you couldnt be more wrong, XP is one of the most stable OS at the moment. it supports pretty much every new peice of software, the network config on it is stable. there is rarly any driver issues, so when you say no one wants XP , stop talking out your ass

by itself (before updates or anything else) windows server 2003 uses like 800mb of space maybe less i think.
