Good call TransAmluvr! that bugged me when i saw that in the hpp magazine.he needs the correct front air dam too. funny our trans am is not stored in a sealed container and the trunk fits perfect! I never heard of polar white either.

@millersvo hey, not sure what you are talking about concerning the front air dam? Also, the guy says Cameo White, which is coorrect for the '69 TA. Polar white, (you didn't hear that in this video) was used on the '70 and up TAs...

That's a fine looking 69, no argument there! The only thing I question is when the narrator says "fit and finish speaks for itself" as they are panning over the ill-fitting trunk lid. Take a look.........the edge of trunk lid is a good 1/4" higher than the fender. Maybe the wrong weatherstrip under there holding it too high??

well if it makes anyone feel any better, i just bought a '68 firebird 400 H.O. conv. thats a definite project but unlike this dumbass below me, i'm gunna be keepin it pure pontiac. and by the way you dont buy a muscle car to fuck it up and try to get girls. I'd like to get a 1977 - 81 trans am and swap the front end for a 1970 - 73 trans am. Not that I don't love the current front ends, but I've always loved the 70 - 73 versions but I prefer the 1977 - 81 rear end. But don't worry I'm not ruining a beautiful car to score with the girls. I'm doing it to create my own take on a car, and if it gets me girls, than its a bonus for me :P

You don't seem to understand. 1970 - 81 T/A's aren't rare at all so I'm not really butchering anything, I'm merely swapping trans am parts with other trans am parts. Unlike you and your costumers. 68 - 69 firebirds are extremely rarely rare, and by rare I mean only 200,000 ever made. Unlike the 500,000 camaro's. And I have a tough time believing that your customers are trying to turn their T/A's into Camaro's. Just out of curiosity, whats the name of your company?Do you have supporting evidence?

Why would you ruin a trans am? I have a hard time believing that women, girls whom ever, prefer camaro's over Trans Am's. early T/A's are rare and far more expensive than Camaro's, so why didn't you just sell your T/A and buy a Camaro? You'd be able to have some cash left over on the side. And maybe someone who appreciates T/A's can treat it better than what you've been doing to it.

True you cant get your meathooks on any T/A's or birds roundhere cause people buy em cheap do easy mods load with bondo, presto camaro for 20 gs. Next time you see old camaro is likely a recycled bird(all my parts from China supplier)now customer wants to convert a newly found 69 T/A. Camaro front,keep Firechicken rear& 302 Boss, top shave Firechickens rare cause nobody wants em.Sadly they are worthless cars that people can butcher to make serious coin

@FANADICALCOWHEAD I won't speak badly of any of the brands because I love them all. But I have to agree with you. Throughout the ages and generations, in my opinion, the Firebird / TA has been a better looking car than the comparable Camaro. Especially when you get to the 90's!

I just love T/As Gen I thru IV. This is a sweet 69.

Don't get me wrong,because I like Camaros too, but T/As have always been Top Dog in my book. They're cooler than Fonzie Brah!

It pains me to think anyone would take the better looking F-body cars, that ran faster, and make them into another Camaro.

T/As were the last true Muscle car era hold outs. Even when they said the muscle car era was dead T/As came from the factory pulling 13sec ETs and 14 sec ETs all the way to 1979.

I knew this guy that was selling a 69 firebird. the only work he done to it was new qaurters and they were for a camaro. he said to me if i bought it all i had to do was change the front. i looked at him like he was nuts so i told him i'd put the proper qaurters back on and keep it a firebird.
