I have to confess that I always skipped this track when listening to Déjà Vu. God, the guy had only two songs in the album, it is not possible he did not have a better one in his vault. Now we know why The Birds fired the freak. Image him showing up at rehearsals saying man I have this great new song. Now looking at all the old Crosby videos, it kind of fits. Still annoys me endlessly but it makes sense.

Saw them live a few times back in the day. Played this song and many others in garage band. Plan to play it again soon with a group of locals. This and Long Time Gone played more like Santana. (Gotta get those minor 7ths in there.) Stills had a big influence on my style. I suggest young people go back and listen to Buffalo Springfield, Crazy Horse, Hollies.

@seacow313 cool. They're great guitars if you've got the space - just don't turn round quickly when playing one. I've not heard the minihumbuckered les pauls but suspect they'd sound good too. Alas the firebird copies I've tried don't do it - maybe with original pickups in they would. Wish I could afford one - but I'd need to knock a wall down.

Excellent posting, this is when it was still just about the music. After mtv, you just had to be half as good if you looked good. It became a 50/50 thing afterwords, the looks coming first, now they can make you sound good. Glad to see it hasnt been lost to the listeners anyway. Where is the progression of sound gone ? Rock and roll develed into the guitar, the Big Bands the brass like never before. Where is the new Quality sound ? Teach your children well, share this vid.
