Disappointed that I was not given credit for having shot this video. I remember still being out of breath when Mr. Tharp finished this performance. He asked if I had captured the entire piece! I said yes and he asked for a copy! The video is on his site with my credit, as he promised. Believe it or not, I labled the DVD to him, '.....tears it up!'.
Very impressive. Never went to NYC, however given what I hear, I guess both Tharp and the organ are worth a travel oversea. .. This organ looks really outsanding. Can't really hear his chamade solo at 4:05... but the end is such a raging of power ! 5*
@voixhumaine The part around 4:08 where he is playing the 5th manual is more than likely being played on the Triforium Trumpet which is near the front of the Cathedral. This stop is on around 18" which is why you can still somewhat hear it. If he were using the Trompette en Chamade you would know it as this stop is on nearly 33" and with the main organ in the Gallery. Hope this answers your question. :)
To be honest I have played this organ before and its a Kiligon not Pergallo the Pergallo organ company only restored the organ. And once again the amazing Stephen Tharp dose an amazing job with Improvisation. Thank you for the video.
@cavailleacoll Kilgen. Dates back to Sébastien Kilgen at the 2nd half of 17th, who was french, actually. Otherwise I agree: Tharp does an amazing job.. on an amazing organ.

@voixhumaine Not too sure whether his solo on 4th manual is on a chamade or not:

But anyway, still very convincing.. and impressive
