Just one question I've had this card for almost a year now and don't plan on changing it. Till the midst next generation console release. About 2013ish. My alienware is a i7 core, 6gb Ram, m17x would a future card still run the next gen games. In about a year or so?

@Cribs00 Eyefinity is bullshit, it keeps the original view by sharing it to 3 monitors, there is no extra view, the only thing you can see is huge icons on multiple screens..

look at windows 7 logo how big it is, why? it should keep it at the original size and give a wider view to the both sides (exactly what we cant have on single monitor).. btw am not talking about the video card here, actually i like ati and nvidia the same.

@Vo0oOo0oV That's what it's exactly doing :D It's not resized resolution, it's wider resolution. For 1080p and three monitors it's 5760x1080 :P And btw, i still don't like Eyefinity, it's stupid for me.

@Vo0oOo0oV trust me it's wider. I agree it's a bad choice of wallpaper, but the icons are exactly the same size as if it was just one screen. there is room for 3 times as many icons, windows, pron vids.... whatever. and you get peripheral vision in games as well

@bfhTCW With a PC, you can do so much more than the Xbox 360 and PS3. It has better graphics, it's more powerful and can handle so much more, and you can even get games for free depending on your source. Plus, a lot of PC games have cheat codes where as PS3 and 360 are lacking on most of the time.

PC also can mod games and more. And there is more space in PCs.

The reason we use a Xbox 360 controller with it is because it is made by Microsoft and is easier than a keyboard(sometimes).

From here, the online is free and the games are cheaper, and you don't need a seperate computer.

If you know how to build (it's easy if you do a bit of reading, just like Lego), you can easily do a PC that rivals the upcoming Xbox 720 specs for £375.

its all about viewing distance! It doesn't matter how big your screen is. My 22 inch wide screen is bigger then this if I sit 1 foot way. and I don't lose the top viewing area, i just lose my eye sight

I'm always confused about terminology used with Video cards. For example, I am considering buying the "gigabyte gv-r6870c-1gd radeon HD 6870 1 GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI express 2.1 x16 HDCP ready CrossFireX support Video Card with Eyefinity" (damn, that's a long name)

Anyway. Is this card (Gigabyte Radeon HD 6870) the "same" as this MSI AMD Radeon HD 6870? Is it as if the "Radeon HD 6870" is the burger and the MSI vs. Gigabyte are like Burger King and McDonald's? Both "burgers" - diff makers?
