You don't choose what you laugh at and it's possible for the same person to find both easy uninformed comedy and more intellectially challenging comedy funny.

@specialfx34 Well, I obviously agree wholeheartedly. That is why I also have always been a HUGE Eddie Izzard fan also. The brain dead commercial masses can keep Jim Davidson, Little Britain and Roy 'Chubby' Brown..... coz I don't want them!

@specialfx34 exactly. subtle humour all about body language and timing. don't like to judge things but shows like little Britain can often be painfully unfunny. almost embarrassing watching it with others.

@specialfx34 now I'd thumb that comment up. But I have only one problem with it. Leigh Francis' Bo Selecta I agree does pull in the audience of people who laugh for the sake of laughing. However he has managed to wrap himself in a persona that makes these shows. It's all part of the character, including his other shows. If you bare that in mind you can watch it for the cringe factor. You can also argue this for Little Britain, but they try too hard for it too be funny.
