This may sound non Tigerish, but I wonder if its Possible to drop a 4.8 litre Range Rover V8 into a TR8 to replace the whimpy 3 something litre? Maybe even supercharge it. TR8s are still fairly affordable at $12K. A porsche 928 tranny/rear end would make it all work since its all in one package like TR8. But NOTHING beats a Tiger....

I have a 260 in the garage, and a 5.0 HO, but Tr8s are rare and will soon be collector cars big time, as will 928s.

Sunbeam Tigers are so awesome. Best looking classic British sports car for sure.
