I watched this live with my sister back in 2001 and it was heart breaking. We even wrote to AJ and told him that we thought he was doing the right thing and received a postcard back! I remember crying watching this. I'm glad this is out there and they did not lie about the situation. Addiction is a disease and it is a fight everyday!

Looking back and not to sound morbid or disrespectful but this announcement to me was the signalling of the end of The Bill Clinton care free ninties and look what just happened two months after this was announced September 11th happened and Pop slowly fizzled out in Canada and The United States.
