  • Ravel=best romantic composer ever.

  • Love B. Greenhouse's playing whenever I hear it.

  • All these appreciative comments are heartening to me and restore my faith in hoping that devotion and understanding of the infinite value of music making on this celestial level is alive and well .

  • timeless..

  • Is that a tear on Greehouse's face @ 6:06?

    RIP

  • @GoddessOfGuinness could be that, or sweat....either way, he was truly great, wasn't he...

  • @gergsar Indeed.

  • The note at 1:38 ... no words.

  • This is totally awesome.

  • these men prove that there are things to care about more than hairstyles.

  • the last cello solo at 6:06 is heartbreakingly beautiful.

  • wow i love this movement! For some reason, it reminds me of Civ III, although my research tells me the game didn't use this piece...

the Civ games have a lot of good classical though, not just a few overplayed works

  • What profundity. Beyond words.

  • Diese Musik ist für offene Wunden Balsam und Salz zur gleichen Zeit

  • i'm a cellist, but cohen makes this performance

  • they play it unbeliavably

  • how deeply sadness is in this music...how lovely, how beautiful: l'esprit du splee est ici...

  • this is really beautiful, one of my new favourites

  • I completely agree. This piece and especially this movement opened my eyes to dimensions of classical music i have never felt on such a level before. Whenever the violin ascends up the g string it has that quality to just put you in comoplete solace.

  • The passacaille is one of the most beautiful pieces of music in my opinion, and I dont understand why this trio isnt played more often. It brings tears to my eyes

  • i love this song. i saw beaux arts trio play this in austin texas and i got them to autograph my copy of the score.

  • this is one of my all time favorite pieces of music and this trio more than does it justice

  • That goes for me also.For 35 years i'm a ravelmad.I think when there wasn't Ravel,

I died long ago.Only his music helped me out of bad situations.

  • This beautiful trio should be played more often. The 3rd movement is especially touching, using the ancient form of a passacaglia. Thanks for posting it moofxx.

    Beautiful performance!
