It left out too many important points. and like how someone before me said, Jesus didn't need to convince God to come to Earth because God was planning for Jesus to come here all along. There is a mis-conception of hell I find...The "Pit", "lake of fire", fire and brimstone"....this place of eternal punishment was created for the devil and his angels. Hell for humans I find to be, that after the death of the flesh (first death), there is a judgment on your soul. The "second death" is when you're guilty before God, and he erases your soul from the book of life. No eternal suffering, just you cease to exist. Eg.:

Akoroth, I know the bible can be confusing, especially the first testament. Please read the Second testament. To me, this is the real message. Jesus' teachings may help answer alot of your questions. There are also many other books out there besides the bible that can help. The Case for Christ is one. I believe the author was on a mission to disprove God and found evidence to the contrary.

If god is all powerful and all knowing, and if the first cause argument is correct.. then we can conclude that everything happens because of cause and effect which started at creation, meaning that man has no free will (as god knows what he will do, because he is all knowing).. so the concepts of hell and hell, salvation and sin... and everything else to do with faith are ridiculous. There is a mis-conception of hell I find...The "Pit", "lake of fire", fire and brimstone"....this place of eternal punishment was created for the devil and his angels. Hell for humans I find to be, that after the death of the flesh (first death), there is a judgment on your soul. The "second death" is when you're guilty before God, and he erases your soul from the book of life. No eternal suffering, just you cease to exist. Eg.:
Romans6:23, Galations6:8, Proverbs11:19, Hebrews10:39, Matt10:28

The idea that it's OK for God to punish someone for being the way he made them seems immoral to me. Similarly, for the idea that people should suffer eternal torture for honest disbelief. If God is the first cause of all existence, then any inherent strength in free will, or weakness in free will, that causes us to deviate from the "true" path is the result of engineering flaws, if you will, that God purposely and knowingly instilled in us.

2. Unfortunately, there is no answer that I know of for the second question without speculation.
3. This is a major misconception. There is no eternal torture/punishment/suffering. Instead of going to Heaven, people simply die. It's really the same idea as for those who don't believe in a God.

@JessAlexanderD Actually alot of Christians have that wrong. In Hebrews it actually says that we are under a new covenant. 10% tithing is an Old testament covenant with the Jews. I totally understand where you are coming from bc there is so many different things that so-called Christians are saying are biblical. I don't go to a church like that because tithing and salvation have nothing to do with each other. A lot of people disagree with what Im saying but it is in the bible.
