  • I had a 900 back in 96 when I was in the service living in Italy. I had a lot of fun on the bike and was going to bring it back to the states, but mine had white wheels which I absolutely HATED trying to keep clean and the constant valve adjustments and maintenance just didn't make it seem worth it at the time. I would have been better off bringing it back even if it was just to sell it. Yours is definately nicer looking than mine was and in better shape. Makes me wish I had her back. :(

  • A CLASSIC fricking clean and str8...congrats.

  • they are very nice bikes and have a lot of character and feel amazing..

  • At this time Ducati made real bikes.

  • have to agree! watch it over and over again and it does the trick! :-)

  • That is pure porn!

  • yes, nice bikes.. i prefer the look of the early to mid 90's bikes though..

  • are the 99 900's any good?

  • ahh..... love the sound of them 2 valve dukes.... sounds nicer than the later 4v.. must be to do with exhaust valve duration or something.. sweet!

  • O.M.G.

  • Tool with Aenema in the backrground AND Ducati 900 SS sound????? best combination seen on youtube!

  • Listening to Tool eh ? Well you seem like a person with excelent taste :P , bravo on the bike , its fucking heavenly

  • cheers man...

  • @DucRacerX

thanks for the comment.. you should see the bike now.. it's even nicer... i'll let ya know if i decide to sell her...

  • stunning bike stunning sound 2 valve air cooled simplicity and performance,,, and the sexiest sound ever to come from anything man made :) check out my bike :)

  • music!

  • Better twist the throttle without holding clutch stick because of bike's dry clutch ;)

  • Thats one great looking bike. Take good care of her.

  • ænema!

  • love that tune!

  • For how long does your fuel pump prime? mine goes on forewer.....

  • Nice sound with those Termi's...

I have the 1999 version with original pipes, but its sound doesn't come anyway near...

Luckilly i decided today that i'll exchange my 900SS for a 996S (2002 model) with Termi exhousts.

If you like the sound of the 900SS, you shouled hear the roar of the 996!

  • hey thanks,, just got back from moto gp today.. went for a great ride on my 900SS (six hours of riding the twisties up and back).. this bike runs strong and the torque is really nice.. i have thought about buying a 996 or 998.. those are my favorite ducati's to date.. would love to see your bike!!

  • cheers! i really enjoy it... what do you ride?

  • so sweet !! COLLECTOR !!!

  • Hello Joe.

Long time we hear us :-)

    How are you?

Have you find your RC Car the Big Bear :-)

Are you still have your Ducati?

I have bought 2 new Tires.

My engine starts verry bad.Because she stands 5 month and the Plugs was black.I cleaned it and now its ok.

Best regards from your Friend in Germanny Franco.

  • I have the identical bike, and I want them tires! hehe Can you please tell me what brand they are please? ~ David

  • those tires are Pirelli Dragon Supercorsa's they stick very nicely but don't have the greatest longevity. nice tire though! i also used a yellow tyre art pen to paint the pirelli on the sidewall.

  • Dude, that sounds absolutely sick! Like throwing some washers in a blender... I just bought a 1995 one, and it looks and sounds identical. You and I have extremely similar taste in bikes and music. I have to comment that both Tool and this particular Duke make me grin ear to ear. Good combo! Can you share any wisdom and advice on the supersport for a new owner?

  • hey my man,, congrats on your new purchase! they are fun bikes! as far as wisdom,, hmmm.. not too sure what your goals are but if you are looking for performance.. i would get a set of 41mm keihin carbs, a 39 tooth rear sprocket and a little lighter flywheel.. those three items will transform your bike into something that make you smile from ear to ear!!

  • you won't want to ride a factory 900SS after those three modifications.. tires are always important too ans setting your suspension up properly to your weight.. keep an eye on belts.. if you don't have records for the bike spend the $70.00 for new belts and put them on.. $70.00 is far cheeper than spending $1000.00 or more for new heads, valves, and labor for the rebuild.. good luck with your new ride! i'd love to see photos!!

  • yea wud be good to ride out man,but im in England mate , , , , however if your ever over here the TT or anythin look me up mate :)

  • would love to go to england! one of my must go places! i will for sure look you up when i go someday! cheers..

  • very sexy bike, i have a supersport thou ds but i love the look of the old 900 gorgeous ;)

  • where ya from?? let's ride!!! nice bike you have though!

  • I think that the 900ss is the best looking Duck ever built. Sounds great!

  • i think it's a really neat looking bike too.. classic and classy at the same time.. the white frame and red body with white, black and silver ducati letters look really sexy!

  • @thequintsband so...you ever have sex with one?

  • thanks my man... i love the air cooled 900's..

