  • "Where ever you go, There you are ." B.B. 1984

  • This classic music is so beautiful, and it still remains a wonderful song to enjoy.

  • removes the color from our sight.....red is grey and yellow white but we decide which is right and which is an allusion.

  • why are you reading my fuckin comment, enjoy the song.

  • "From the film" ????? From the Musical!!! Which should be a film! :D And I'm pretty sure this song was never in that musical.

  • @all13Doctors You are right, sorry to the uploader as they are going to hate this comment, as like you said this was not in War of the worlds musical although Justin Hayward sang another song on that album, also this is not the extended version either this is just the album version going into another track called "Late Lament", just how it is on the album.

  • I don't know why exactly, but I really like this song!

Just like some other persons here I'm pretty young, but I definitely know this song by heart.

To me it sounds so...passionate and beautiful.♥

    But that's just my opinion.

  • Excess in any form is deadly. Recreation is the key to living.

  • I get high off of music, I don't need drugs for that.

  • @dustermouse I agree, then I mixed the two.The drugs ruined the music eventually.Luckily,I quit the drugs. The music is better without .It was like those stupid commercials where they cartoonize real people.I yap too much.Peace on,friends.

  • @selbz014, can you please tell me the connection between the song and the movie? I really couldn't find anything on Wikipedia and Google. And by the way, if it were spelled Knights In White Satin, they would've been jolly gay.

  • coooooool

  • i like old nice good music

  • I listen to this song and wonder, how many people my age know this song..... (15)

  • @Twistedmindcontrol probably about 6, in all

  • @Twistedmindcontrol Loads there is a dubstep remix

  • @Twistedmindcontrol Im thirteen and i do :)

  • muito bom

  • That song is terrible. I want to start using drugs and try to forget ever hearing it.

  • I seen death&life trying to stare away from these people,as they laugh because I choose to be different, not at all like them becoming clones fit -4- the next generation,is this why I chose to be myself alone as walk my own path not trying to reason, but only to survive, this game never reaching the finish line!!I am me,myself I have lost more then enough time is ,but learning and striving -4- wisdom and truth..so do not mind these mindless enemies that hide behind the image they took from the tele

  • this music is so stimulating to all my senses!!! I love poetry from my own words-gazing at people they peer from a realm that I can never respond from, cold and to fast to judge me I stare beyond and around the grayish hour glass cowering in the sight,of my own life,so I appear different but as I stagger through the my life's maze afraid that the tears that fall beneath my discolored wings,I do not know when I am able to fly?I will escape this cruel world and fly amongst this destroyed earth, bye.

  • I miss real music. I would mention who's killing it, but it would be sacrilegious to mention her here.

  • @MrNatwill2 justin bieber? lol

  • @anaazg Now you've done it. You mentioned her. Look away children, lest ye be turned to stone!

  • this I dedicate to my brothers whom I lost love you see you both in the end R.I.P cynthia

  • I dedicate this to my late brothers harry, gregory my love is with you until my end c-moon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Perfect to listen to before bedtime.

  • Can the poetry,it's ass-kicking time!!!

  • cold hearted orb that rules the night... gah. that line gets me every time. <3

  • @Youtub3rh4x0r Huh?

  • 4:30 there on is my favourite part of all!!!!

  • When I live every day knowing I have no family no more because of this and its a shame they didnt see what I was trying 2 do I never spankd my kids after wht I went thru because I wanted them 2 see you dont have 2 hit 2 get results in punishment. But it just makes it hard when you see familys hugging each other and visiting and you dont have that contact with your own kids and they were up in age so they know the difference & what was goin on but choose to hold me responsible for what I didnt knw

  • @hottamalemom Cool story, bro!

  • my own brothers wouldnt help ,but what Im talkn about now is my kids dont want to let it go and now Im liven alone with no calls from them ,no visits or cards on holidays like a normal family all because they were in foster care for a short time and not even allowed to see each other till I got my one 2 hr visit a month that was totally unfair to separate them from each other and to this day they dnt get along because of it thats what I was talkn about Im not playn no victim in every day living.

