yeah i have a behringer vamp but the floor model with wah wah pedal..and when playing with distortion plugged to pc..and i have a HD sound card with low latency..but the buzz noise is killing me!!!..you have to set the noise gate to MAX!..but you lose sustain in the notes..and that sucks big time!!..i had no problems with buzz noises with my old POD!

I have one and my biggest gripe with it is that there is no on/off switch on the unit. You must unplug and replug to turn it on and off. Over time that can fry the unit. Trust me. Nearly all the patch banks on mine now sound slightly flatulent. Very annoying. I've since looked around and I'm trading mine in for Line 6 Pod Studio UX2. Just beware folks - no on/off switch and having to use the plug to turn it on and off is just plain bad.

there's an easy fix for smart people: leave the v-amp pluged in and unplug the other end of the powercord. you can even plug it into a connector strip with an on/off switch.

gain: 3/4

bass: somewhere between 1/2 and 3/4

mid: somewhere between 1/4 and 1/2

trebble: somewhere between 1/2 and 3/4 but less than the bass

you misunderstood me. I want to purchase the v-amp only for its reverb. I've been comparing the BOSS RV-5's modulation mode reverb to the v-amp reverb, so far the v-amp has a longer reverb that could be used well with volume swells like a synth for a cheaper price. But the Boss RV-5 is 60 dollars more for a single pedal and I've seen no vids on either reverb pedals on the quality of their reverb.

I disagree, your going for paying for the name rather then Quality. Behringer produces a more transparent sound. Line 6, boss, and zoom produce very compressed tones. The Vamp amazingly doesnt which makes its modeling that much better

you can do it either way.

if u put it either way. if u put it through the effects loop on ur amp, the amp's overdrive/distortion will be first in the signal path.

how's the delay effects? can it emulate u2's "the edge" sound? There's lot of guitar effects out there that can do lots of distortions but very poor in the delay/echo effects.

sure i think it can do more than that imagine the spring reverve with 3-4 seconds delay and the tuning is so fine like it has more tone and sharpness, but if i have more money i would have boss cause its better and reliable and alot better than v-amp 2

I don't usually use pedals, usually just use an amp with good distortion. but on occasion I use the zombie rectified distortion pedal from rocktron and the seymour duncan pickup booster SFX-01 wich is great.  I use my V amp for recording though, I have always found it fairly useful for that.

for a really heavy distorted sound dont use any cabinet go all the way to zero. rem. u have 15cabinets? ucan adjust that to14-01 or to zero which means ur not using any cabinets.that is heavy.but me i just use the regular setting on that video and the settings on that little mixer that i used.low in base high in highs medium on midrange.
