@MrChefKris: Yes. Wrath of God is a "global effect". It doesn't target any one specific creature, rather it effects all creatures, hence bypassing protection.

My friend always plays a cruel control deck however after watching this i think hes been cheating. He ALWAYS plays cruel ultimatum without being able to fulfill all 6 effects (for example he may not have a card to brign back from the graveyard or i may not have 3 cards to discard). I may be wrong but according to this video he isnt allowed to do that...correct?

You are incorrect. Crual ultimatum does not target anything besides an opponent. The only way you could stop the effect from fulfilling to the best of their ability is if you made yourself untargetable somehow. Otherwise it will do everything as best it can like make you discard only 2 if you only have 2, or try to make you sac a creature even if you have none.

Thank GOD they got a real judge instead of Mike Lopez. This guy teaches phases and combos and stuff, not just reviewing stupid cards and not knowing the rules.
