  • U gotta prerry crap camera there might

  • @DisneyWatcherXD Have you taken into consideration that this video is several years old and that cameras have changed since then? Besides... what's your point? I have an old guitar. Does that mean it can't make awesome music?

I'll go out on a limb and say that I can do more with my cheap, little, old cameras than most people can do with the best equipment available.

It's not what you have... but how you use it!

BTW - If you had a good computer, it'd have spell checking! (prerry)

    L8R Mate!

  • @Denb7 old dude calm down

  • @DisneyWatcherXD "old dude" ... BAZINGA! You got me!

  • you are Awesome. Thank you for the tutorial, just what I was looking for. You are GOODat this!

  • Mr. you have a mess back there

  • @lolman123852 Thank you Captain Obvious!

  • Don't need this really, I will upload what I fancy

  • @stroppymonkey1999 Thanks for the link to your channel so everyone can give your videos the ratings they deserve... wink, wink!

  • the assholes that dont like hem must be very very big homos and gays i like hem

  • @EliteTutorials26 I try.

  • I need help...I made my video on windows movie maker..and when I upload it to youtube..the whole video wont upload..just couple minutes of it...PLEASE HELP

  • skip to 5:00 to see the youtube part

  • Thanks Pop

  • the sad thing is people actually need this.

  • lol thats Eric Clapton singing Layla, beginning tune.

  • @Saladon89 No, thats only Eric Clapton playing the intro bars of Layla... there's no singing.

  • @Denb7 you know what i mean lol

  • lol im gunna make a movie of myself making a movie!!!

  • He is so cool :D

  • I have a problem with ineractive videos when a square that opens a new video appers.

When I click it closes the first video and opens the new one.

The problem is that I want (and I have my reasons) to make videos in which when these squares are clicked they open the new video in a new window and without closing the first one.

  • @JohnKeotes I don't believe that this is a YouTube issue. It sounds like a browser control issue. You might check your browser options and change the option to open links in a new browser window.

    That's my best guess!

  • @Denb7 I think I get your point.

So you are saying that to make these videos open in new windows I have to check on the browser options and not youtube but any computer I try it has always thee same resut.

I want to ask you do these videos open on different windows oin your computer, do you know how?

What is a litle bit weird about it is that in any other site exept youtube new pages and videos always open on new windows.

  • @JohnKeotes I use the Google Chrome browser and personally, I almost always right click on links and have them open in a new tab rather than browser window. My browser is set to open a link in the same window otherwise.

  • @d0p3boii I guess you figured it out on your own...

  • Ha! funny guy :D

  • What camera do you prefer using, the still camera one, or the actual video camera one?

  • The camcorder is definitely preferred for video. The record time is longer and the options are better (optics, widescreen, etc.) plus the sound is superior (stereo). However the video quality on the still camera is just as good in the 4:3 mode (640x480) and it comes in handy in a pinch. I'm considering jumping to a flash drive camcorder someday because the download time on the DV camcorder is in real time, which is a killer when I shoot 3½ hours of video.

  • thnx for the vid. Very informative!

  • Great job! Thank you!

  • when you select copy pictures to desktop.

    and my doesn't work.

  • my said that the wizard can not install.

    can you reply fast please..

  • Can not install what? I need more details before I can respond. Send me a message from my channel and include more details.

  • i have a problem : My digital camera can make videos but there wont be any sound when i make it . PS : i have windows xp but i cant find windows movie maker

  • the movie maker is in

    Click on START

    then All programs

    then you will see

    Window Movie Maker.

  • Click START> Run> type: "moviemk" (without the quotes) then click OK... Movie Maker will start if you have it installed. Not all digital still cameras record video with sound, especially an older model camera.

  • have been having trouble with Windows Movie Maker. Every time I use a song for a video, no matter what the song is, if I go elsewhere in the song, it'll start at another time. The only way the song will be in sync and at the right time is if I start from the very beginning. Otherwise it'll be messed up. This way the only way to sync videos properly with the music is to go back to the beginning again and again and wait for it to reach the point I need it to be.

Is there any way to fix this?

