  • 48.1?! That's CRAZY (and I'm thinking with a college and high school mind).

  • LMAO at the commentators assuming Flo-Jo was going to take it. Even after she couldn't close the lead they were riding her dick, lol.

  • @ CHEETAH69 i see your point but i dont feel like she has contested enough at 400m to be considered one of the greatest....yes she ran 48.1 but anyone can show up to an event and run a fast time it dosen't qualify them to be considered one of the greatest they would have to have consistency...besides look at the circumstances and who she had to chase.

  • Flo Jo looks like Jasmine Guy to me. #randomthought

  • Flo Jo did well, considering she was running against a man. If you watch the full race, Valerie Briscoe Hooks' 3 rd leg for the U.S was phenomenal!

  • @Nii1978 Flo jo was the man !

  • i almost thought we were going to see a repeat of this in the 2008 olympics when sanya richards took the baton behind the russian same paste and everything specially since sany did poorly in the open 400m but thats the diffrence between sanya and flo-jo. sanya is one the best 400m runners in the world and flo-jo was just chasing after a 4th Gold medal!

  • @3748359 I think when you have a woman who ran 10.4, 21.3 and a 48.1 relay leg, it's safe to assume that she's probably one of the best 400m runners in the world.

  • I love how u always hate the person who is on top....she the Biggest drug cheat...You prob wasn't alive at that time....and if u had any proof im sure you would be the first to expose her RIGHT...BUT YOU DONT!!!!!!!!!!!!JUST A HATING MUTHAFUCKA WITH NOTHING BETTER TO DO........................GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO FLO JO

  • just luv 2 c americans beaten! flo-jo t biggest drugs cheat of all time!

  • @markguest36 i wouldnt say she was the biggest cheat of all time but she not that far from the top, and the times of today speak for themselves, the only womans event that the record has really been broken in the past 20 years is the womens 400m hurdles.

  • @markguest36 I disagree, especially if you know about the systematic drug doping programme the Easern bloc had their athletes on.

  • Even with her cheating, she couldnt win everything and she paid the ultimate price - early death.

  • I love it how the American commentators thought it was a forgone conclusion that Flo Jo would run Bryzgina down in the back end. 'She can run from behind the whole way.' And so she did.

  • Funny how the commentators dont even mention the fact that this was a world record time, how disrespectful:(This was an amazing run for Olga, as someone has already said, how strong do you have to be mentally knowing Flo Jo is tailing you!!Olga never got the credit she deserved:(

  • not enough steriods for a 400m Flo Jo

  • @pw7780759..........have repect for the dead

  • @pw7780759 You are an ass. If anything, this is proof she was NOT on steroids. What a doofus! Do you think someone would go thru all that time and trouble to "win at any cost"...and NOT take enoug steroids when it really counts????!!! Lol...what an absolute turd hole you are.

  • Respond to this video...More importantly...why are you trolling You Tube and defamating the character and integrity of a person who is no longer with us? It just goes to show that you aren't sh*t.

  • Flo Jo's run was awesome, considering that she was specializes in 100-200m sprint and anchored the 4x400m after at least 10 times runs in 100m, 200, 4x100m, 4x400m and against a 400m specialist / olympic champion / 48.27s pb.

  • Maybe the nay-sayers who INSIST FloJo was using steroids will be silenced? If she was so "doped up" how come she didnt win here??I know she wasnt a 400 specialist, but her, she was so juiced she could have ran to the moon and back, yes??? I never believed she used drugs. She was a phenomenal talent, the likes of which we will never see again.

  • @ralucagymnast I agree with you all the way. However she did win NCAA her junior year in the 400 just fyi

  • @ralucagymnast Because you still have to train for the 400m, which is much different than the 100 or 200m. She juiced. Everyone knows it.

  • @ralucagymnast She didn't win because Bryzgina was equally doped and was a 'proper' 400M runner

Phenominal yes, at taking the most amount of steroids. A UK newspaper ran a story with her before and after photos. She had developed so much physically, labia growth, signs of adams apple, jaw line structure, even facial hair.

Believe what you want but her times on much slower tracks are just too fast. Delorez WAS a drug cheat.

  • @ralucagymnast ^5 and Amen, bro

  • I love this video because it shows that Flo wasn't perfect and she's just like any other track runner. it proves that even the best aren't amazing in everything. I see her and immediatley think of Allison Felix

  • @oFlashoPoetryo I say Flo ran this like a bad Allison Felix 200m which is too slow from the start. She got the stick and didnt even drive into the turn. Rule #1 for sprinters is to at least use your speed early in the first 30m of a 400m. I guess she didnt want to have an ugly face at the finish lol

  • @MicahLeviClark True, Allison Felix is the modern day Flo meaning she can run the 400 but is purely a 200m runner. She def should have used her speed from the handoff and stuck with Bryzgina. Even though Bryzgina is purely a 400m runner Flo could've really tested her speed and guts by seeing what she had coming down to the last 130meters. Its unfortunate. I know what she as trying to do but for a sprinter like her that cannot work. Thats more of a Sanya Richards strategy to sit and hunt.

  • Flo should have used her speed to get the lead early...

  • @MicahLeviClark if she did that she probably would have died in the final 100 metres and Bryzgina would have come back over top of her easily. She doesnt have the endurance of Bryzgina.

  • @russianskatingfan well do you see from the outcome what I said was the other option. Your way didnt work lol! I'm a fan of the sport not being biast like russianskatingfan who I bet never has even ran a 4x4 relay leg hahhaa

  • @MicahLeviClark you make it sound like there is any option she was certain to win. She is a 100/200 specialist running against the best 400 runner in the World taking the baton from behind. There was no strategy she was likely to win by. She ran an amazing leg considering she isnt even a 400 runner as it was.

By the way biast is not a word.

  • @russianskatingfan Probably doesn't matter in your reason.... So lets just end it and say the RUSSIANskatingFAN is right! Send us a pic of you on your skates lol

  • could the commentators be anymore dissapointed at the finish

  • Ugh! Major disappointment...but hey, she wasn't superhuman or anythn...

  • Bryzgina, What are leg, The Mental strenght need knowing you have Flo Jo behind you, Amazing.

  • I miss flo jo and the games from the 80's
