@KaiserJames Germany and Italy are and will be comrades in arms forever but it was Hitler who was hurt by the military alliance with Mussolini. He had to break away a whole division from operation barbarossa to help with the Greco-Italian war which slowed the german advance by a few weeks and the Italian front in north africa was deteriorating which took more german troops from the russian front. If anything it was Hitlers mistake to form that alliance.

However, Fascist philosophy was vial then, and it is vial now, and WW2 wouldn't have happened if not for its unrealististic, brutal and self-serving ambitions.
