  • Had the pleasure of celebrating with Rick (Roberts) and his family for his 40th birthday. He was gracious enough to perform for me/us at The SeaWolf, in Homosassa, FL. He did all his hits and some new ones, UNplugged...just an acoustic guitar, a spotlight and that great voice of his. Miss the guy...one of a kind...................

  • One of the reasons we have "Easy-Listening" stations now. Firefall brought that music to the forefront in The 70's. Just listen.

  • Burton Cummings' twin on guitar?

  • 70's music fan still here...feeling nostalgic and missing the days of my youth, this song just happened to pop into my head today.

  • Just remember I love you,chris m kovacs

  • it'll be all White?

  • If only we can see them all together at one concert!

  • this is a great song and a great band but this version is bad. it seems to be lacking something......i just can't put my finger on what it is though ???

  • Mark Andes went to heart, and was ANN WILSON'S boyfriend for a while

  • ...and 2 years later, still no DVD of this.

  • Alikah1- well I'll have to check out chordettes. How come u have an account and nothing on it ?

  • I live in Miami, Florida near Gulfstream racecourse. Nine ten years ago they had concerts at week- ends. Bands like America, Gin Blossoms, Christopher Cross. One magical Saturday i saw Poco, Pure Prairie League, and Firefall. They each did about a forty minute set . Absolute bliss. They don' t have the concerts anymore, they wanted to go upmarket. What a shame!

  • What's wrong with all of u ? This band is f----- GREAT !!!!! How could u NOT of heard of them ?

  • @redskiesrules Well, let's see. Ever heard of a band called the Chordettes? Probably not, as good as they were. Why? Because you are too young to remember them. And that's (probably) why Michere11 hasn't heard of Firefall. Until now, that is.

  • MORE DRUMS!!!!!!!!!!

  • Dude prior to seeing this video if someone had put a gun to my head and asked me what the name of this band was I would be dead. Although I do and always have liked this song

  • wow never heard this band before great song :D

  • Great song ~ but they don't sound too good

  • I will see fire fall and poco and ppl on apr 9 th in williamsport pa.community arts center,I'm counting the days, can't wait.Commity arts is the best place to hear any live band, the place is awesom for music,

  • I love Air Supply !

  • Awww man this brings back many great memories from high school!!! Thanks for posting!!

  • Burton Cummings? LOL!

  • what happend to mark andes ?

  • @alexmonger11 He went to Heart in the eighties, and after a decade with them, returned to session work.

  • @dharmaseed thats right , he was ann wilson's boyfriend for awhile too

  • burton cummings right after coming out of the band the Guess Who-- Burt sounds great! here!

  • @redgrapeskins wrong

  • @redgrapeskins this is Rick Roberts not Burton Cummings...

  • @redgrapeskins this is Rick Roberts not Burton Cummings...what the heck made you think that?

  • great music you can actually hear their voice, that was music, now its all yelling screaming and jumping. WAY TO GO FIREFALL YOU ARE THE MAN!

  • Why cant I find :dolphins lullaby by Firefall?? One of their best ever!!

  • i hope my wife always rember those words love her great song.

  • i love this song! i love the lyrics! i love the horns! it is so smooth! i agree todays music cant hold up to the 70s!

  • @digthetunes Love bands with a great horn section!!!

  • Forever and ever...

  • I love you.

  • Oh my 1979 that was cool

  • I think Steven Stills had something to do with this song. Great song.

  • @greeenroooom Rick Roberts actually wrote it for his wife at the time when they were going through a tough time.

  • One of the best love songs ever written.

  • I saw Firefall be a support act for Little River Band in Australia and I was NO WAY!!! they are much better. I obviously liked them both, but thought Firefall could do their own concert, no worries. Hey! I got to see them live and have 2 LP's of theirs' so all good.

  • the singer is Rick Roberts from the flying burrito brothers also associated with graham parsons.

    Not TOTO. lol

Mark Andes on bass was also with heart.

Jock Bartley on Guitar also played on andy gibbs album, remember "shadow dancin"?

  • @joavotex why did mark andes leave heart ?

  • The early 80's version of Firefall did this way better.....

  • My favorite FireFall member was Mark Andes, he is breath-taking and a great guitarist..

