  • scare mongering bullshit :)

  • thats cocus

  • Phew I freaked for a minute when she brought up ear piece.Thought it turned out to be dirtier.

  • If you're worried about a few germs on your phone, you'll be horrified when you find out that at any one time there are about 20 times as many microbes living off you than you have cells in your body.

  • haha thats stupid.... everything is a breeding ground

  • Comment removed

  • omg, i never thought there many bacteria on our own cellphone

  • @jessicagibbins43

I wouldn't be surprised if the colonies they found weren't pathogenic.

  • I CAN SUCK MY OWN DICK

  • this is germ-phobia, germs strengthen our immune system.

  • Yeah all I got outta this was how retarded she lookde at the end lmao

  • We watched this video in biology class today. Very interesting, but we all couldn't help but laugh at the lady standing there and smiling

  • "City cellphone bans"

You've banned using cellphones in US cities? WTF?

  • @GnosticHumanist nah, just while driving

  • as soon as i finished watching this i started feeling all sick and gross i need a shower and to whipe don my entire life lol

  • Back to you .. at the last part , the womens says " Back to you " and then she is waiting for the video to off , but she is just smiling , and stop aand smile until the vid go off

  • 0:52 looks like flat Petri-Dish to be streaked!

  • i'm proud of myself i wash my hands all the time

  • and its all over your money, so give it to me and I'll take care of it, ;) lol

  • @SmokingJoePot :D smart choice :D

  • @UBIincorporated I know right, dollar bills go through stripper clubs and then back into circulation so we don't know what kind of diseases dollar bills could be carrying. For all we know some dollars could be carrying herpies.

  • @SmokingJoePot you're right they carry a lot of diseases

  • just finished cleaning my phone!

  • @miki2526 you cleaned your phone... but still you didn't kill all bacteries from there... even washing hands good, you won't kill everything but mostly.

  • If you're worried about germs and bacteria on your phone or mobile device, grab a Bacterminator case, it's awesome!

  • @Pamg1am: I agree it probably is better to be safe rather than sorry, but I'm not a fan of the sound bit scare tactic using misleading/false info. Also, oral and genital herpes is pretty much the same thing and can cross infect, so it's pretty shaky to say one is transferred by fomites but not the other.

  • am cleaning my cellphone RIGHT NOW!

  • I'm feeling kinda itchy now...

  • I eat bacteria for breakfast

  • Something like only 0.1% of microbes can be cultured in the lab, so I bet the phone-bacterial infestation is much worse than they made it out to be. Also, I found it interesting that the guy cautioned to beware of sharing your cellphone with somebody that is having a herpes outbreak, because I thought you could only contract herpes by skin to skin contact??

  • @americanboy717 genital herpes is by skin contact but oral herpes or herpes outbreaks on the mouth can be spread through saliva, sharing drinks, stuff like that. so letting someone use your cell phone to make a phone call isn't the best idea because we all spit tiny amounts of saliva when we talk, whether its visible or not. better safe than sorry i guess.

  • ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

  • You should clean your phone once in a while, especially if you share it with others so you don't catch anything from them. Otherwise, it's somewhat pointless because when you use ur phone again the germs will just get back on. I wouldn't advocate using anti-bacterial substances to clean; that will cause bacterial populations to develop resistance to these substances.

  • Dumb. You clean your phone, then it comes right back the next time you touch it. Why the hell should you try and clean your phone of the bacteria that IS ALREADY ALL OVER YOUR BODY. Stupidest news piece ever.

  • @LambadLambadLambda Why do people shave when hair keeps growing back?

  • @sc0rpi0n0

For cosmetic reasons. Go ahead and rub anti bacterial soap all over your body 3x a day, and mist yourself with bleach if you want to reduce the amount of bacteria on your body. But there are many more bacteria in your body that cells. It's just a part of life.

  • @LambadLambadLambda

you clean to keep the germ level low

  • Beware FECCAL contamination! Magic vegetable germ! Evil cucumber!

  • Watch out FECCAL contamination!

  • OMG vaginal and ass bacteria are all oner her hands women are walking germ factories

  • Common man people are so god damn afraid of germs it will eventually lead us to become weak, and when we truly get hit hard by a bacterial infection our immune systems are so down becouse of sterile enviroments that we will perish

  • @CrazyFoxAstral Well MRSA will most likely become the killer of man. I always get break outs in staph infections but i let my body fight it no anti biotics. ANd also i dont shower 2 times a day one is enough for me trying to harden my imune system up

  • i bathe in drain cleaner 3 times a day just to be sure

  • I love how so many people are terrified of germs and bacteria When they probably do not realize that quite a lot of bacteria do help us. They build up our immune system. If we as humans hadn't been introduced to very much bacteria at young ages and suddenly came into contact with something considered more harmful but not typically threatening then it could become threatening. I do apologize for going on about this however, bacteria is not something that should be feared as much as it is today.