  • @hottamalemom I am so sorry I can feel what was written and I want to say it touched me! c-moon

  • my moms place was burned to the ground and she had no where to go I felt obligated to let her move in with me, big mistake while I was off working 2 jobs she was abuseing my kids,by the time I learned abt it was to late and she wasnt charged with a thing but yet it was mentiond in the newspaper, had I gotten help to have her removed 2 a place of her own then I wouldnt have had my kids pickd up,but I got them back as long as she wasnt there you dnt put a dog in the strret you take it 2 the shelter

  • Thank you for all your concern ,Its much appreciated knowing that some people do still care ,but for the most part I have learned from this experience ,that no matter how hard you try to live in the present the past has a way of haunting you ,and it comes from the things you do in every day life.I am not playing the victim ,its just when you look back and remember what you went thru and you broke the chain but it came a little to late and it didnt just effect me my children were involved also.

  • they don't make music like this again

  • Yall all shut up and just hit the replay button. Jebus.

  • @Undeadftw711 Jeremy clarkson?

  • i still don't understand why an anti-drug messege is the top comment on a psychedelic rock bands song...

  • @Liton777 Very good point. Too many idiots come to links with brilliant music/movies and go off on some irrelevant rant. Classic tune, BTW.

  • @Liton777 It's not about the "DRUGS"... Its all about the "SONG" who cares about the damn comments... get over it lol..

  • HEATH!!!

  • Stan Terry talked them into doing this the studio said it would not be a hit.

  • Boy this song has always taken me back to making out with my first love, He was so spexial to mw then, took me years ro come to terms with the fact he was not the right man, but boy the song still has Rick's face written all over it and his kisses!

  • My speaker volume is over 9000!!!!

  • fingers too quick for the brain or keyboard.................

  • My all time favourite, can't believe fterrball these ydats it is sill the best!

  • the perfect song to space out to !

  • get high with a little help from your friends, love the one you're with, and have it your way!

  • Yes what you want to be you will be in the end,All my life I wanted a family, to be loved by so thats why I had my own kids even tho I was abused in my childhood by my own mom and brothers,3 out of 7, and now Im alone, suffering for what they did,I will get peace one day, The day I Die,,

  • @hottamalemom ,why was I even born

  • @hottamalemom You must be good for something! Think! Think!

  • @hottamalemom Terrible! True? Not able to escape your circumstances? Just damned wrong, but for some reason I get the feeling that you kinda like the victim role. Am I wrong?

  • @hottamalemom I have felt that way , but have come to realize that my parents are not my identity....for they are only human too and make mistakes...what I need is relationships outside of my parents , and they are truly family...as most accept me for who I am....my parents most likely were abused ..and passed it on...it's not your fault...please know this....and god bless you for sharing your feelings, you are not alone. God bless you...live for the future & not the past. .

  • The strings (in the sung portions of the song) a produced by a "melotron" a keyboard with tape loops in it. It was the precursor to todays synthesizers and made famous by The Moodys and the Beatles as well. I just love the sound.

  • That's it, walk a mile in their shoes. That way you'll be a mile away from the asshole...and you'll have their shoes! I love this music.

  • Well we have 24 more brain dead dislikes!!!

  • what about the gathering gloom?

  • thank-you so much for putting this out there!!! It's very hard to find, funny thing is, a few of the people I work with, who are like way older than me, had never heard this version

  • I am calm.

You can't define the greatness of a person on the basis of whether they take or have taking drugs...it's ridiculous.

Some of the most horrible people i have met, have never taken drugs.

Never judge a person until you have walked a mile in their shoes ; )

  • This has go to be one of the Sixties greatest songs.

    Man, i love great music...

  • hey yes imnative stfu dude the majority of people that made all the great music you listen to were high as fuck so keep preaching bout it

  • Fuck Rap........This Is Music!!!!!!!!!!!

  • epic-sounding tune, perfect for closing credits after the hero rides into the sunset on a badass set of wheels, perferrably on a lean, mean chopper.

  • Had a chance to catch these guys in concert. I thought the place was gonna come down when they played this.

  • thumbs up if u heard this in a bronx tale

  • umm..thumbs up if u heard this track in Halloween II lol

  • jess16saint you don't necessarily need drugs to enjoy this song.. but i bet when they wrote then song they were smoking but or they wouldn't have got the inspiration to write it

  • ....... that was my initial reaction when i heard it for the first time as well :) !!! ( the year i heard it, i'll never tell ---- westside _p _

  • This tune is so... erotic. I'd like to get laid to the beat of the nights in white satin.

