  • The Bible also teaches,"learn not the ways of the heathen" [Jer 10:2]. It was the pagan Romans who mandated monogamy. For True Believers to mandate it is to practice paganism.

  • There are laws in the scripture on how to conduct ones self within a polygamous relationship but polygony is not mandatory practice...I am glad that you said it is a option.. not manditory... as many servats of Yah teach. Shalom Akulti

  • It most certainly IS NOT mandatory; not everyone is made to live in a polygynous household. People who get into this type of lifestyle must be stable, self-secure and self-less, with more of a collective point of view (village vs self). If people are NOT these things, polygyny WILL NOT WORK. Just like all types of relationships, there will be issues. But no one needs the aforementioned criteria to gum things up. Thanks for tuning in!

  • Also I'd like to say that *anyone* teaching that this is mandatory is not teaching Torah!

  • Back in the 1800's some Mormons, including Brigham Young and his apostles taught that living polygamy was mandatory to get into the highest Mormon heaven. That's why many fundamentalist Mormons live it. To ensure their salvation.

  • Thank You! And all this time people think Muslims are only polygamous!

  • You asked the questions if polygamy was against Yah why would he make laws. It's because of the hardness of the hearts as Yahushua stated about divorce in the NT.

You should look for positive relationships in the scriptures between women in polygamous relationships. There aren't any.

  • Like YOU said, Yahshua was talking about DIVORCE. Divorce is the setting aside of a wife. Divorce is NOT polygamy. In polygamy a wife is not set aside. As for positive relationships between wives in scripture, you hear nothing about King David's wives having spats. The spats between the wives in scripture are the same kind of spats that happen between sisters. Re: monogamy, Job's wife told him to curse God and die. Lot's wife turned into a pillar of salt!!

  • Wasn't Hagar put aside because the cause of the polygamy was their solutions to creating the promise of Yah through her? Then Sarah didn't like the results of her own manipulation! She tried to create a solution to a problem she saw by fixing it for Yah by giving Hagar to Abraham. He listened to his wife instead of asking Yah and lost a son he loved as a result.

  • Re: Sarah & Hagar -- That's Sarah's fault. That doesn't have anything to do with polygyny. Also, when we talk about solutions for polygyny we are talking about women in our communities who may never have a husband due to the difference in the ratio of Ivriyt men and women. Every woman should have a covering.

  • As far as Rachel and Leah that was all done by deceit and the friction between the two WAS because of polygamy and the problems that arise as a result of it. It was more than spats between sisters it was spats over who was most loved.

Because King David's wives weren't mentioned doesn't mean it was right.

He killed men to take their wives does Yah allow that?

  • No Yah didn't allow it; he spoke to David on it, through Natanyel, 2 Samuel 12:7-8. He told him he would be punished but he ALSO told him how he gave him all those wives and if that was not sufficient, David should have come to him; he would have given him whatever he asked for.

David was guilty of coveting another person's wife and he was guilty (obviously) of murder.

None of that has to anything to do with all the wives he already had.

  • @Spiritflier07 to say the Yah allowed David to commit murder doesn't have and understanding of the free will He gave to man and the reaping of what is sewn. David's crime of murder and adultery did not go unpunished. and he killed one man to cover the fact that he had impregnated that man's wife. Scripture does not mention other men killed by David to take their wives. God does not condone murder in order to marry another. the punishment was for favoritism not polygyny. the wives became rivals.

  • And besides, nowhere in these situations does the Word say "the discord in this polygyny relationship is because polygyny is wrong". When YHWH didnt like something, He said it. He expressed it. Do you know better than He does?

  • If you want to live that way, go right ahead. However, don't get angry with me, just because I feel sorry for an unloved, Fist, second third fourth or 80th wife.

  • @breezyage scripture protects the unloved wife so no need to feel sorry. just as God protected Hagar and blessed Ishmael with a great nation of his own. not sure if u understand what love is but check 1 Corinthians 13:3-7. this love is for all 1-80 wives.

  • All the scripture you are mentioning are irrelevant towards defending your argument because they were written before God made His new covenant with the Israelites. It would be hard to have a marriage between three or more people because naturally, one person would grow more loving towards on person over the other, while the other(s) would feel neglected. This would therefore undermine the human dignity in all of us reducing the human person to the level of a possession/thing.

  • "Written before God made His new covenant with the Israelites"?? How are they irrelevant? Did you watch the entire video before you posted this remark? What about Matthew 25; why would the Messiah use polygyny as a model on how we come to YHWH, if it were a sin? Fact is, anything the Messiah had a problem with, he said so. He nor His Father ever express a problem with polygyny. Also I don't know why you believe the new covenant erases the last. What about Matthew 5:17-19?

  • Also, it may be hard for YOU to have a marriage where a husband has multiple wives but that's you. That's not everyone. What you're saying is all relative; it's opinion, not fact. Here is a fact: 2/3rds of the world allows polygyny. So American societal culture is the minority, not the other way around.

  • @DreamGyrl360 Whatever you want to do go ahead and do. I've expressed my sorrow for a second. third, fourth or eightieth wife. If you like being in that state then go ahead. I didn't assume anything. You don't know my experiences.

  • @breezyage i presume for you that monogamy is the proper and only acceptable form of marriage. when studies have shown that women by far out number men and if every man married one woman, millions of women would be without a husband. God made provisions for this to not be so. the husband is commanded to love and provide for his wife(ves) (Exodus 21:10-11). to hold on a fleeting physical attraction and call it love is misinformed. love is always active and endures all. for one and for all.

  • @odthiambo love and physical attachment are not the same. we often make the two synonymous without any logical foundation. we are told what love is by Paul (1corinthians 13:3-7). and the law of God does not change from one covenant to the next (Matthew 5:17-20). as far as human dignity, God does not condone mistreating anyone, why else would he command us to love our neighbor as ourselves. one example is Galatians 5:14. We should live to glorify God, not each other.