  • @kenm708 War of the worlds.

  • awkward silence in the end lol

  • My body must be germ free after all the alcohol last night.

  • People who use that alcohol bases "germ-x" just to say are killing their symbiotic friends therefore inviting other types of bacterium to invade their dermis and end up getting sick long live symbioticism!! ( I know I didn't spell it right)

  • Schau doch mal bei Facebook unter " Schmerzfrei in 5 Minuten" vorbei, eine geniale Sache, hilft wirklich.

  • its so scary iam now cleaning ma phone every day and clean my hand with alcohol.

  • 2:50 - 2:57 awkwurrrrrrd

  • @DemoArtsProductions Pedophile.

  • I did a culture on my iphone home button and guess what, there was nothing.

  • The 32 Dislikes are the bacteria that is getting killed because of this video.

  • btw news reporter herpes is VIRUS good luck growing that on a petri dish

  • @Awsomedotcom her cell phone is set to vibrate, she got the herpes to grow on her her pees thats right she had cell phone sex

  • @MusicChrono I can reply all I want, this is America!

  • @MsSmartNerdGirl Yes, fight the power!

  • a Diphtheroids bitch should suck my sterptococcus !

  • 2100 killing bacteria will be a murder.

  • hey bro thanks for letting me use your iphone. oh yeah and thanks for the herpes.

  • @MusicChrono no it's not.

  • - Cleaning things to kill bacteria is mass murder!

  • "back to you..." Smiles Smiling still smiles and smiling smiles.....

  • our early ancestor, the bacteria.

  • It's not fauna... it's now classified as biota.. not all bacteria photosynthesize light. fauna is reserved for genus of plants which do. :)

  • Suck my streptococcus!!

  • Leave Steve alone!

  • Diphtheroids? The mean Corynebacteria, Ha, silly newscasters!

  • OH NO, "BACTERIA." That means it's bad!!!

  • paranoia!!!

  • :33 sec you see :|

awkward silence at the end too!

  • Bla bla bla anything handled regularly, doorknobs, sink knobs, car door handles, keys, etc are all "breeding grounds" for bacteria because their benefactors, us, "pollinate" those objects regularly with our hands. The media must have had nothing better to report that day.

  • @Judicial78 may be true but its good to let people like cookers know, i work with cookers all the time, i am one myself...and the dirty assholes never take into consideration this fact, they cook while texting or talking on the phone...and never wash their hands.... from that point of view i think its important to know about this...

  • I love the comments on this video.

    informed public : 1, media scare mongers : 0

  • this was so stupid and ignorant.

  • Now check your pockets, underwear, wallets and bras for germs.

You will drown yourself in alcohol I tell you.

  • What a stupid story! Of course there is going to be bacteria on your phone after you use it, duh! The only thing one needs to worry about is the presence of pathogenic bacteria. The majority of the Staph found on skin is S. epidermitis which is generally not pathogenic and may offer protection from invading pathogens by outcompeting them for space and nutrients. These dumb-asses don't know shit about bacteriology!

  • It doesnt mean bad it means where the thing was from

  • I heard staph in the word and i knew that wasn't good? how do you automatically know staph means bad

  • @fairyheli2 he is a lying bastard

  • f***ing scaremongering

  • Natural selection; take it easy on the disinfecting.

  • 2:09 lol who the hell would send a txt to someone just saying "Clean your phone"

    i would be like wtf?

  • Never thought about this...sick !

  • Tomorrow they'll say that we are not allowed to WALK because there are germs underneath us.

  • lysol will help

  • How 2 create them????

  • Who cares? Its not going to kill you.

  • @boxtrap21 but strep and herpes can make you pretty uncomfortable :D

  • You are killing little bacterias : (

  • @LilSayo I know! They have rights too! And we just murder them.

  • There is something even dirtier which is the keyboard, because besides using it people also sneezes on it, so if you go frequently to cafe internets, do not forget to wash your hands after using the pc, but you do not have to be scared of this, they can also take a sample of your saliva and you will be amazed to find out that there is much more bacteria there than in your phone

  • i drink lots of alcohol and im bacteria free...