  • hey you have the same bike as me :) very nice bike realy

  • thanx man.. i really enjoy it... i'd like to see yours! i want an 1198... maybe after the new year! :-)

  • i would call california cycleworks.. just google them.. they are experts on these 900SS bikes.. i can't see finding a fuel being all that hard.. try salvage yards, ebay and craigslist as well.. i've gotten a lot of parts from california cycleworks and they are very helpful.. talk to chris there.. i don't think it's going to be hard to replace either...

  • are they ok to drive allot cause i heard that the older models need lots of meantanance. or did i hear wrong?

  • there are all kinds of rumors about ducati's that are not all true. i have had this bike for 2 years and put 10,000 miles on it.. the only problems i have had are the oil pressure sensor and throw-out bearing both of witch were very easy to repair. the bike has been a great bike to me and a real blast to ride and appreciate! the bike, is very pretty, has lot's of torque, handles great, sounds great, easy to work on, gets lots of attention and is very unique!

  • thanks for the info, i realy love ducati's. i'm hopeing to buy a ducati next year if i can get the money together.

  • you wouldnt happen to know if the fuel pump is easy/cheap to fix would you? i think its the same part from 90-98 final edition. i have a1997. im having a hard time finding the part number. any idea?

  • She's a Beauty!

  • Hello Joe.

    I love Your Bike.

I hope you enyou your tour in the next days.

Have much fun with Your Bike.

Your Ducati friend from Germany ..Franco.

  • i recon the air cooled dukes are the coolest bikes around man,,iv got the ss 1000 ds totally awsome

  • yea, that's a sweet bike man! yours is fuel injected though right? the air cooled ducati's sound so awesome!! i'll have to post a newer updated video one of these days!

  • Fucking gorgeous dude! I am thinking of getting one of these next, or the CR version. Both are bad ass. Beautiful bike bro.

  • hey thanks man! i really enjoy this bike.. i have a few bikes and this is my favorite.. if you do decide to get one try and get the full fairing bike with the adjustable suspension.. also the 91-92 years are nice with the white frames..

  • Moto bellissima!

  • hey thanks! just put in 41mm flat sides! runs great!

  • good song in the background btw. and the bike sounds amazing. my dad used to have a 900CR. could hear it from a mile away.

  • thanks man.. they are great bikes... i have to get some footage of it in motion! i got high comp pistons and FRC carbs for it so it's gonna pull nicely!

  • a riding vid would be great! and yes it's gonna be even more of a torque monster with those upgrades. my dad had the same things on his CR

  • Lets have some footage of it on the road...

  • sure! i am on vacation in pennsylvania for the next week or so.. when i return to arizona i will get some power wheelie footage! the keihin carbs should be in soon too! :-o

  • Be careful of doing a power wheelie...you could end up with a cracked frame as the early 90s Ducs`s were prone to this fault. It would be a crying shame to break that lovely bike....

  • very true! that was a prob on those bikes! just gotta roll on smoothe and bring it down nice and smoothe! i don't thrash on this bike but if she wants her front wheel to feel the free air i can't say no to her! sometimes she has a mind of her own! :-) cheers!

  • Hah. Don't deny the lady a wheelie!

  • the front wheel does tend to look to the sky sometimes! :-)

  • Aemena in the background...bike sounds awesome...i just got myself a 2001 748

  • Thanks man, i like the sound of the arrows cans! 2001 748? i like that bike, nice body style! what color? good luck with it!!

  • Hey man... thanks for the post. I've had this bike for almost a year and I just got it repainted. the paint came out really nice! It's a fun bike.. I'm looking for a set of 41mm FCR's for it.. Just some basic bolt on parts, fly wheel, carbs, clutch slave cylinder and maybe high somp pistons. I'd like to buy a 998s in Feb or March but the 900SS is good bike!!!

  • Well.now...if you add all af them parts it will really be a gas on the twisty roads...The 998...oh man ..thats something else...bring a spare pair of underpants and hold on tight..haha

  • Yea man! looking forward to the FCR's and such! As for the 998 I will for sure bring a few pairs of undies along just incase! hehe..

  • Hey man..thats a great looking SS that you have there. How long have you owned it? Nice pipes too...

  • Adjustable suspension would be great! Hows this bike fair in the twisties? I imagine its pretty agile because of how light it is.

  • it takes a little more rider effort to bring the bike down on it's side as opposed to some of the newer bikes but aside from that the bike STICKS very well and it loves twisty mountain roads!!!

  • it's about 30 pounds heavier than the newer sports bikes but handles really well and the brakes i have on this bike are mind blowing (not shown in this video)! the old air cooled engines run strong with lot's of midrange and torque, and has a great linear power band (just a little short though) . you should pick one up!! the fun factor is there and they are just so sexy! i get compliments every time i ride it! the bike is a confidence builder!
