Inbreeding in dogs is not abuse, it's actually pretty common (linebreeding) though usually you try to be one link removed (like breed an uncle to a niece) I wouldn't do it, but it isn't abuse.

If you notice his house is clean and the dogs are healthy. If this is hoarding then lets go to all the cow towns across the country and film all the people with farms and tell the world there is somehting wrong with them!

@peridore1984 Yes, but he has unaltered dogs creating more dogs which are left unaltered, who then breed with their siblings/parents. Just because the animal looks healthy, you have no idea if it is kept up to date on its shots, if the nails are regularly trimmed, if it's regularly groomed. With that many animals, no way to give them the proper attention or socialization, and more just keep on coming! Hoarding isn't defined by having a messy house, or animals that are visibly ill.

if he really wants to keep the animals he should desex them and train them. training them all together would be very diffcult and over whelming, i would sugest training them in groups of 5 or 3. and keeping them in an inclosed space until the are properly trained

I am on Season 2. I contacted the show for my mother. I would like to tell you that they manipulated many scenes and twist the actual situations. They had us do things that were completely false and act out lies.My mothers kittys were healthy happy country kitties. We both work so hard to clean up and care for them. Yet Animal planet only wanted to focus on whatever dirt they could dig up! Horrible expierence! Regret ever asking for help! They only care about ratings not the animals or the ppl!

@Jal1515 there are laws for this, Id think those are even trained period, this abuse in all ways, they should put the poor animals up for adoption to good families who would truly care, and train them to have long happy lives...right now, those dogs sound like they are open to a short life span and pron to disease! I think the Chihuahuas they have already have a bunch of diseases... breeding to one another not knowing which one is the parent if they are inbreeding at all is mortifying none the less.

@Jal1515 wow...yes, every state has different laws, but each state is entitled to protect animals, and dogs and cats are all required to wear a license one their neck, or have a chip inside to identify them...I just feel so sorry for the poor little pups!

Can't someone get this man in touch with a organization that will fix these animals? This is no life- not for the people OR the dogs. Dogs thrive on routine and order in their lives. They need regular examinations and scheduled shots. Alan is not showing love by failing to live up to his responsibilities. And it sounds like Alan could use a therapist who will help him find some order and focus in his own life.
