Oops...I guess I should have mentioned he was initially detained because he was stumbling around, grabbing multiple strangers' beer to fill his stein. It appeared he was separated from his friends, or perhaps they ditched him for obvious reasons, and the cops just wanted him to call someone to take him home. He took off running instead so he got arrested :)

I'll maintain always until my time of death that law enforcement officers should wear not sunglasses, but a cover or hat for sun protection. Sunglasses transform what may have been a pleasant officer of the law into one ready to tangle with the public for no good reason, simply as means to "looking the part." Munich cops are cool and don't bother you even if your face down planted on the grass (they might even put your wallet back in your pocket if it fell out). These Texans don't understand what Oktoberfest is really about...they don't understand the meaning or the culture behind it. If you go to Munich you can be happy with beer...you don't have to worry about a**hole cops.

In my opinion Texans "water down" Oktoberfest and should be band from making their "own interpretation" of it!
