Ever since 1978 when I first found an album in the Denver Public Library of Walter Gerwig playing Bach I have been in love with lute & it's literature .

His was the very first album on which I ever heard a lute. Thanks for the posting.

@efraingonzalez Just wanted you to know that I have Dr. Gerwig's original vinyl Nonesuch recordings of the E major, E minor and A major suites. They have meant so much to me over the years--brought me peace in many troubled hours. He was surely one of the finest Bach players of all time. I was delighted to see that these performances have been remastered--I just bought the Musica-HON CD.
