-My thoughts are with you guys-

  • Que esta desgracia no vuelva a ocurrir..... :( :(

    saludos desde Peru

  • @NlkOlVy Si volvera a ocurrir. No hoy,no mañana pero algun día.

  • My parents were in this quake. This was hard to watch..

  • @uehed dude its totally real cuz its very popular and most of the people of chile didnt die and much of them film when they where in the earthquake =/

  • Comment removed

  • @uehed where do you want him to be ?? that's exactly what chileans are trained to do, stay under the door, and by the way this video is real, is one of the most emblematic videos recorded after the earthquake.

  • @uehed OK... BUT CHILE ITS A SAVE PLACE YOUR COUNTRY SURVIVIDED THE MOST STRONG EARTHQUAKE ON HISTORY???????

  • @uehed ok, you have a real sirious problem.

  • OMG!!!! This must have been totally devasting!!! Im mexican and we all remember 1985´s big disaster. Story repeats (But it dosen´t matters where)

ODM!!!!

  • Find out when next earthquake may occur:

    WORLD-EARTHQUAKES . COM

  • man this really makes me want to move out of southern california, I know we'll never have an 8.8 here, it's impossible with the type of faults we have here(strike slip) but it's still scary.

  • so thats how you put a woman back in order..

  • hi

  • mor like, cought on audio!

  • Sounds like chewbacca takin a shit

  • Impresionante.

  • I have been there before

  • christchurch earthquake was scary... at 4:35am i was in bed and then the 7.1 hit and the earth moved like 10metres in one direction!

  • my mom was acting the same when the earthquake hit here in san diego on easter day.

  • I am a Chilean and in this video are shown the 4 main reasons why so many of us survived to this earthquake

    - get your people all together in a safe place

    - cut the electricity

    - get a portable radio

    - remain calm

We are trained since elementary school to do that, and thank god we all did.

  • @fabitocl Im from california and this is the same training we get in elementary school as well especialy when we were having lots of earthquakes in the early 90's. Good way to survive :)

  • @maharley27 Elementary? Thats it? We still get trained for this kidna stuff and im in 10th now. At least in Long Beach were still trained.

  • @TheBassguy1 Since we kids, and at hoem, you know life saving stuff ;)

  • it was a 8.8! do you know what is that?! 8.8 was terrible

  • they were smart to get in a door way. I'm glad they're ok. That sounded really scary. Especially when the quake was louder than the screaming woman.

  • I would like to ask any of the people of Chile if there happens to still be any American troops or agents there who have been stationed and assisting in help or reconstruction there in Chile. Has the activity gone down, or has it remained the same? I ask this for reasons I will choose not to disclose.

  • @unfolding83 Well... I don't know specifically what country helped in what, but we recieved meccano bridges, field hospitals and much more helpful things. At the moment the activity has gone down, it has actually disappeared. Anyway, my answer is not reliable at all, so if you want more info you can send an email to the Chilean Government... Also i only have 15 years so you can doubt of my words. Greetings! (sorry if you don't understood my english)

  • @unfolding83 no american troops, actually all the help was in the first months and in specific locations, but now we're back to normal so

  • @unfolding83 we dont' have any foreing troops in our country, chilean armed forces take controle of the situation 3 dias after the eartquake, we didn't need foreing troops. The reconstruction started months ago, the proyection is to have all perfectin 3 years, but now is all normal.

  • @elbucalemuchile @rodnnie @elbucalemuchile Thank you for answering I appreciate it.

  • omg ! thats so scary :(

  • Ontario and Quebec in Canada this year we had a 5.5 mag Earth quake lastd about 30 seconds. My girlfriend felt it but me in another room about 15 feet 4m or so away felt nothing. it covered from Toronto to Kitchener to Timmins to a good part of Quebec and Ottawa. I think i can guess its scary when its at night but ours was in the day time. But I was still worried cuz we did not know it was 5.5. Or if how far and strong,OMG.

  • @darian1968 now imagine a 8.8 earthquake 2 minutes long. i live in california we have a lot but not 8's

  • muchas grasias yo soi de chile y yo vivi el terremoto i love chile i from chile

  • Seriously, this is one of worst experiences I've ever lived. The alarms, the confusion, the sound of the earthquake; It' just enough to kill a 15 years old's hopes to pass the last days of his summer vacation in a tranquil way...

Also the next days were also very awful. There was no water, no cellphone signal neither power supply, and filled with fear about incoming seisms...

  • Did you hear Jesus? He love's you, but you don't believe in Him. Just believe and nothing can be scary for you.

