  • Hey Cornster, sorry I've only just seen your reply to my msg. Thanks, I am totally hooked on it and practising a lot, every day when possible, and I think it's going well so far. Thanks for the motivation, I kinda feel at times that it's seen as a 'guys thing' but to me music is universal and for everyone!

  • @MsAngel1508 just go for it, dont get bogged down in whether its a guy thing, cos your right, it isn't!! if you can play you can play, thats all there is to it. an instrument isn't baised towards who is playing it, so we should not be baised to what we play, practice, get up to speed, get your confidence up, and when your ready, post summat up and show the boys how its done!!! catch you another time.

  • Thanks for your reply Cornster - just started learning myself and had 5 lessons but going well.

No kit yet but hoping to get a Yamaha e-kit in the next few weeks. Hopefully once I've progressed I'll be brave enough to upload a couple of vids, even to get some feedback and to see my own progression.

Get some strange looks from people being a female and learning to play the drums but doesn't bother me, I quite enjoy seeing the look on peoples faces! Lol.

Look forward to more vids bud.

  • @MsAngel1508 you go girl!! practice alot, and you'll be amazed at the progress you'll make, and trust me, there are alot of great female drummers, who are respected in the professional music industry.

  • Great job - can I ask how long you've been playing?

    Cheers

  • @MsAngel1508 on and off for quite a while, but i was without a kit for nearly 12yrs, i only got back into it about 3yrs ago. this one was an early one, i'm happy to say i can now play it quite a bit better these days. i also have better cymbals, and the kit is now in tune which also helps lol!!

  • Great Job!

  • @drums4life5 thanks man, not my best vid and i'm gonna redo it sometime. but thanks for the good comment.

  • still good but ronnie vannuci does alot more in this song watch the royal albert hall version and you'll know what im talking about

  • @QuigleyProductions ok my friend, i'll check it out.

  • goooood job the cornster

  • @fclor17 thank you man, but i gotta redo this one day, cos i can play it so much better!

  • Good job!! How long you've been drumming?

  • @bctinio glad you like it, tho i listen to this now, and i know i can play it alot better. been playing a little while, on and off over the years

  • Cool cover fella, I'm a trucking drummer also and have just started learning this tune for my band, I'm blagging it at the moment as I haven't been playing very long, but this will be a big help. I listen to songs I'm learning at work and while I'm behind the wheel I can play along in my head, but once behind my kit nothing seems to make sense lol..... But watching videos like yours are a big help, keep on keepin' on buddy!!!!

  • hey man, we have an awful lot in common by the seem of things. i play my steering wheel with my fingers, and hit where my drums would be in front of me. it aint perfect, but it does help co-ordination. if i can give you one tip the best thing to work on is independence! the art of getting all your limbs doing different things without interfering with your rythmn. its hard but worthwhile. stay cool man, and keep on trucking!!

  • Cheers man, I'll try that. I like your relaxed style too, I tend to get too tense and play too hard. It's mainly down to having to use practice pads so the neighbours don't complain lol. Cheers for the advice anyway. Rock 'n roll saves lives.......

  • I like your style :P

You're playing with a free mind, if you know what I mean xD

Also I love your accent^^ You british?

  • thanks, glad you like it, and yes i am english/british.

  • why all the sings i've done??? xD....IS all the things (TH) done xDD...

  • dude! does it really matter!! for heavens sakes!!!

  • Mate, that was really cool.. nice tasteful playing, and a crisp sound.. those cymbals sound really cool too, dry and heavy with nice sustain. cheers!

  • well thanks my friend, but if anyone asks about this cover, i gotta be honest, i always point them too your version, cos to be fair it is spot on, but thanks for the good comment, i appreciate it!

  • Sweet drum cover dude! :D

    And neat tatoos.. ^^

(You remind me Francis from Left 4 Dead)

  • thanks my friend, glad you like, and as for the francis thing......... yeah i can see where that might come from LOL!!

  • love the cover

  • thanks very much, its ok, but i will redo it one day, cos i know i can play it much tighter than this.

  • I agree, not a bad cover - in your own style. Also agree that 'rebeat2u' nailed it properly. But good effort all the same mate!

  • no problem, good comment, thank you.

  • I watch it everyday! You're a rolemodel! Great drumming!

  • well thank you very much my friend, your praise maybe some what higher than it should be, but i'll take it!! you've just made my day!!

  • Solid cover, you should really get some new cymbals. Are those Orions brass? They sound like it. Check out paiste PST5 or Alpha range. A mix between beginner and professional, they sound incredible are extremely cheap. Although if you have the cash get some Paiste Signatures, best cymbals ever made.

  • thanks man, just brought some new cymbals, got some Stagg DH, exotic and brilliant, decent price, sound great, check the video on my channel.

