  • makes me cry ..EVERYTIME I HEAR HIM GIVE HIS TO US: ITS SUCH A BLESSING!! TO HEAR HIS AMAZING VOICE THAT WAS SENT FROM GOD IS ALL I NEED TO HEAR....WHETHER ITS PERFECT OR NOT.... I'M NOT CONCERNED ABOUT THAT... HE HAS THE ABILITY TO MAKES ME FALL IN LOVE WITH MY FAV OPERA OVER AND OVER AGAIN....... AUAGH!!! SIMPLY

  • Az egyik legnagyobb kedvencem Bocellitol

  • BRAVISSIMO VERAMENTE =)

  • Mis respetos a Boccelli y Pavarotti, pero Jose Carreras vive y hace sentir esta aria, su alma si que es millonaria!

  • This recording came out 20 years ago. Andrea Bocelli's opera technique has really improved since then.

  • not 20! It was in 1999!

  • care to point me to examples?

    I mean that, cincerely.

I really like his timbre, but his technique puts me off, when it comes to opera pieces.

  • he lacks some of the basic principles of musical interpretation and technique in his voice, his interpretation is bland and boring , where is the passion and energy at 2:25 thats one of the greatest Puccini moments ever and hes hardly hitting a forte let alone the rest of the piece where he stays at a static Mezzo Piano, he's a joke and an embarrassment to opera

  • @Buzaglod You are right up yourself! Just read what Pavarotti said about Bocelli's voice!

We are NOT impressed by your Operatic snobery or by your self centered criticisms

of a man with a voice that would grace any world stage. Millions of admirers can't be wrong! Unlike you who is often wrong and Stupido!

  • mah...

  • Beutifull and he has my respect . I would love to sit in his home and listen to honest people respecting each other Love to shake his wifes hand Thank you special Regards Michael Meechan from Aussie

  • Bocelli is a remarkable talent. No, he's not Caruso, or Pavarotti, and certainly not Placido. But his sweetness and reverence for the material is breath taking, he sings pianissimo sublimely, and when he hits and holds those high 'C's', his contribution to the greatness of operatic music is undeniable. He brought more people to opera than anyone, and for that, we owe him much, including respect. Bravo, Andrea...I love your Puccini...

  • Bocelli is a light lyric tenor! i prefer a Lyric Spinto or a Dramatic Tenor singing this!

His voice is abit on the thin side. But still 5/5 stars for effort and good rendition.

  • I think this aria is perfect for an lyrico spinto like Pavo.

But I love Bocelli's voice and he sang very well.

  • the best tenor with the most wonderful high C in the world ! i love bocelli very mush !

  • bravo andrea! a thin voice but very smooth to the ear.

  • @adremoid smooth and weak mind you

  • Yes, it is sweet, but common... the middle of this aria is not good. He got great help from mics in that part. That part of the aria needs a more open, free and strong voice. And to jagcf: This is a studio recording. They do polish and mix!

  • lol u should have seen the live version, he hit the high C even better then in here and the role of Rudolfo if perfect for him and i dont know wats up with the critics i mean always making comments as if anyone cares about their opinions; opera is ment to be for the people not for the elite who think they know it all!

  • The elite are people.

  • I saw La Boheme yesterday but Rudolfo was not even close Bocelli. His voice is amazing in here and that high C! WOW

  • this is such an unbelievably sweet, dolcissima interpretazione. Bocelli is not a person I consider to be an opera singer by trait, but those who denigrate his Bohème are simply haters. And I can't hate a man who tries like Andrea.

sure, his technique is not flawless. his voice is small in operatic terms. but he has the heart of a lion and one of the most naturally pleasant voices in history. he has a will to perform like no one else before him. it is for THIS that I adore Andrea Bocelli.

  • he also has amazing breath control, and his mix of head voice and chest voice is incredible, his technique is very difficult to learn, but really beautiful.

  • take it from a great local tenor, he adores very much andrea's breathing technique that even trained tenors couldn't adapt.

  • His high C is perfect. Bravo Bocelli!

  • yes it is utterly stupendous

  • Agree, perfect

  • you don´t hear good jaja

  • there is a live version on youtube watch it and see his high c, amazing!

  • please sent me the link i can`t find it!

  • check my profile the video of this same aria is thre by andrea live. :P

  • i like when he sings this area more that all who have sang it before him

he has in my opinion the most amazing voice of all time maybe not opera materiel but his notes are just unhuman, and much more plesant to lison to than all the very powerful voices like Pav (who i love too) and domingo, etc

  • wonderful bocelli, i love this aria in his voice!

  • pavarotti is 10 times better, but bocelli is ok

  • I think Carreras performance untill the high C is better than Pavarotti's. His interpretation of the role is better. Bocelli is a great singer, and he did a nice work here.....

  • yes, Carreras is a great Rodolfo.

  • Yeah he is. :-D

  • Not really. Dumb Comment.

  • fabulous!