  • staphlococcus and streptococcus are normal flora, so i wouldnt worry about this. There has been no trend in increasing phone usage with bacterial infection so this video is just trying to scare people

  • I like America but damn.... you guys have some shitty news. Haha i mean really, OMG GERMS ARE EVRYWHR OHNOEZ!

  • @goostuff5 I think a country in Europe going bankrupt and people rioting in the streets all day sounds pretty shitty to me...

  • @goostuff5 This isn't America, this is New Mexico. It could be argued that it's not really a state, thus, not part of the US part of America.

  • Put your mobile phone in boiling water after use....that'll kill all bacteria till the end of time.

  • 1:47 ZIT!

  • 1;47 ZIT!

  • Bacteria and microscopic beings are everywhere, even within our bodies. Us humans have lived with these microscopic for centuries. Thanks to segments like these the public is misinformed and led to believe that we need to disinfect everything. I believe everything in moderation is okay but lets not get carried away like that guy in the video who cleaned his phone four times during the shooting of this segment. Too much of anything is bad, whether it being disinfecting or not cleaning up at all.

  • @latin01180 germs=bad, not good. If humans want to never get sick and live forever we need to get rid of ALL bacteria on earth. Too much of disinfecting is not bad when bacteria will never be good. Good bacteria is not really "good" for us. We only need it because we are to lazy to disinfect everything to kill bad bacteria.

  • @260KPH ahha nice theory but it even it were possible to get rid of every bacteria on earth, we would simply die because they are necessary for maintaining the ENTIRE ecosystems and food chains

  • Lol in grade 10 we made bacteria cultures of things around my school and I swabbed the bathroom pass thingy....that thing was so nasty when they grew after one or two days XD...and then the room began to stink o.O

  • when there's sweat on my phone, i clean it immediately. :))))

it's a touch screen so it's annoying to touch phone with oils from the face and sweat from your head. :))

  • after use Nokia mobile. No more Bacteria~

  • MICROBES OUT NUMBER ANY SPECIES AND ARE VERY IMPORTANT FOR BALANCE IN ANTYRE..WHETHER GOOD OR BAD!

  • herpes, mm, do want.

  • Like someone said some posts back, drowning everything in alcohol just to kill off all the "germs" won't only make you sicker because you'll have developed a weak immunity to these bacteria due to no exposure (hundreds of First Nations were killed off by smallpox a century or two ago because they never developed an immunity to it unlike the settlers that arrived there), it will also force the remaining bacteria to mutate into a supergerm that no current antibiotic will be able to fight against.

  • @FlowerEmblem 'it will also force the remaining bacteria to mutate into a supergerm that no current antibiotic will be able to fight against.'

Your a hero. Unfortunately some people don't get it.

  • @latin01180

I know families that use sanitizer after they wash their hands, to get rid of "all" the germs. Their children all have asthma. Not all kids that have asthma have it because of that, but it feels like your kid might most likely have so if you constantly tell them to sanitize their hands D:

Example of a supergerm: Flesh-Eating Disease. We're responsible for a strain that causes it :/

  • Back to you..............................

  • In fact, we have more bacterial cells than own cells in our body... they are living in our skin, hair, eyes, urethra, mocus, intestine... we´re obligated to chose between live with good-bacteria or with pathologic-bacteria

  • This is the funniest Youtube thread I think I've ever read.

  • I'd be freaked out if there WEREN'T bacteria on my phone. She should swab her pillow, hairbrush, toothbrush, doorknobs, keyboard, etc, I'm sure she'd drown her house in rubbing alcohol then...

  • "I heard staph in the word..."

    L O L

If it wasn't for Staphylococcus Aureus you would be dead from parasitic, or viral invasions..

Everyone freaks out when they hear the words bacteria, mold, fungus but hello.. Bread, Cheese, Penicillin, Beer...

yep all thanks to bacteria, mold or fungus..

    Take a Microbiology class..

it is interesting to note how many "germs" as people call them are actually Symbiotic to Humans..

Google it if you don't know what it means

    SJ

  • @sjuapseorn dont forget your intestinal bacteria. The flora in there help digestion (tho we can digest without them) and reduce the symptoms of lactose interolerance!

  • @sjuapseorn true, i'm a survivor of mrsa. that one eats ya.

  • @sjuapseorn yes most bacteria are a part of our normal flora :)

  • Comment removed

  • @sjuapseorn its called 'normal flora' and stop showing off

  • too busy to clean their phones? Bullshit. College students study 5 hours before each test without sleeping, the rest of the time they are partying.