  • sweet tats man!!!

and good cover i like the spin on it

  • thank you very much my friend, i appreciate your good comments!!

  • no problem

  • Thank you sooo much. Im tring to learn this song and this video helps so much because its an amazing cover very nice cover!

  • thank you man, glad i could help, and i appreciate your comment on the cover. mine is not bad, but its not correct as per the song, if you want to see it done properly watch the cover by "rebeat2u" it is very very good. stay cool my friend and thanks for the sub as well!!

  • ive seen his video and i like yours better

  • well thank you very much! his is better tho lol!!

  • o yea i forgot to mention that i like this cover aswell

  • you should do when you were young or mr brightside those songs are both very fun

  • yeah! they could be one's for the future, out of the two it would more likely be when you were young, hope you liked this one, stay cool my friend!

  • You don't read music!!! You must be good at playing by ear because I've been playing for a year and it took me 6 months to learn how to play that perfectly. But your version is as good as mines.

  • well thankyou very much, but you praise me too highly! it is all by ear, but its also full of little mistakes and a fair bit of improvisation, but it goes with the backing track so i spose thats close enough. i'm sure your version is awesome, and much closer to the original than mine!! cheers dude, stay cool.

  • dude your a great drummer and i see you've learned that by ear and so have i lol

i know i've commented before and now im saying its good lol

im playing this song at school on the first day back i been learning it for like half a year

  • good for you man, go for it, dont be nervous and rock the place!!

  • A great crack at a Vannucci eventual classic.

  • cheers Joshie, good to have you back, it aint perfect, but i still enjoyed playing it, thanks for your kind words.

  • u r so good and great song

  • it is a great song and thankyou for the good comments, glad you enjoyed it, check out my channel if you loke this kind of stuff, plenty more on there.

  • a few tweaks! lol

    a lot more

  • yep like i said it aint perfect, but i dont read music or use tabs so it never will be, thanks for the comment tho!

  • This one is way better then the previous one. Nice job!

  • thankyou very much, and it is way better than the first. saying that its still got a few mistakes and needs tweaking here and there, but cheers for the kind comment!

  • I think there's a billion ways to make this song with the drums, and you make your way, nice job

  • thanks man, appreciate the good comment, very glad that you like it, if you haven't already watch rebeat2u version, it is spot on, a really good cover, stay cool bro!

  • another great job and another song i love keep it up dude!

  • as always, thanks very much dude, sorry for the late reply, just got back from 4 days in Barcelona, keep watching bro, new vids arriving soon.

  • nice job mate...i'd have you in my band.pity cos im in lancashire.keep on rockin mate.

  • man, that is the kindest comment, and a real compliment, thankyou very much, as it happens i am actively looking for another band, as for one reason or another, my old band is no more, but your right, unfortunately Lancashire is a bit far away from Worcestershire, but thanks anyway. if you havent already, checkout my channel, lots more good stuff on there, stay cool man!

  • awesome

  • hey sol, how ya doing, thanks dude, glad you like, hope the info on the kit was useful to you, keep it rock bro!

  • hey man how ya doin. thanks for watching my cover and giving me some good constructive feedback, i appreciate it. if you read the response i made to LifeLineBand i hope that explains why my covers aren't exact, but i will listen to the track again and see if i can improve on the points you make, when i have got it sorted, i'll reshoot the video, and post it again. ckeckout my channel if you like and give me your thoughts on some of my other covers, stay cool bro!

  • how did that set cost?

  • the kit originally cost £650, (US$1000) now with the cymbals, Remo heads, and a few other bits and bobs roughly £1000, (US$1500) not at all expensive given what you can spend on drum kits, and the quality you get with a PDP kit. (basically a cheaper range of DrumWorks) is very good!

  • i agree awesome hi hat love the bass drum too well done

  • thanks alot man, i'm really happy that you enjoyed it, its comments like these that make it worth the time and effort to learn the songs and shoot the video. go to my channel and check out some more covers, let me know what you think and rate them as well. take it easy dude, hopefully catch you again soon!

  • how did you learn this song

  • hi, how ya doin. sorry for the late reply, but i'm a truck driver which sometimes means being away for a few days. to answer the question, its all by ear, i don't read music, and don't use tabs. if i,m not sure of any parts of the track, i will watch some youtube vids and try to pick it up, so basically its all improvisation. of course i try to stay true to the original, but none of my covers are exact, and never will be, but i hope you enjoy them, thanks for watching. stay cool.

  • cheers man, thanks alot. the Orion Viziuss cymbals are good, made in Brazil, and do have a real good sound, but are not overly expensive. my camera doesn't actually do them true justice, but glad you enjoyed the cover, check out my channel and see if there is anything else you like and then leave your comments and rate them. thanks again man, stay cool.

  • i like how your hi-hat sound its awesome
