lol, actor, assistant, location, lighting... steadicam doesn't quite solve all of those problems. But it does make wedding videos look VERY VERY COOL! (or any other event videography for that matter)

How heavy a camera could you fly on the Merlin for long periods of time before needing their iso-elastic arm?

Depends on how you define "long" and how fit you are. It is a pretty good work out with a DVX100B. I don't do anything for more than a minute straight. Even that sometimes is a little pushing it because your finer muscle control gets really out of wack towards the end.

how heavy a camera do you think the Merlin can manage? The camera I use is about 8 lbs and people suggest I use the Pilot but I'm not really interested in paying more than $1k for a steadicam atm...

Hi, the configuration is quite standard.

Center hole on the plate,

3 1/2 turns on the Z ring (counter clockwise from the top)

four full weights and two half weights.

As for arc size and trims, you'll have to experiment on your own.

Because it's never exactly the same.

@luchinpb123 Justo ayer obtuve este stadicam y tengo una DVX 100a. En cuanto encuentre la configuracion te la paso, pero si tu ya la tienes ayuda a un colega y pasame tu configuracion.