  • One of my favorite songs. This song is a powerful drug.

  • a parlay? what about the tiny dancer francie barbie doll in the ballerina outfit w the long blond hair- who dreams of jeanie? mattel doll btw not polite sissie spacek who made that move and who cares? i know all i need to know the proof is in the pudding....on and on and on and on go america co-america bank?

  • This isn't from War Of The Worlds.... I believe you're wrong, the song from War Of The Worlds was Forever Autumn, not Nights In White Satin.....

  • loovvee this song! simply the best! just heard a crazy good mashup of it with brubeck's take five. you gotta hear it.

    search

    nutty jazz press vid

  • everytime i hear this song, can't help but think of the part in Pirate Radio when the boat's sinking and everyone's preparing to go down.

  • A very special song dedicated to Meagan, we went to see the Moody Blues and she loved it. We will always hold a special place for each other when ever we any song from them.

  • like if zeds dead brought you here!

  • @captinsaneo11 nobody like him! im sorry , the remix is awesome but i hate people begging for likes... personal grudge

  • It doesn't get any better than this.

  • I'm sorry, I couldn't see your 22 dislikes behind the everlasting beauty of this song.

  • Do any of you really have a clue as to the immense power of this song ? I don't think so , you won't unless you have been there.

In the 60s and 70s this was normal , every day

Now you lose , you have garbage and have had since the 80s

  • yesimnative77:

I'm approaching 50 years of age and have ALWAYS held this song in high regard. Back then, I was smokin' weed, droppin' acid, and snortin' cocain...and lived life fast, harsch, and without remourse. NO REGRETS EITHER...! No I am approaching 50 I stopped all the illegal drugs 22 years ago when I started a family. I now drink alcohol to replace the "others" and it's just not the same, but today's society doesn't allow me to partake in those things any more...I miss 60's & 70's...!!!

  • Thanks to Zeds Dead, I found The Moody Blues <3

    Yay:D

  • @ChochelinR Too bad for you.

  • This was my parents wedding song.

  • Saw these guys in concert a few years back. Wow, they were awesome. The drummer even danced a jig for the audience. Justin Hayward was excellent.

  • GREAT SONG!

  • This song was NOT on the war of the worlds! Justin Hayward did forever Autum!

  • This was my mom's wedding song.

  • @xxtaurusladyxx your mom is a homosexual?

  • @boatsandplanes Homosexual? No, but she is terminally ill and I will be sure to play this at her funeral too! Have a good day! :)

  • @xxtaurusladyxx well im sorry for youre mother, i truly am but listen to waht this song is about

  • @boatsandplanes I'm listening, and it sounds like a man who can't confess his love. This doesn't imply any homosexuality..

  • Comment removed

  • @xxtaurusladyxx This is my song as the funeral ends and in the beginning its Zzyzx Road.

This is a powerful song and i know i don't know you but sorry to hear of your mother.

  • @boatsandplanes Noob.

  • Thanks for the baeutiful mixtape Charlie.

  • heard this for the first time on the radio earlier and it knocked my socks off...had to come hear it again... this is AMAZING

  • That poem at the end just perfected it.

  • 2:22 - 2:55 best part of the song. flute solo > everything else in life

  • She can sing admittedly but is a bit eccentric! I hate her dress sence..

  • reminds me of a certain german girl i knew...............................paid a busker with a guitar on the street to sing this down the fone to her when she went back to germany, her father said she wasnt in....she was out with another guy :-(

  • i swear i was waiting for it to drop...

  • I'll take weed over alcohol anyday. I've lost two uncles, one cousin, and countless friends to the pitfalls of alcohol but never lost anyone to weed!!

  • @yesimnative77 It's The Establishment. They force alcohol to keep the community dumbed down. 2011-12 needs a Revolution

  • @yesimnative77 lmao I'm sorry this just seems so funny.

  • @IamKesyerSoze Yes. It is funny. It's a tragic comedy rather.

  • @yesimnative77 Well my philosophy towards life is if you can't laugh at it, it'll only make you cry.

  • @yesimnative77 Unfortunately, I have a dark sense of humor.

  • @yesimnative77 How about neither. I lost my brother to weed, he was so baked he was trying to reach for the stars on our cabin roof and fell off onto a log pile 30 feet down. Autopsy came back saying his brain was so fried from all the reefer. Forge your own path without the influence of drugs, mate. It helps in the long run.

