  • Mos Def is an amazing lyricist!

  • Mos is a respectful of the past hip hop "real old school" rap.

  • wicked

  • 70s, 80s and 90s we had MCs. People with knowledge and soul. Rappers have no soul and are sellouts. Last decade was golden, last decade because we start counting at first century no 0 century. This world is sad, even drake from degrassi, not the original which is the kids of degrassi street but the gay degrassi.

  • A yes yes y'all!

  • I love it. I never heard Mos spit on a beat like this

  • This is something refreshing!

  • Is it me or is there a verse of Sugarhill Gang. Nice hommage.

  • mos def is the best lyricist in the game he influenced me toooo listen to rap with a meaning to it not this south rap thats killing hip hop

  • sweet ryme's

  • @randalmendonsa the fans killed hip hop not the south

  • @topplaya15 no, i'm pretty sure lil' wayne did that:-p

  • @randalmendonsa South rap? Bro, you ever heard of OutKast?

  • @randalmendonsa GO TO MY PAGE AND LISTEN TO SOME REAL "SOUTH RAP" AND SEE WHAT SOUTHERN HIP-HOP REALLY SHOULD SOUND LIKE. RESEARCH THA ARTISTS YOU HEAR, AND RETHINK THAT STATEMENT. BY THE WAY, YOU ARE RIGHT. THAT CRAP THAT'S OUT NOW IS KILLING HIP-HOP...BUT IT'S NOT JUST ONE REGION'S FAULT. IT'S THE BLATANT AND DISREPECTFUL COMMERCIALISM OF THE ART FORM.

    FEEL ME ALL DAY.

    audiosmoke

    HIP-HOP SINCE IT WAS HIPPITY-HOP.

  • @randalmendonsa Im from the North West but I support real hip hop world wide. You cant write off a whole region's music as detrimental to the art. There are of artists who rep the south and contribute to hip hop as a whole including brothas like Little Brother.

  • @nappysoul right on

  • @randalmendonsa not all southern hip-hop kills the culture. all coasts are responsible. you dont know shit

  • @randalmendonsa werd. bk all day. evn tho im from astoria queens. =p

  • @randalmendonsa woahhhhhhhhhhhh bro, you need to check your music history.

i dont pay attention to any other state, but texas has put out some of the illest emcees ever. dont ever blame a single place on a world wide music genre. therers talent everywhere.

  • @randalmendonsa the faster tempo did started in the south but it was in florida and it would of have never goten out if NY would of had taken it mainstrea to clubs and radios back way back in the day then after NY toke the south style the south toke the west cost style and slowd it down and NY did influence the faster tempo with this type of music as far as i know it was florida not all the south so technically NY killed hip hop but yes around 2004 when all of atlanta come out

  • @randalmendonsa Im from the south randal and I gotta tell you, you are SO Fuking Right. I can't stand south music. People are just ignorant when it comes to listening to music. Ask a person why they listen to the music that they listen too, and some will say it makes them feel good, and it makes them wanna dance.. Bullshit. The question should be, what do you learn from music, what is the lesson? SOo many lessons in Hip-hip, a 3-5 minute enlightening lecture; TRUE HIP-HOP.
