Good band that Ive seen live a few times. I think they are kinda a one trick pony. Mostly 4x4 grooves, same sound in the vast majority of their tracks. STS9 dominates them.

How are they not a jam band? That ain't all written arrangement my friends, The New Deal is out there jamming, aka improvising, and they can definitely hang with the best. They get lumped in with Tribe and Bisco because these are all jam bands trying to master electronic music with live instrumentation But seriously, lets all take drugs and get down!

I'm pretty sure they are under the same label as the Disco Biscuits so they used to tour together all the time. They don't really fit the jam band genre however.
