put a lot of importance on the break; part lol i started watching this and paused it as soon as i saw code and went to do a home test on on program and got stuck on it for a long time becouse i forgot the break;  lawl after finishing the program 2 and a half hours later i come back to finish watching the video

@1991bosbos Actually the latest java, java SE 7 allows strings to be used in a switch statement. Enums can also be used in a switch

This tutorial is very easy to understand and we can learn some java basics pretty quickly than reading tons of pages from a Java book.....

it will be better to go through these tutorials first, then read a nice Java book.....

I have a question. What if I wanted one of the cases to be between two values. For example: int x=90 and I want it to print "A+" if x is between 85 and 100. Is that possible using Switch Statements? Thanks to anyone who replies.

switch is used if u have a specific values to compare against ; otherwise, use if and else ...good luck !

[3] personal information

[4] EXIT..

Anywase, the problem I was having is I can't change the file extension of my notepad txt file, I typed in HelloWorld.java and everything but nothing happens if you could help that would be great.
