Tried something similar but the tomato's all died used an Led light and it was in January the temperates at night got down low even indoors.I guess you are in Cali or someplace warm.

it would be good to do a taste test of artifical lights vs sun light tomatoes. Artificial will never be as powerfull as sun light but you can get some pretty good results from hps lamps. Aeroponic tomatoes can be absolutely huge. WHat ever you grow in hydro just make sure you flush with water for a week or 2 before eating. I've heard nasty stories about supermarket hydro food is not flushed as they dont give a fuck about the consumer and only care about it being sold for money

What did u feed your plants? My tomato is really tall but stetchy and the bottom sets of leaves are dying... What do i do? Silica Blast was recomended but i didnt like the guy so lol so now i'm asking you, thanks dude.

Hydroponic growth is really interesting stuff. I would love to see this method of plant/vegetable growth extensively researched. I bet someone could design a machine that would test and adjust the ph level, pollination, mineral level, light absorption of plants and overall cleanness of the water (through filtration), and maintain the healthiest and fastest growth of a plant. Genetics of each plant would also need to be taken into account of course, so the genome project could be useful as well.

What wattage are your CFLs? I just got some 26 watt (equivalent of 100 watt) 2700K lights... I wanted the 6500K but I wasn't paying attention :)

Will 2700K lights work very well for seedlings? 2700K is more for flowering, I know that much.

You should make a video on how to force flowering/pollination of plants. I have a jalapeno plant I need to pollinate!

Also im thinking of growing some chillies useing that cheep system you made using the water bottle but i would like to know how it worked out for you. then maybe make a system like what you use or buy one from you eather way i would like to give back to you for getting me into growing my own stuff.