  • is the lead singer the guy from TOTO?

  • This song lifted my spirits, made me aware and affirmed my Faith at a critical time and I no longer take it for granted. How many songs have done that much for you?

    Just remember.

Another Firefall gem of a song: "Someday Soon". (wink) You can't go wrong.

  • rick roberts great singer.firefalls best.

  • Is it me or does the music from the 70's get better with each year we get older?

  • The 70s music isn't getting better. It just has less competition now. None of today's rock music has a lifespan of more than about a week.

  • I think the album version listed Tim Schmidt from Poco (at the time) as a background singer on this song!

  • This song is their magnum opus.

  • I might be aging quickly but this was a decade not to be missed...these guys had several great songs..."headed for a fall"....."You are the woman"

  • i grew up in the 70s luckly survived the 60s lol

  • luv it............any big 70's fans still out there

  • i am living and loving the 70's all the way

  • sometimes i like to go back to the seventies all by myself

  • I saw these guy last night in Ohio, they really impressed me.

  • It would've been nice if the sound guy put the acoustic guitar in the mix. It sounded pretty empty without it. Nevertheless, great video. THE SEVENTIES WERE THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this song reminds me of one of a 1oooo girls that I want out in high school,,el pasoTX,,Sally Ramirez

  • This is a special song. It reminds me of when I first married way back in the 70's.

I'm a grandmother now and it's on my ipod.

    Great song. A classic.

  • I love you Grandma..You GO GIRL..REGARDS..RIC

  • Thanks for the "shout out!"

    I try.

Is this 'THE" Rick, or just someone with the same name?

  • doubleenickelzeta...This is "THE" Ric...probably..someone..VERY HAPPY ..with the same name!!.. THANK YOU..anyway...RICK

  • Reading your comment shows how fast time flies: Married in the 70s, grandmother, iPod ---From a child of the 70s

  • The words we all long to hear, but never really do, except on the radio...

  • I agree..........having been in a long time relationship and now seeking another 1.........big big 70's fan...........anyone else

  • Firefall, Poco, Ambrosia....Great bands!

  • @obxguy1 Yeh Bro You got that right!

  • @obxguy1 Absolutely!! Today's generations are clueless of what a great band or great music is.

  • @obxguy1 don't forget Looking Glass with Brandy...

  • @obxguy1 I'd like to add to your list Little River Band, Player!

  • does anybody have the studio version of this????????????

  • great song.unfortunately music has been dumbed down so everyone can play.

  • A time when we had REAL music!!!

  • @hardlines4 AMEN !!!!!

  • One of my favorite songs ever.

  • This lovely song brings back memories of grade school.

  • Very nice,thanks.

  • I just had to post just to get this out there. My husband and I were recently married after meeting 20 years ago. The lyrics to "our" song (this one) were written down, framed and given to one another as a wedding gift. The interesting thing about this story is that neither of us knew the other was going to do the same thing. This song has more meaning to me than any other song in the world.

Live versions don't usually cut the mustard cause they change the tune a bit, maybe out of boredom?

  • This song was dedicated to me my a very special woman....Too bad I took for granted her and lost her for ever!

    TO ONE VERY SPECIAL WOMNA>>>DINK

    LOVE ALLWAYS

    T

  • Love this song!! =]

  • rick roberts has the perfect voice for this style of music.never forget they came here to the norfolk va scope 78 0r 79 and got snowed in here, great band.

  • I remember seeing this band in 1978 with my high school girlfriend at the Celebrity Theatre in Phoenix, AZ. They were amazing. Margaritas, wine, and breadsticks in the bar. Memories that last a lifetime. God bless you L.S.R. Mike C.

  • the revolving stage! im from phoenix too. lots of goods stuff happens there...

  • agreed. They sound high. lol

  • The drummer recorded our band play. Which was awesome. He's a really nice guy, and is a lot of fun to work with. Kinda funny, we have the same band set up as him :P (As in singer/guitar/bass/drums/sax)

  • The original drummer was Michael Clark who played with The Byrds and The Flying Burrito brothers. He died in 1993 from complications due to alcohol abuse.

  • I was in 11th Grade!!!!!

  • favorited.....

  • Do you have you are the woman from this show?
