@FilmsByGingersnap The noise is definitely there. Watch in 1080. YouTube's compression sort of neutralizes the noise a bit, but it's still quite apparent.
please let me know what you think of the feel of the lens? looking to get this as I have a canon 50mm f1.8 and its too cropped for me plus the feel and build quality feels like toy that will break at the first knock it gets =/
I love this lens. I'm still pretty confused with the whole crop factor/conversion deal. I always figured using this 20mm lens, it would become more like a 32mm after the 1.6x crop factor, but then I've also been told that since this lens is made for the Canon EF mount, it actually IS a 20mm. I don't know. Either way, love the lens. I paid a couple hundred dollars less on eBay. I've been happy with it.
@BrandonFlyte that doesn't make sense... if its an ef-s lens, and it says its 20mm, then it is 20mm on a 1.6x crop factor body. An EF lens that is 20mm is 20mm on a full frame body..
@BrandonFlyte EF or EF-S, it doesnt matter. The lens focal length is what it says it is. The camera body changes the crop/zoom factor. A 1.6x crop sensor camera makes a 20mm lens act like a 32mm lens, but only on a crop body! Even if its a 20mm EF-S lens, its still the standard naming, so it acts like a 32mm lens on a crop body.
Nice video! I'm considering getting this lens. It's the closest to getting 35mm on a crop sensor. I will be using it for video only. How much do you love/hate this lens? Is it worth the $700? This will be my only lens for a pretty long while...
How did you maintain such good video quality while shooting in 6400 iso. i didn't notice any noisy footage at all.