English: Very kind words. It must have been awful there during an earthquake. (I speak English I'm just translating this.)

  • There was an earthquake her in the USA. It was a 5.2. Nowere near the strenght of your earthquake. The cieling fan rattled. There was a jolt wich sounded like a very strong wind. I totally cant even imagine what it was like to be in that earthquake.

  • That must have been terrifying.

  • @emsky333 Believe me, it truly was. My mom had to wake me up and that night we couldn't sleep. Specially with the incoming seisms that normally come after big earthquakes like this one. After this I would say this is my first earthquake and it was really a nightmare...

  • i was in Chile for the earthquake i was sleeping and i had my cat on my bed and when it began to tremor i felt my cat's claws dig into me if it wasn't for my cat wouldn't have woken up. also in the news they just found out that it was 3 earthquakes simultaneously

  • i like crackers with my Chili :)

  • @oxypimp1 don't you catch this really ?

this was the 5th worse earthquake in the history

actually Chile is world champion on earthquakes ¬¬

  • @nitepipe i completely see the reality in this. From the complete understanding of global warming,to weather changes to earthquakes to tsunami's and fault line shifts.I understand the airport less than 20 miles from me bringing haitians into the states 24 hrs a day when this happened for healthcare.Sometimes i just get upset with US bashers, when this country does help others in crisis. We are the world champions in bailouts.I feel for all those people in harms ways.

  • WTF!!!! O_O

  • I swear it made me cry :(

  • Mayan 2012 strikes.

  • i hope never come again for the chile people

  • The man who is comforting the child is a HERO.

Nothing but a HERO. He is calm and this IS LOVE more than I can IMAGINE!!

HE IS AN ANGEL FROM GOD!

  • where is the earthquake gonna head next? CHINA?

  • I´m chilean....

This earthquake was very scary and powerfull...

I was in my bed on a second floor...

The sound and the movement was very loud...

    I survive 8.8 chilean earthquake...

  • @odracir19891 i'm chilean too

    just 15 years old

this was my first earthquake in my live

i was soo scared. i was sleeping then the noise waked me up

the next days were horrible and soo boring

  • @odracir19891 i'm glad you survived,an earhtquake has just occur in the philippines nw, wd 4.3 magnitude and wer already scared, in chile it was 8.8, and it's way scarier, i hope u could all recover already..God bless u

  • @wintershins actually it was 9,2 with a tsunami. good thing my house isnt near the sea!

  • @odracir19891

OH MY GOD!!!!! Are you ok? is your family ok? i hope they are!

  • good

  • Uhm, isn't it better to GOT OUTSIDE during an earthquake? Is it some security rule that I am not aware of?

  • @Finalkfka no, it's better stay in the house go to the wall, or some door and stay there during the earthquake and when the quake ends go outside.. cause if u go outside like during the quake u can get injure or make other people go crazy and not be calm =)

  • No it is not unless you are out in an open field with no high objects nearby, You are much safer indoors. Outside debris, power poles, and even buildings that do withstand the earthquake shed debris from high up and may fall on people. That is much deadlier than debris falling on you indoors. That is actually only second most deadly to being a collapsing building is being outside and getting killed by debris.

Of course unless you are in a poorly built building then you are fucked regardless.

  • @Finalkfka - Not everyone in Chile lives in a nice home built to last. Many people's homes were completely crushed in the earthquake due to lack of proper building materials. So, yes, it is better to go outside in this situation.

  • Yes you are right. I tried to go outside but the movement was so strong I could not walk. After that horrible 2,8 minutes I found myself triying to open the door. After that driving like crazy to the top of a hill to avoid the tsunami. It was horrible but we survived. But again, it is better going outside, trust me.

  • my house has about 40 years, and it didn't fall down xD well if you see

  • @crazybosnianboy the tsunami destroyed lots of houses, but not the earthquake, the earthquake destroyed old things and bad things :P, well i'm from Concepción and where I live everything's normal, we have luck that the tsunami didn't affect us... byebye

  • best thing to do is stay under the frame of a door.

    Saludos.

  • OMG!!!!!

  • Like I said

  • You don't really know anything about God or Chile you arrogant jerk. Hopefully God will have no mercy on you for your evilness.

  • @irfanej god isn't real you lost soul

  • @DiogoE6 if you want to know what lost looks like, look in the mirror. pity on you.

  • If God did that for Chile, then you should be the one worried for what Im sure he has prepared for yours.... asshole

  • Best wishes for Chileans!

  • "OMG this s#@t is long" - thats what she said

  • FUERZA CHILE!

