Ok a couple things to consider. One, there are a lot of people that speak Afrikaans so it has a right to be an official language. Two, IT IS AN OFFICIAL LANGUAGE. Three, it is one of the only european languages that have mutated enough in a colony to become a recognized its own language. Four, notice how its not the first language in the anthem. So therefore you can't say they make as if its the most important one, because its not. Its on level footing with the others.
