i just purchased a 15' macbook pro to replace my toshiba laptop that i purchased last fall. i have the iphone 3gs and i would like to use it with my macbook however, it wont let me. i have no way of getting my songs or pics off my toshiba so i would like to just take them off my phone and put them onto my new computer. do u have any idea how i would go about doing this?

That is a REALLY open question.

You should be able to sign into iChat using the Jabber profile; do a google search for exact settings (Google will have them on their page somewhere), then that should work, but if it's not...

Try Adium; as far as I know, it doesn't have all the functionality of iChat, but it allows multiple accounts to run at the same time, and is skinnable...so; it's not all bad..

But check to make sure all your settings in iChat are right, then if they are and it still doesn't work, try Adium..