  • ok but wat about if u dont want to make a VIDEO video and just upload pics and get words on them?

  • It works just the same with still pictures. Import pictures and add words just as you would with videos. The timing on pictures can be changed by dragging the right edge of a frame in the timeline.

  • i've got it too...but the videos i want to upad are in MPEG-4?! (maybe its the reasn why i cant uplooad them...?) pls help me!

  • well i have got windows movie maker but i doesnt let me edit the movies i want 2....

  • Movies need to be in one of the following formats to be used with Movie Maker.

    ===

Video files: .asf, .avi, .m1v, .mp2, .mp2v, .mpe, .mpeg, .mpg, .mpv2, .wm, and .wmv

  • Nice job den, you speak well. Very well made video

  • Thanks... It's only been a year and so much has changed regarding video cameras (flash or hard drive vs DV tape) and uploading that my tutorials are quickly becoming outdated. I'm gonna need to update them someday.

    ... but not yet!

  • i have pinnacle studio 12 .. how do you import music into it i cannnnt find it out im trying to import it into mp3 rocket?

  • My answer was too long to post here, so I have replied via PM.

  • ok..i have the cord..its plugged in..and i have a still camera..but i have a laptop so i dont have the monitor thing so i dont have a slot to put my memory card..what do i do?

  • My reply might be too long to put in a comment reply... I'll PM you.

  • does that little cam have audio to it, do all still cams have audio?

  • Yes, the still camera records sound. My Canon still camera takes the same quality (4:3) video as my camcorder (just not in stereo). Not all still cameras record video and audio, but I imagine that most newer cameras do. Check before you buy.

  • thanks :)

  • I use a program called hypercam 2 to record my videos

And I dont no how to add music, and your talking about using a camera so im still in the postion where i dont no what to do....

  • I use CamStudio which, like HyperCam, it records whatever is on the screen. After you record a screen session, save the clip as a file. Then use Windows Movie Maker to edit your video clips and add music tracks. See my Part 2 video for info on Movie Maker. You can contact me again by sending a message from my channel.

  • i use camstudio 2

  • If you have window movie maker, you have to publish your movie b4 uploading it to youtube, i use my phone its quite good quality,

  • can you use ur phone? for vids??

  • Do movies made with a still camera set to video mode look choppier on You Tube or in some way of lesser quality than if you use a real motion video cam ? Or does YouTube "level the playing field" due to compression ? BTW, thanks much for the Firewire tip, I didn't know that.

  • A lot depends on the camera and more importantly the memory card. The card needs to have a fast write speed. I replaced my Fuji FinePix camera with an XD card and replaced it with a Canon SD750 because the Fuji Made low quality video with choppy audio. The Canon's video is as good as my Canon miniDV camcorder except the audio is not in stereo.

Note: My Fuji was an okay camera, but measured in computer years, it's very old. Many technology improvements have been made in the past few years.

  • every time i connect my video camera, via USB, my computer cant recognize my device. i need help.

  • Are you talking about a video camcorder with a firewire connection? My camcorder has USB and firewire. The USB only transfers still pictures, the firewire connection had to be purchased separately and it's used to transfer video.

Try opening Windows Movie Maker in the capture mode, connect the camera, power it up and see if WMM finds it.

  • yurr awesome , man! 60 is the new 25!

  • Hey! Let's not rush things here...

How about 54 is the new 40!

    That I could handle.

  • hey thanks for the video man.

making a youtube video is something i always wanted to do.

  • great choice of song

  • Umm well i used my cam and then put it on picasa3 then pressed on upload video to youtube but it said that there was a problem sith vid..any help?

  • i have a microsoft hp computer. i dont belive i have the movie making software.

  • microsoft dont make computers..

  • thank you so much for this advice! I helped alot! i just have one question. where can i buy a usb cord for my video camera? Best Buy maybe?

  • hey denb i have a fujifilm xd xl-picture card m2 gb and a lop top Compaq can u tell me were to put the card MINES TO SMALL

  • You could connect the camera to the computer with the USB cable and download using the Microsoft Scanner and Camera Wizard or the camera's software. Or you could get a USB card reader with an XD slot. Those XD cards aren't all that popular.

