also....... the mellotron choirs........ i think im buying the PC3LE6 ........ half polyphony... but just thought it would compliment my Yamaha S70xs on stage
First of all have mercy-I'm a 60 year old getting back into this, and the last keyboard I had was an ESQ-1! I looked on Sonikmatter but maybe don't know what to ask. How do I control the PC3x using the clock from Sony's Acid Pro 7? I'm using USB (no MIDI card) what's the diff between generating a MIDI clock and a MIDI time code? Thank you (or anyone reading) in advance!
I have the Kurzweil PC3x for couple of months now, but when it comes to integration to technology, I have some problems...I would like to know how to transfer the songs I play in my Kurzweil to my computer. I tried the cable but it produces a .PC3 file which of course, is not recognizable...do I need an SDK card? AV cable? Can you help me on that one? And thanks, I love your Kurzweil videos.
Well, I think you do need a SD-card. When you have an SD-card you can export the song in the song mode. I guess one other way might be to make a midi file by playing the file and recording it to midi channels in a DAW.
You cannot transmit audio through the midi or the usb cable. The easiest way is to have an audio interface/sound card that connects to your computer and record the audio directly into it.
google tweakheadz it is a very informative site. Also Mastering Vast. Another great kurz site.
hi again. as i sais before, my kurzweil pc3x will come next week, but i have a problem. i've been playing piano since i was 9years old, now i have 18 but this will be my first synth :\ i only play in classic pianos. so i probably will need some help. can u give me your email or msn or skype so i can talk to you if i need? thanks
Hi, before I give you my msn or skype, I first suggest you to sonikmatter forum (just google "sonikmatter pcxx series" and register to the forum. There are A LOT of people that can help you there. My advice is just to read the manual from kurzweil's webpage, and play, try and explore! You can send me private messages on youtube if you want, but I would say that you get better help from the sonikmatter forum. It's free to register.
I haven't received anything, nor do I expect anything in return. I wanted to show people how it sounds and plays because it's a good keyboard and Kurzweil isn't a big company right now so I wanted to support them. I have all I need as long as I follow Jesus. The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.
Hello mate, i was wondering if you can make like 4 or 5 splits on the pc3x, and if you change from one program to another does the previous sound just cut or fade??? thank You...
i have the pc3. but i think korg's choirs are way better, since m1

Yes but vast isn't the easiest architecture to program. Far from it, but it's the most powerful one that's out there.

Yeah, the SD-card can be used to save midi files. For audio, there's digital and analog outputs.