  • I feel bad for the unloved wives. they are stuck in a painful life. For a woman to be nothing more than a posession, is very sad.

  • Women are nothing more than a possession in the societies that YOU have heard about. Mormons, and in certain factions of Islam. Therefore -- if you have not heard about righteous polygyny, then you shouldn't make assumptions that all polygynous relationships are like that. You have monogamous relationships where women are nothing more than possessions as well. Perhaps we should toss out monogamy as a marital option too?? Perhaps NO ONE should get married!

  • @DreamGyrl360 You seem to assum my views, when I've simply felt bad for an unloved wife. I felt bad for Leah and others like her. The Many Wives of David and Soloman. The many concubines that the biblical forfathers had. I didn't say All polygamist relationships were like anything. I remember when the Most High gave the commandment for this situation. If a man has two wives and on is " hated". please show me a righteous poly- relationship in the bible?

  • @breezyage first off, Leah was not Jacobs choice to be his wife. second, scripture does not say she was mistreated. She was loved less not loved at all. She was still provided food, shelter, and covering by Jacob. the men involved in the "poly-relationship" were deemed to righteous and obedient by Yah himself and were blessed with wives and many children to uphold and pass on the word of God.

  • HalleluYAH praise YAH for your maturity, only if the rest of the daughters of Zion could look past themselves and seek the will of the father. Like you said, it is not for everybody but i think it is something that will be a major mart of rebuilding the black community

  • yes the hypocrites allow and encourage sodomites and soon they wil allow incest but they hate and criminalize polygyny the lifestyle of the prophets.

also they legalize fornication and allow as many fornication girlfriends for a man legally but if he changed one of them to a wife he is put in jail,

  • Just shows you how backward and against Yah the system we're in is. This world belongs to the adversary, scripture says. We must pray for Yah's protection in these last days!!!

    Thanks for watching and commenting!

  • Well said.

  • The biblical verses that were do not strengthen your argument. Jesus clearly says that a man will leave his home and be joined to his wife and they would be one flesh; a third party would go against that statement. It would be hard have a marriage between three people. Naturally, one would grow closer to one person, leaving the other neglected. Polygamy undermines the human dignity, placing human beings at the level of possessions instead of people.

  • In this country Yahuwah laws are Sins but the uphold Man made laws that contradict Torah is righteous according to Westerners. Yeshayahu 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

  • Like someone said the other day, Yah never said anything about mongamy or polygyny, he called it ALL marriage! So it should ALL be an equal option!

  • HOLY MOLY you have a great point! Lol I never thought of it that way, HOW COME they legalize homosexual marriage but when it comes to Yahweh's Laws they make that ILLEGAL, totally backwards dude, lol great job, Yahweh bless :-)

  • It's like saying sin is okay, but it's not okay to do righteousness (not saying polygamy is for everyone) but what a backwards crazy world this is....mahn!

  • Well sis, you have to remember whose world this is we're living in. Scripture says it, loud and clear -- this is the adversary's world! So yes it is ABSOLUTELY going to be backward and completely against Yahweh. It makes us think that Yahweh's ways are wrong and backwards when it's really the world's ways that are wrong. Praise Yah and Yahweh bless those that have the eyes to see the truth when it is revealed to them!

  • who is tommax... from 214 eo 718

  • Who knows? Someone who is trying to explain something but did not bring their point forward full-force. Altho I know what he's trying to say I can shoot his point down all day.

  • In this country its better to have ten baby mama's you fornicate with. But its against the law to have two or three wives.

    Does that sound logical

    Whoring=forgiven

    Polygny=not tolerated

Isaiah 5:20 Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!

  • The Western system allows men to have no responsibility, no accountability for their actions. They slept with a woman -- so what? They got her pregnant? Who cares? He's MARRIED on the books to someone else, he doesn't have to care for the other woman. He can leave her and never come back. He never has to see her or the children again. Yah's word does not allow for such whoremongering, and I thank Yah for protecting women and children. Righteous men should take note! Shalom; thanks for replying!

  • Well having kids can result in a finacial punishment. Child Support! Thats why the Governments favored Single motherhood more so then women with husbands are their baby's Father in the home. For instance free health care and food stamps mostly go to single women with Children. But a woman who has husband who felony record and can not get a job because of his record got nothing coming. If you even have a man living in your household many of your benefits will stop. The system is about oppression.

  • Polygny is not a Sin. We living under European rule have been brain washed to believe Polygny is a sin. We have been brainwashed to believe that Homosexuality should be tolerated and cheating husbands and prostitues in nevada is okay since the Law of land permits it.

Notice Arranged Marriages and Polygny are hated by most but Whoring is okay as long as both people are old enough to consent.

Polygny is Sin and being a playa is okay because we not perfect.

    Shalowm emet Yisrael

  • The reason most Christians feel the way they do about polygyny is not because of something they have read coming from Jesus, but from Paul. Other than myself, you are the first person I've ever heard quote from 2 Sam. 12:8. I was thinking about doing a video about this myself, but now that I have come across yours, I don't feel that it is necessary.

  • Shaul said its better not to marry at all. I don't hear them speaking on Celibacy as Shaul did!

  • If you look at the first part of the book of Hebrews you will read that God revealed Himself to various men in various ways. In other words, there is such a thing as dispensations. For example, Christians now live in the age of grace. The book of Revelation tells us that there will be a time coming where people will not have to tell each other about the Lord, it will be written on their heart.

  • What is your point?

  • well put.

  • Your backyard sucks....lol j/k

  • T if you don't find something else to do!!! *pushes* Get out lol.