  • are you using pinnacle

  • Yes. For this video I used Pinnacle Studio Plus v 11.

I also use Windows Movie Maker for simpler projects. I've added several downloaded enhancements to Movie Maker to make it a bit cooler!

  • Excuse me ,

But I actually wanted to know how to make a lyric movie can you please help me?

  • Lyric movies are just regular movies with lots of titles either as overlays or full page. If you use Windows Movie Maker, add music on to the audio track. Then add a series of title screens containing the lyrics. Timing can be adjusted for each panel by dragging the right edge.

  • DVD tape?

  • high do u noi how to make ur self appear in the same clip twice

many people act many characters out in you tube however they only use themselve and no one else in the video

like the scene and everything is completely same

but u can also play a diff character

i dont know if u understand this but i hope u have a clue

yeah and also id like to know how you do it in a program like windows movie maker or umm

    cyberlink basic

    or sumthin lyk

    muvee

  • Hopefully, your question was answered by my split screen video. Remember, it is NOT an actual split screen, it's only a transition. You'll need to use some clever camera work and planning to make it work.

Also - you can record 2 characters from different angles and splice the 2 together in editing to give the impression that they were filmed together.

  • people who cant make a video don't deserve to have a computer at all.

  • Computers are used for much more than just making videos. Would you prefer that the engineers who design airplanes, bridges, elevators, etc... do so with pencil and paper?

Besides, everyone has to start somewhere!

You should be nice to people... not mean!

  • im not mean to them, sorry if i aplied so.

    Btw (bad english)

But everybody should be able to do this by now,

I mean, my first time making a videos was easy, and i alreddy knew what i needed. i'v Been posting over 350 videos so far, and more to come.

But yeh, you did a good thing, people under me seems happy for this.

  • This video you commented on has to do with making a video with a camera. You have 18 pages of vids, but I didn't see anything made from scratch, only walkthroughs and stuff from TV. You record scenes and upload okay, but that's not the whole process. Keep that in mind!

  • I had previous accounts where i uploaded camera fotage, so don't go that way that i never ever did go through a "how to upload videos frome a camera" .

  • Apparently, not everyone is as intuitive as you are when it comes to video, but that doesn't mean that they aren't worthy.

Remember this: Someday, there will be something that you will need have to explained to you. When that day comes, I hope that you don't have to deal with ridicule from those who already happen to posess that knowledge.

You're lucky that you 'instinctively knew how' to make videos, but you're out of line by mocking those who don't.

  • Well then my bad.

  • You do not need fire wire to make a movie that is not true.

I use my usb port and every thing works just fine

  • That's good for you and the technology keeps changing all the time, but many people who have camcorders do indeed need a firewire connection. And many camcorders do not come with the firewire cable. For video from a still camera, USB works fine.

  • Thanks, Denny, very helpful. We want to start posting videos for our sales team out in the field. BTW, I drive a red Smart every day, love your computer screen.

  • i dont know how to process my videos to get dem on here please help me i really want to make videos on YouTube

  • i still dont know how to do this on my camera if somebody knows how to help me please email me on here or leave it for a comment on my page please i am alittle confused wit the video because i am not like a computer genius please help me

  • Hey DenB is it possible to adjust the video to full screen with Pinnacle Studio Plus? (Ie, Remove the black border?)

  • what about through a dv camera?

    like through tapes..

  • If it's digital, the steps are the same. The camcorder that I used uses miniDV tapes. Remember that you need the firewire cable mentioned in the video to transfer video (not just USB)! Wire sold seperately.

If you use a regular analog camcorder (VHS) then you'll need an analog to digital converter. My camera (Canon Elura 100) has it built in. If you need an A to D converter, Pinnacle makes 'Dazzle' available at Best Buy.

  • thanks a lot saved me a whole bunch of time

  • 1001 thanks Denny - you've saved me a ton of time...

  • Thousand Thanks Denb7

  • Thanks alot denny you answered my yahoo answer and here i am.Thanks alot

  • where do u find the firewire simble? 2:08 PLEASE WRITE BAK QUICK!!!!!!!!!!!

