@flamedrag18 All I had to hand was some old .69" balls which are undersized. I'm guessing it takes around a .715" ball or so. Like a Bess. But the barrel is much thicker than any Bess I've seen. It's like a small mortar.
@Cosmoline your likely right, but the british were known to use musket balls from .68 to .72 for the brown bess, so your .69 should be fine to use in this .75 musketoon, have fun.
These are fun shooters to say the least,lol. I have an 1842 smoothbore Springfield musket(69.). I fire buck and ball combos.

you can load it with shot or buckshot too or any thing that fits down the barrel

so I'm guessing this was a .75 caliber ball or was it under bore like traditionally?