  • only the strong bacteria survive on wipe downs ! muahah Good fight evolution!

  • @alen209 this is actually true LOL thats why they are resisting antibiotics and stuff now

  • LOL.... ima send you a bacteria =)

  • Hmm... well, Que sera sera.

  • COCCUS xD

  • If you fail at math, fail at science, fail at everything in life, you can always get a job as a reporter.

  • wat abt iphone?

  • omg there's bacteria on my phone NO SHIT there's bacteria everywhere bacteria isnt going anywhere

  • no bacteria = DEATH!

  • jesus this is news??

  • I hate news ,they only talk about stuff you dont want to know about or stuff that scares you

  • This is incredibly fucking stupid

i reckon most of the ppl in this video cant write a paragraph on what bacteria is and here they are, hailing it as the coming of the anti-christ

just goes to show fear and shock breeds stupidity

  • -coccus lol

  • Duh theres bacteria on everything

  • Lol the bugs she found on the phone are typical skin flora bacteria...

S.aureus is a oppurtunistic pathogen so if your healthy theres not really any threat. Just media trying to scaremonger lol.

  • the only time you should clean your phone is when it has visible dirt, oil, or fingerprints....you don't need to sterilize it every 30 minutes.... that doesn't mean don't keep it clean...but that bacteria mentionned in the video that's on our phones comes from our skin..and our skin is covered with it 24/7 ....our skin is impermeable enough to these bacteria...and that's why when you have a cut/sore or puncture in your skin it makes you vulnerable to getting a staph infection...

  • what the hell slow news day or something, "News flash bacteria are everywhere" oh noes not bacteria!!

  • 10 second lag @ 2:51 hahahahah funny!

  • Hahah! GET HERPES FROM A CELLPHONE????

  • @taxivid Yeah! haha Phone sex! XD

  • back to you.... (so slow try to keep on smiling....)

  • little awkward towards the end

  • too lazy to clean xD

  • Why are we so obsessed with bacteria, i know some bacteria can be fatal such as MRSA, but seriously we are really taking bacteria too far, it's only a natural growing organism if we tried to eradicate it all life as we know it would not be the same.

  • germ freaks are funny people hahaha

  • at the back at you bit, close to the end, she stopped smilin a bit then when back to smilin :D

  • Did u know that MRSA is on everyone now?

only 30% of the poeple immune system fail to the infection.

did you know that a cell phone is a hand held micro wave device?

did you know that there is a class action law suite in the US agaisnt the communication industries for the ill health effects from wireless devices?

1st claim was for 150 million in 2004.

did you know that a 3G cell will pull down the blood flow to the brain by up to 50%?

time to wake up and take back whats left of you

  • that is gross and cool at the same time

  • dang those bacteria cultures were 4 days old, not very good examples 2 and a half to three days would have been better

  • "Hey Frank, how are you doing?"

This guy's gonna make it BIG!

  • i dont care ....doesnt matter

  • Germs are digusting ! FOREAL

  • she's hot, and, as you can all see, she is bacteria free! whew, it's a party!

  • swine fluuu

  • Lol at the awkward 10 sec stare

    after the "back to you"

  • ELEVEN SECONDS

  • haha i saw that, it was really funny bak to you then she stays there LOL

  • @ReitoFX yeah they should have stayed on her longer lol

  • @ReitoFX HAHA that made me laugh

  • @ReitoFX her smile faded after like 5 seconds then the guy was like keep going! so she was like gahhhhh

  • @ReitoFX

Rofl, she was like "Do I have to smile much longer?!?"

  • @ReitoFX Man I love the awkward pauses LMAO

  • @ReitoFX

    ROFL

  • the things ppl do when they r bored...take a swab of my butthole and see how much bacteria grows there lmaoo

  • This reporter is an idiot. Unless that strep on the phone is IGAS or if the staph is MRSA/VRSA, or other highly pathogenic strains, then you don't have to worry about anything.

  • Those bacteria are not any problem. u are going to insert your phone into your blood stream. we have more bacteria in our food or in the air. our body is so good at keeping those microbes away. our bodies defenses even scan the surface of the skin using probe like dendrites

  • The question is should bacteria have animal rights?

  • @paperboyjohn ahahahaha!

  • @paperboyjohn no, they aren't animals!

  • @paperboyjohn Well they aren't animals, so no =P

  • @paperboyjohn HELL NO

  • @paperboyjohn the only problem with that is bacteria aren't animals.