Seriously though, I may not be chilean but I am so proud living here and having been amongst some of the greatest people in one of the greates countries in the world. Chile has survived something which would have left other countries in ruins, multiple times.

    FUERZA CHILE!

  • im from chile and im getting tired of that HAARP shit. chile is a sismic country, we have 6 out of the top 10 bigger earthquakes of recorded history... the fucking flashes in the sky were electricity terminals exploding. a LOT of people died and lost everything they had, i find it disrespectful to hear foreigners talking about that HAARP crap.

  • @dariovillano Lights were caused because of the triboluminescence, and yes i dont think its the haarp crap

  • @ThepipexCool triboluminiscence my ass!, it was caused by the electricity cables shaking and causeing adpators' collapse ! it was TERRYFING when you looked at the sky!

  • @PeperoBoy I was at there, and yes, some power suppliers exploded. But if you investigate a bit more. You can find it is triboluminiscense, the energy from the earthq was also liberated into the Air. Thats why the sky got a red color 1-2 days after the earthquake.

  • @dariovillano x2 I'm chilean too and I think the stupids that speak about the HAARP shit need a psichiatrist urgently.

  • @dariovillano Nicely said. I'm a foreigner and i'm tired about hearing about that haarp crap too. Do they really find earthquakes or natural disasters that unbelievable? Yo estaba en el temblor de Mexico. I hope everyone is doing better in Chile.

  • anybody would be scared in this situation fuck what you say..... the world is really coming to a end...... its fucked up

  • @elmafia187 u idiot the eart wont come to an end in 2 years. Silly silly you!~

  • @TheRobloxmoviemaker1 i didnt say it was coming to an end in 2012 thats what you wanted to hear. I said its coming to a end as its going to happen sometime soon.

  • @ Elmafia187 wutever

  • @TheRobloxmoviemaker1 the truth is hard to handle jesus is our only hope... believe it.

  • vuena amigo... good post man... it really made me feel

  • ............

  • oh-mmmm-geez o: ... ... ... ...

  • The plates are moving becuase this one in chile was the second biggest earthquake and haitte was the third and indonisia was the first I hope one doesn't hit San Francisco in California!

  • @KingJonYill i hope we can understand that Jesus will return soon perhaps sometime in our lifetime and this earthquake has moved the earth's axis slightly, which is something to take notice of. in the news they said about the next storm to come could be globally dangerous. i am not saying the world will, end, but as a strong Christian, i am wanting others to be aware and ready. thank you

  • @ekimbell so, as a strong christian, you want to enlighten people to the fact that the world might end soon? thanks. i really want to be a christian now. how do i sign up?

  • @phixxwutwut yes i probably need to bring this understanding to more people, as well as doing a better job encouraging others to develop a relationship with Christ. i can message you a little of what Christ has shown me about how to be a true Christian.

here are some things we've been aware of:

    1. is NWO- one world gov't = one world religion? (revelations)

    2. are more plagues to come worse than bird flu = pestilence (Jesus's teachings)

    3. more wars and peace in jerusalem soon?

    and more......

  • nono.

the earthquake of 1960 in chile of 9.5 was the first biggest earthquake in the world.

then the second one was in indonesia.

this last earthquake in chile was the 5th biggest in the world.

  • Is known by every chilean that in their lives they are going to experience at least one earthquake. A lot of ppl think is cos the earth is coming to an end. Well we have been having huge earthquakes in my country for centuries and the world havent end ^.-.

If GoD send us an earthquake, also send us the strength to fight and go on.

    Fuerza Chile!!!

  • @Silvichan sometimes God may cause certain things to happen, but other times, things will happen by their own doing as the Lord has designed the earth to operate on its own without his interference. sometimes you don't know if he is causing something or if he is not, but this earth and creation works regardless and is not meant to last forever. if we trust in Christ and keep our prayers high, we will be safe amidst anything that will come our way, he can have a place for us with him in heaven.

  • What about the stuff yet to come?

What about the people who think that bad things will never happen to them?

What nation is this nation you want to talk about?

What about today in comparison to Noah's days?

  • When does the East get involved?

  • pray doesn't help us at all

we need real things, not unicorns

    :P

  • That's how the Northridge earthquake was like. Nonstop shaking and pitch darkness.

  • Oh ya, that's wat I would do when there's a fuckin earthquake, whip my fuckin camera out

  • wow that wuz some sad stuff in chille i gave 100$ to a charity to help people in chille hopefully we all will help and the worse is not yet to come

  • We might be seeing more of this in other countries
