there nice i aint gonna lie but i beat a turbo si but i had one keep up with me also but i had him by a car so i have no complants if i was single i would most def get a si but the se-r is sicc
Yep,the Si is very capable of mid-low 14s with I/H/E, if tuned with Flashpro is capable doing high 13s. The reason many of them cant hit good time is because the car is hard to launch and often gains no traction. Put good tires or slicks the car will surprise you.
@dunkchamp Just because some random guy ran that in better than perfect air and perfectly well prepped track and even other mods or weight reduction that no one knows about doesn't mean thats the norm. I also doubt a bolt on SI is gonna surprise me.
Doesn't take perfect air and perfectly prepped track dude. Last time we went out my buddy ran a 13.9 in hot ass weather. When it was cool outside he ran a 13.7
@w00t692 I've gone to the track plenty and not once have I seen an SI run below 14.9 without being turbo or supercharged, and thats at sea level at 1500-2000DA (70-80* and similar humidity).
Unfortunately one with I/H/E won against a SER Manual.
And in any case the driver of the Altima has a lot more of track experience than the driver of the SI. He previously owned a 13's RSX Type S that he drive himself.
ok first off as i read besides the driver of the one in the video im the only other owner of an altima se-r and second its totaly stock dyno'd at 230whp and 352lbs torque with no mods what so ever and i have a 5 speed auto with sport shift so i think the whole 260 or whatever is kinda streachin it lol and its all good its nothing to get all huffy and puffy about its just cars that win and lose lets add some more videos and well see what we get next time yeah?
Nice ride. I have a Black '06, 6 Spd. From what I've heard the 3.5 on these cars is underrated. I've seen all stock, same year, automatic Altima SE-Rs go against 350Zs, and they pull equal.
If your buddy SER is stock and he take it to the same dyno that my friend make the runs I can guarantee you that will make ~210whp. There is something that must know, it doesn't matter if the runs were made in the same type of dyno they will probably be different. I test my own car in three different dynos of the same type and guess what.
Dude wheel horsepower(whp) isn't the same as flywheel horsepower(hp), WHP is the power measured at the wheels is always less thant the one measured as the flywheel. Some power is lost in the trasmission and the wheels.
Do a search in google there are tons of articles about this.
SE-r stock manual does a low 14, modded should touch 13's

How much does a SER with I/E.
Mid to low 14's in average.
How much does a Civic SI with I/H/E does quarter mile.
Mid to low 14's in average.
The outcome was expected.
In your case you race against a shitty driver on that turbo si. That is a fact.

If you are asking for times. Take a few minutes and read the video description and analyse it.
Hint: When you street race you don't have boards to measure your times.
Marbind 2 years ago
O thanks yea I was wondering y there was no times whenever I would kill some gay ass civic.

si wouldnt touch an SE-R ...unless it has 20 turbos

You're forgetting something very important, but the SER weights a lot more than the SI.

there is about 500 lb difference, thats not that much
