Former heavyweight boxing champion Joe Frazier was arrested Friday morning for assaulting a woman in a domestic dispute, police said.
Frazier, 60, was taken into custody in North Philadelphia around 7 a.m. and was charged with simple assault and reckless endangerment, police said. He was in jail Friday afternoon awaiting arraignment.
Someone called 911 from the home and when police arrived, a woman who opened the door had injuries to her lip and face and alleged that Frazier struck her

Joe in my mind beat Ali in all 3 fights. Art Rust Jr. felt as i did Joe won the 2nd fight. And all Joe had to do in 3 was stand up at the end of the 14th , Ali would have quit. And if Foreman was Joe's size ( Foreman was huge) Joe would've beat him too. And as much as i dug Tyson , Frazier would've destroyed him.

Frazier never had the chin to beat a puncher like foreman,which is why he spent his entire career ducking them.Size wasn't the issue there.And Tyson would have destroyed Frazier in even quicker fashion.

i heard about that. not sure what all that was about though but putting that aside i dont think it hurts joe's legacy as a fighter, the fact is that he was an amazing fighter and athlete and he should have a statue of him up in philedelphia if their gonna keep one up of a ficticious boxer named rocky balboa but they should put one up of him either way really. id be proud of him beign from my city so they should be too.

if your talking about ali's condition its not from boxing...parkinsons is a genetic disorder and isnt linked to anything else. not saying that boxing helped with the issue but even if ali had never fought in his life, he was still gonna get parkinsons because it was in his genes to get it. im not an ali fan so im not defending him but thats just how it is.
i see. so do you think ali would've still got parkinsons without having ever been a boxer? i guess thats a question that couldnt be answered though. i suppose its possible that parkinsons could be in someones genetics and them still not get it and possibly boxing could assist them in getting it but who knows i suppose.

if your talking about ali's condition its not from boxing...parkinsons is a genetic disorder and isnt linked to anything else. not saying that boxing helped with the issue but even if ali had never fought in his life, he was still gonna get parkinsons because it was in his genes to get it. im not an ali fan so im not defending him but thats just how it is.

You can't say that he would still have got parkinsons even if he didn't box. Ali suffers from parkinson syndrom, not parkinsons disease.

People who experienced a head injury are four times more likely to develop Parkinsons than those who have never suffered a head injury.