  • go to Yahoo or Google and do an IMAGE search and type in FIREWIRE in the box.

  • Nice one Denb7, glad to learn you can use a still camera in windows movie maker, never knew that. Keep on rollin'...Mike [UK]

  • wats the song at the start??and thanx 4 the vid it was a big help:)

  • "Layla" by Eric Clapton

  • I need help, I have windows vista and im on windows movie maker. I have my video that i am working on all done and saved it to my computer but it stated that i need to have it as a WMV file or something and i have no clue what to do about that, could you help?

  • I don't have Vista, but when you finish the project, you need to PUBLISH it. I believe that you can click File then Publish and follow the prompts. The end result will be a WMV file that you can upload.

  • your scary._.

  • My what?

Unless you meant to write 'you're scary' but mistakenly used the posessive 'your' in place of the more correct "you're" as a contraction for the words 'you' and 'are'.... thereby making the statement equate 'you are scary.' In which case I'll reply... "Thanks! I try my best."

I hope 'you're' going to have fun this winter on 'your' snowboard. I feel safer on skis.

  • can I upload a movie on youtube from the dvds that I have? How do I make music videos of playsatation games? Kindly please tell

  • Commercially produced DVDs are protected by copyright laws, so making copies on YouTube is totally illegal. I won't help you break the law. Besides, many have copy protection encryption on the disks, so you can't copy them.

As far as Playstation games go... I have no idea. I don't use those things. Try a gamer forum, they may have some ideas.

  • So for example, If I wanted to upload a movie on youtube? Id have to use a camera and copy it from a TV or DVD recorder.

  • Using a camera will look like crap. Unless your camera has an analog-to-digital converter so you can input an analog signal from a DVD/VRC, convert to digital and record on the computer.

My Canon Elua 100 has this feature. Or you can get a 'Dazzle' (made by Pinnacle) converter at Best Buy that will do the same for about $60-80.

  • please i have windows movie maker and i made a video on it.juste with pictures and a song how can i put it in youtube?

  • i have the exact same computer!

  • How do you put picture over your video. I am unable to do that.

  • As I stated in my video, I use Pinnacle Studio Plus to create videos. Studio Plus has more features than Movie Maker and it allows picture-in-picture using 2 video tracks at once. Unfortunately, Movie Maker only has one video track, so you can't do picture-in-picture.

Movie Maker is a great starting point for learning to create professional looking videos. You are at the point where I was when I decided to upgrade to Pinnacle. I wanted more functionality.

  • I see. Where is Pinnacle Studio Plus available? Perhaps Best Buy or Circle City? And how much does the program exactly cost? I'd like to use it.

  • Hello sir, can you tell me how can you convert real live DVDs into youtube?

  • how would you delete a piece of music that swears and i wanna censor it myself

  • Give me more to go on. Is it a video or a music file? If it's a music file, use Audacity (free download) and delete the offending section. If it's a video, use Movie Maker and separate the portion of the clip (shown in Pt. 2 of my video) then you can MUTE the section. Use the narration feature to replace a word or 'bleep' the silent section. You could also cut the section out altogether so there wouldn't be a dead spot.

  • its a music file,i tried to download Audacity, but the site wont show up on my laptop or pc,i really want to cut/take away that certain piece of audio

  • Thank you for taking the time out to create a tutorial! I have a movie on dvd that I want to clip moving scenes from to create a fanvid. Is it possible to clip the scenes while playing it on Media Player? How do I do that? MP doesn't seem to have any instructions for this and I've searched - which might mean it can't be done.

  • I believe that copyright protection laws prevent Media Player from ripping scenes from commercial videos. I've never done it myself, but I believe that there are programs out there that allow you to copy DVDs.

Sorry I didn't answer sooner and that I couldn't be more helpful.

  • do you have to use a camera or can you also make a video and save it on your computer?

  • You don't need a camera, but you need to make a video out of something! At least one image will do, but more is better. Many digital still camera's have a video feature. You could also use screen caps, drawings or something recorded off a TV with a VCR, but no matter what you use... it'll have to be digital at some point so you can process it into a movie.

