Have never seen that but... I did saw my computer light up... one second and then... there was smoke and after that... the stench of... burned plastic. Yep I burned a nice hole in the motherboard there... Now mind you that was yeaaaaaaaars back okay... I have learned. I only now set scanners and printers on fire... By letting the cat sleep on it for some weeks and without cleaning using it. Garanteed working there. Good for cold winters too!

I know this is an old video, And this may have already been mentioned. But my thoughts as to why they made it to were you have to plug a wire into it, Is so that you can still use the lighter while it is plugged into your computer and not have to eject/unmount it every time you want to light one up.
