Everyone talks about the cabin width, but I'm fine with the cabin width on traditional GA singles. I don't need 51" cabin. However, I need the knee space and the head room. I sat in SportCruiser, and it was simply impossible to close the canopy: by the time it touched my head, it still had 2 inches to go to latch. And I could not scoot lower in the seat because my knees were pressed against the dash.
Thanks for the info about the price, it is greatly appreciated. I think younger talking about champagne tastes on a beer budget. I still feel that the day someone can produce an aircraft nice like this, (and it is very nice) at an affordable price point for most people, that company will become the new "Ford" like after they came out with the Model "T" or whatever it was...
$123,450 is the base price. The only way to get her above $125K is to start loading her up with EFIS', autopilots, leather, metallic paint, etc.There ARE 60K birds out there by reputable companies. It is just a consumer choice. Just like there are low, middle and high-end automobiles; there will be low, middle and high-end LSA's. Everyone has a niche where they can fit in; we want the entire industry to succeed. Whether in an experimental kit, an ELSA, or an SLSA; hope to see you out there!
@64jorthom, I just meant that I wish someone would build us an affordable LSA! If they did, they would get rich doing it. 140-Grand is NOT what I call affordable to about 95% of the planet! I want one for $60-Grand! (and that's pushin it) AOPA, you want to know why GA is struggling? Easy, IT COSTS TOO MUCH!
Same question as @LTF85199, how much? Bet it's like $138,000... Just like the other expensive LSA's. You want to be rich and have a super selling feature? Build and sell a LSA for under 60-grand, you couldn't build them fast enough and it would bring back GA. Oh well...
Its so nice to be finally getting some of these designs available here in the US. This looks like a very nice little aircraft, and might be a winner for the American market.
i'm 6ft 8... don't care about width... care about headroom...
