Ojala que fuera asi, pero la historia nos ensena que muchos ni son capaces de tales sentimientos tan fuertes, ademas por ser imperfectos no se puede negar la influencia de las sociedades y comunidades en que vivimos. Si, es posible que uno trate de superar los obstaculos impuestos por su propia familia, comunidad, etc., pero la sociedad tambien puede vengarse de actos de rebelion y nonconformidad...los resultados se pueden testigar en esta pelicula por ejemplo.

Se trata de un contexto en que existen obstaculos casi insuperables...se puede comparar con la novela de "Anna Karenina" en que las consecuencias sociales son absolutamente horrificas debido a las impuestas obligaciones culturales y doble moral...

My sincere request to all of you, Watch Bimal Roy's version of Devdas, starring, Dilip and Suchitra for this heart-rending scene of the story. I don't mean to offend any one's sensibilities; but Bimal Da's direction is artistically subtle, acting so superb, and music effects so heart-stopping! The movie and the dialogues still etched in my heart. Please see that movie.
