 7" for the base....which was set crooked on this video, unfortunately. Extremely cheap but effective.

  • Imagine u accidentally press the bolt release when u load a new mag lol

  • Wow I LOVE watching these scope videos

  • That is so awesome they way you have it seup. It is impressive to see the shoots from the scope. Great video! Hope you make more of these videos.

  • i love this video

  • Man that was Awesome!!

  • Sweet camera skills!

  • So fun.. Great video as always!

  • Impressive

  • Great

  • this video is 3/4 of my dream... the other 1/4 is a pack of zombies coming at me :D when am behind this lol. great vid.

  • Excellent video tnoutdoors. nice solid hits on the plates with those rounds.

  • So powerfull 5.56 conventional ?

  • Whats the heaviest load you have been able to accurately shoot with the 1:9? 69 gr at 500 for me.

  • @talisman9000

Believe it or not, 75 gr at 700 yds. However, 69 gr consistently at 200 to 400 yards. I don't reload, so just wish there were more 69 gr loads produced commercially.

  • That's some good looking glass your using brother.

  • nice vied1 the scope cam is sweet!

  • The Scope Cam is fantastic!

  • I love watching your videos. I can watch you shooting any gun, and by the end of the video, I will want to buy one. Haha. Nice work!

  • Always an informative video! Your camera work is second to none! Thanks!

  • i cant tell if its just the way the camera is mounted on the stock or wat, but it appears as though ur scope's crosshairs aint plumb and level. like i said it could just be the camera.

  • @pokemonrocks08

It's the base I used to mount the camera. I did some non-shooting testing with it tonight and noticed it was out of whack.

  • @tnoutdoors9 ah k because i knew as much as u shoot u would have noticed that. because i notice it imediately if i pick up a weapon that isnt mine. or if i put a new scope on a gun.

  • thats nice!

  • that scope is spot on, nice vid

  • Excellent POV shots!!!! Thanks! almost as fun to watch as shoot..........almost. ; )

  • it looks like a sniper and riffle

  • I'm thinking about teleprompters here. Might sound like a stretch, but think about it. I have no valuable practical suggestions, but if you somehow could set it up so that you can look through the scope past a pane of glass at 45 degrees, with the camera perpendicular to the direction you're shooting, you might be able to shoot like you normally would? Given you have enough eye relief in the optic, etc. Just a fleeting thought. Perhaps someone else has more input?

  • @zooblestyx Second thought, here's another idea. Maybe just as impractical. ^^ How about on a side rail, you could set up a second optic, dedicated for the optic. That would also allow you to shoot wassum video without having to aim through a view finder.

  • What's the longest effective range on that AR? Awesome video by the way.

  • @Grubkat

I've made hits at 700 yards with this setup, video posted early 2010. It will go further, I just need a more powerful scope.

  • @tnoutdoors9 Very nice. I'm looking at ARs.

  • Awsome videos. What great state do you live in to be able to excercise your 2nd Amend rights?

  • @dflgratful

    Tennessee.

  • I love report you get when hitting steel, such a great sound.

  • 2:39 Could've easily been a person wearing an orange/red vest lol

  • @Jakonbacon

Not likely. The attack dogs are great about keeping people off the range.

  • is this how you got osama?

  • SiCK!

  • Honest to god this has to be one of the best videos I've ever seen man... The camera set up is to awsome for words! Great work keep it up!!

  • Nice!

  • Well done sir

  • LOVED the vid!!! great work!

  • Thats just awesome!!!

    5*****

  • awesome man

  • Great shootin'! Looks really nice in HD!

  • Really enjoyed this presentation-thanks!

  • Gotta love the .223 :D

  • that was great what a good idea

  • Nicely done. Great concept the scopecam is. Wonder what night vision scopecam would look like.

Keep up the good shooting and vids man.,

  • @LEXPIX

That could happen sooner than later. I left the mount on the rifle when I put it back in the case. So, the next time it's out............and maybe some tracers also.

  • can you do this with an eotech at like 100 yards i want to buy one but i would like to see the sight picture(please do not co whitness the rifle. reticle only please=)

  • Nicely done. Great concept.

  • wow . i thought i would never come to liking scopes i preferred iron sights but damn this looks cool

  • love it! very nice video!

  • Very clever with the camra scope thing like that would be usful for night time shooting XD

  • that was sweet. amazing how clear it is. that rifle is spot on..nice shooting!!

  • Swwwwwwweeeeeeetttt!

  • 2:38 Random Hobo sleeping in the forest...

  • Wow very cool vid tn....thumbs up!

  • high quality video 5,000 stars!

  • awesome vid my friend!

  • Now if we could just work out how to send the recoil and the smell of burnt powder down the interweb ?

  • This may be a stupid question. but i have never used a proper scope really. not enough to realise. if you move your head from side to side a little, does it make the sight be off target? Or does it work like a read dot sight?

  • Awesome shooting and visuals is an understatement. I have trouble with a scope on an air rifle from Ruger getting it to have a cheek weld consistently so the scope hits where the crosshairs are located. I actually would aim at a close target, pivot and it the distance target, but if I aimed at the distant first it would barely miss to the left. To shoot that well using a camera viewfinder is astonishing.

  • As usual a quality video. Thanks for posting!

  • I think this might be something fun to try! Kinda makes real life like a video game! haha

  • what an amazing video!!! nice job

  • Very Cool.... Geez I love the High Def vid's..... Cheers.

  • I also should point out, this video is probably a first of its kind.

I've never seen someone capture shooting through an optic with a video camera in a stable way, much less where you can see impacts through the optic.

I have to say, doing it HD and doing it to this quality level would make this a first. I don't think anyone else has done this or come close.

  • @skyhop He has plenty of video like this.

  • Really shows the quality of your glass there!

You should do a shooting video like this with a cheap BSA scope, and a leupold, and do them side by side to give people who are new to optics an understanding of quality vs economy.

Would really help people out who are missing the point.

  • Very cool!

  • outstanding!!..gr8t vid.

  • Outstanding!

  • great set up 10/10 vid

  • Nice gun.

  • great stuff

  • That is a real shooters eye view - great job

  • Thats sweet that gun is hitting right were you have it.

  • Fantastic shooting! Great video. Nice camera work! This video is number one!

  • Awesome vid!

  • Those gallons really have a nice response at 200 yards. I wonder if at that range with your setup the bullet is really "doing its job" regarding the ability of the round to tumble and disintegrate.

  • Does that shoot softer than a carbine? I hear having an extended gas system and different buffer tube can make a difference.

  • Very cool...

  • Sweetness

  • nice! please more videos like this.

  • Thats so neat, excellent, excellent video those jugs didn't stand a chance, thanks

  • Awesome!!!!! I wouldn't have found you, if it weren't for Hickok45. Keep up the good work.

  • Tennessee sports are so much better than golf. Rock on TNO9

  • very very nice video ;)

    keep it up mate ;)

  • Way cool

  • Love it! You are such a great shooter, have you ever been in competitions?

  • awesome vid

  • NICE!! Those jugs were going up like they were hit at 50yrds!!
