it's true that it should be a little faster but I think that the feeling you add to it is more important than the velocity itself...I really like the dynamics, they are really good from my point of view
Very nice. May I suggest, don't ignore the music in it. Mastering the technical demands are not quite enough. There is a lovely melody at .33+. Then the harsh recap. at 1:23 - really bring out the left hand. At 1:40 - right and left can play so well together. You do the rush to the climax nice around 2:45. Please record this again after 4-5 years, I would love to compare.
This piece is insane... when you think you can play it faster and better and bla bla so try it and upload it! =D You can play it faster yes, but you can't hold the speed... ; )

Don't diss other people who are trying to build confidence and their abilities. The top notes are harsh though and it should be faster. Good playing though.
@SirithHeruwen for a czerny etude, speed is at least 80% of the preformance. And his preformance isn't perfect at all. On some places his right hand is sloppy, he colud definitely use a metronome on some places. he pointed out the main melody but that is not enough for a perfect preformance.
I like the sound of the Hamburg Steinway Full Grand! How lucky... it must been filmed in Europe cuz here in USA... the New York Steinway sounds like crap!!!
В начале клипа слышен голос, вероятно преподавателя, " Отдохни немножечко, просто спокойно..." Он играет очень хорошо! Даже в этом темпе хочется слушать это исполнение. Все очень четко, чисто и эмоционально.
Actually i think these etude is not one of the difficultes from czerny and here it's played not as fast as it is supposed to be. But please don't get me wrong.. in his others videos you see he has the techniq to play everything he wants. I think in this case he just wanted to make more musical interpretation in stead of run trough this piece.
i think this piece if listened to by someone who didnt know anything technical about music, they would assume this was a normal piece. i actually like listening to czerny depends on the piece though. school of velocity is kind of boring. but the art of finger dexterity i like alot.
this is simply amazing, the acoustics of the romo add to the effect also :) simply amazing!! any chances you know where i can get the sheet music? thanks :)
I think it'd be more beautiful, if it was played a bit faster.

troppa lentezza e chiarezza in questo caso conferisce inespressività al pezzo

It's better that you play at a comfortable tempo instead of forcing yourself to play fast, which results in a mediocre performance, so nice job! :D

i hate all Czerny's etudes but this is one is great. how much did it take to you to learn it? i think it is very difficult

well his etudes aren't exactly supposed to be liked... they were written as exercises for finger dexterity and velocity