  • hi sir.. pls help me... i dont know how to upload videos on youtube from my windows movie maker.. i really don't know that's why i don't have one yet.. how can i do that i really want to add my own videos .. do i need 2 download other stuffs?? pls answer.. thankSs..thAnks....

  • Videos aren't actually uploaded from Movie Maker, MM is only used to create the video. In MM click FILE then SAVE MOVIE FILE and save your video (follow the instructions) as a movie (it should go in your My Videos folder). From there, login to YouTube and click UPLOAD and BROWSE to the video in the folder. Follow the YouTube steps.

You only need Movie Maker and YouTube... nothing else.

    Good Luck!

  • I was wondering if this would also work with a kodak easy share c875 digital camera? Because my mom has one and I made a video with it but never could download it. Just wondering if this would work with my camera though.

  • How do you convert it to Gif

  • How do you convert what to GIF? Please explain.

  • a mpeg sorry just ive been searching for ages

  • cause i searched how to make a youtube video to mpeg so i got that do you know how to change an mpeg to a gif

  • i forgot to mention the avi file is too slow

  • i try uploading a avi file to youtube from windows movie maker how do i convert it to

    wmv file gr8 vid

  • When your video is ready to go in Movie Maker, you need to click FILE, then the 'Save as movie' option, then follow the steps for saving in the 'best playback on a computer' setting. This will save the video in your 'My Videos' folder (usually) and in the converted WMV format.

I don't know what to tell you about the AVI being too slow other than you can double the speed with video effects in WMM.

  • superb mindblowing fantastic, thanks champ............

  • I hope you found it helpful and wish you success.

  • Hey grandpa, i see you alot on yahoo answers.. you gave me a link to a site for converting videos online.. thanks man.. i didnt know you have a youtube as well!

  • Yeah, I enjoy dishing out answers whenever I can, but some of those questions drive me nuts. Why are people so helpless? I can't think of a video to make... I can't think of an account name... Whaaaa!

I must be getting old... I'm starting to give out super sarcastic answers to see if anyone catches on. Keep your eye on questions like: "Is this video funny?" Watch for my response.

  • Hahaha! you're hilarious man!

I saw your answer on that gurl who was complaining about this guy on youtube who is against the idea of sub 4 sub..

And she actually wasted 5 points to ask a question like that!

what is this world coming to.

Hey imma add you as a contact on Answers and on here!

  • can i mix videos and when i go to windows movie maker when i save video to my comp. it says like 700 mins and keeps going up

  • My best guess. Sounds like it could be a codec or a format issue. Make sure that your codecs are up to date. Go to the Tools menu and choose Options. On the General tab, check 'download codecs automatically'.

If that isn't it... try converting the video into a different format that Movie Maker accepts.

    Good Luck!

  • Your Yahoo anser helped me alot! Tnx.

  • can you use a logitech web cam? and what do you need to use a powerbook g4

  • Yes you can use a web cam, but your range is going to be limited to the length of the cord. Sorry I can't help you with the powerbook g4, I'm stuck in the world of Microsoft Windows.

  • thanks for ur yahoo answer (kelli)

this video really breaks down everything!

  • I have a question. What if you don't have the firewire connection? Is it a hardware you have to buy or is it downloadable?

  • If you don't have a firewire connection, you'll have to buy some hardware. You should be able to get a firewire card and install it (assuming that your computer supports such a thing. While you're in there, you might want to increase your RAM memory if you can too. Editing video is quite taxing on a system.

  • sorry if you answered this already but, so do i need to buy a dv cable for my camcord because when i plug it into the usb port it cant identify it....

  • why is everyone being so horrible?

    fucking knob ends!

  • I can understand it pretty clearly so shiftyzack, I think you should clam down....i mean .....it's NOT THAT SERIOUS

  • Thanks... I guess some people just need to attract attention to themselves in whatever way they can. Apparently, shiftyzack can't do it any other way but by what he's done here. Poor thing!

I left ol'shity (oops! I mean ol'shifty) up there because I think it let's others see what he's made of.

I'm sure he's got a lot of friends... somewhere.

  • Thanks
