I think you can do that for Source SDK. (CSS, HAlf Life 2, etc)

@Lasvegas4everr I don't think they have more, just easier and more user friendly.

It takes alot longer to do stuff on the PC version because everything is done using the mouse basically.

On the 360 it took me 5 seconds to get from the terrain tools, all the way to the object tools and selected a specific building.

PC it took me around 15 secounds. Of course I am more use to the 360 controller

@Lasvegas4everr Actually it's wrong way around the PC has more than the console first off we can place lights around the editor unlike the console we can also model the cliff's in 3D so we can create overhangs and other various terrain 3D shapes.

I have made this awesome map, where everything is flooded by water, and the only dry places are some mountains. There are small settlements and spawn points for APR and UFLL and stuff. And boats to go to the other islands and stuff. And some cars for the bigger islands. Its pretty cool, but i don't have live :(

I think ALL fps games should have map editors like this one. This makes Halo's forge mode look like crap. Can you imagine making your own Zombie map on Cod? Or reinventing halo 2 maps on reach? Or creating maps for Crysis 2? God, the possibilities...

Fantastic map editor. Best console map editor for an FPS. Terrible gameplay.

They focused too much on trying to imitate Modern Warfare at the time, focused on small shit like grass catching fire and fixing your car, but your character moves way too slow and the sprinting until you get blurry vision stuff really holds this game back.

Don't buy this just because of the map editor. Game itself was not done right.

i understand that you can place lights in the computer map editor for far cry 2. now i like far cry 2 very much and like making maps more than i do even playing the game. when i want to make a night time map it becomes useless because without working street and indoor lights you run around aimlessly in the dark and it ruins the whole game, therefor i do not make night time maps anymore. if you could put a free patch on the xbox 360 website that would be nice thank you,

Map in Far Cry 2 is one of the best in all games. Whole work put into project of this map is fucking amazing...I'm wondering, how much time artists of this map put into it ? I guess it was around half or 1 year...

@MEonly123654 Unfortunately when they licensed the Cry Engine 2 Source Code the license actually states that the map editor if provided has to be multiplayer only, so really Crytek are the only one's allow to do that and believe me the editor for it can do EVERYTHING!!! but it's not single player that's the problem, it's assets and unfortunately you can't do that on a console EVER.

Single Player needs a lot of data and the Xbox 360 or PS3 can not take it if there was going to be single player function it would of been a PC exclusive but taking all platforms to heart the dev's made it Multi only. I know TS: FP had a story editor but it was extremely limited and very buggy and the AI was terrible levels were to blocky as well.

No I completed it. The storyline was okay, the malaria crap was so dumb. They didn't know what else to do, so I guess they thought, "Hey, let's make everyone pissed off and give the character malaria." You are in Africa for like 2 minutes, and already you get sick. The graphics were beast, though. The terrain was, too. Weapons were nice. Another dumb thing is that you would run into a patrol on the road every 10 seconds. Cars freakin get damaged too easily. Finally, 50 cal. shot like so slowly.

alright alright ill give u the patrol shit that got me really angry because they had an outpost every minute but i think the malaria was kinda a realistic feel but also got annoying at times like (im rampaging down a street with 6 trucks on my tail gunning me down and then malaria attack lol) but i loved the graphics and the realistic feel to the game with wildlife and sounds i think the pros outnumber the cons so its a good buy but maybe some could mod it to fix some problems?
