  • Excellent recording. Although the cinema was demolished in the 60's the Christie organ was saved but has never been re-built to re-install and is now in a very poor condition. Some of the Christie ranks were transfered to the Compton at the Odeon, Leicester square and these are still in use to this day! It would be nice to think that one day somebody will restore this once legendary organ so it can once again entertain us!

  • Superb recording! I was amazed at the fidelity when my friend sent me a copy. The Regal orchestra was amazing! What excitement it must have been to hear this live back in 1930 then see the technicolor Paul Whiteman revue on the screen! You have a remarkable 78 there! Thanks for sharing!

  • ... please forgive my musical ignorance.. but wasnt that sounnd coming from a tv showing a charlie chaplin movie or something.. haha.. good though

  • From My favourite Movie! Great fidleity for 1930, w/combination of Organ and Dance Orchestra. Super Balance!!

  • I love 'Ragamuffin Romeo'!!.Sound quality is great. It would be great to hear some more Regal Cinema Orch. records uploaded sometime?.

  • Amazing sound quality from a machine of its time! Please, make a video explaining it! I am sure all us vintage audio fans would love it! Thanks for the vid. Did you do anything special to improve the sound quality? It's really surprisingly good, hardly what I would have expected!