  • @yesimnative77 Lets stick to no Alcohol, and no weed, by any means we dont need to get our highs from drugs, we came into this world without them, we can live without them too. I leave that for those with a weak mind... I get my highs from music like this...

  • @jess16saint They're not for those with weak minds, but for those with free minds

  • @jess16saint shut up man. your ideology is flawed.

  • @RoBoTNiKaa How is it flawed?

  • @jess16saint

    Enjoy.

  • @jess16saint how about we keep both legal and let people decide for themselves?

  • @jess16saint Not everybody that takes drugs, has a weak mind.

That's a ridiculously weak minded thing to say...

Nearly every great person i know of, has taken drugs at one point in their life.

  • @HitchHikersBlues hey good for you, I know some people who take drugs and are complete shit, i'll stick to my theory, great people are those who don't need anything like a drug to be great... Finito.

  • @jess16saint Well you're theory is full of shite...FINITO

  • @HitchHikersBlues Woah Richard, calm down bro lol... hey this is just an internet site where people come to share an opinion... good day ! and Greets to Dublin ;)

  • @jess16saint @yesimnative77 Im 10 and I have no idea why your all arguing??!!! I just heard this song and i love it (:

  • @jess16saint In some way is that still not a crutch?

  • @jess16saint Yes, because we all know that some of the pleasures in life like drugs and alcohol automatically make you weak minded. Contradiction alert: We came into the world without music also. Perhaps you should get down from your high horse and let people do what makes them happy and stop suggesting what other people should and shouldn't do with the limited amount of time they have in this world. Drugs doesn't make a bad person, a bad person makes a bad person.

  • @Speculationist Woah, I did make a simple suggestion, Im not forcing anyone here to anything.. and trust me I know what you mean, but I've never heard of anyone destroying a family because of music addiction, but I have heard some people fuck up a family just because ones addiction to alcohol or cocaine, etc...im glad when a person can do meth and live a normal life trust me I feel relieved, but when that certain person leaves everything behind just for that one drug, now thats sad..

  • @jess16saint Don't worry bout the substance users. People will always over-defend when they know in their hearts something is not good for them or even at all necessary. SO WHAT if alot of great music came from a mind that was high. How many of those minds are now DEAD??? Early, tragic and wholly preventable deaths. Is any amount of music WORTH it? I vote no. But what do I know...I don't use drugs. LOL

  • @teojlo Yes, no worries.

  • @teojlo Yes, but the majority, if not all, of The MB members are alive and well, so so much for ignorantly believing that spiraling drug abuse and early death is a prerequisite for brilliantly written music.

  • @upyerrzzz1 It's a brave thing to go against the thread. You call me ignorant but I don't think you read my comment carefully. I didn't mention the MB at all. AND I never said I believed "spiraling drug abuse and early death is a prerequisite for brilliantly written music" I said it's not worth being DEAD!!! Have you ever known someone who was DEAD because of drugs? If you did you would understand why I say DRUGS ARE NO GOOD FOR ANYONE!!! Heap on the crap. I know how to delete.

  • @jess16saint The Moody Blues is a gateway drug to a better generation of music.

  • @jess16saint ur really missing out

  • Comment removed

  • @jess16saint I agree with everything except the part about people who do drugs having weak minds....

  • @cmonutube Why are you freaks talking about drugs? Listen to the words for God's sake, it's about loving someone more than life iself-------GET WITH ITTTTTTTTTTTTTT

  • @cmonutube Drug users do have weak minds. If they did not, then they would not need drugs to have fun or to enjoy themselves. Instead of using drugs to escape into a subjective reality, they would accept reality as it is. Anyway, that's what I think. I still respect your opinion and I don't want to start a YouTube fight.

  • @HondaRipperCR125 i totally agree! i think they're weakasses who strive too hard for uniqueness because apparently they don't have any? maybe insecure weak retards who turn to mind altering chemicals have no idea what it's like to actually have a creative dynamic mind? they just run with the heard. whatever? but the most fucked part is when they want society to cry a river because their weak ass dies from an overdose!? i'd rather save my sympothy for inoscent little kids that die from leukemia!

  • @cmonutube I used to think that about people who smoked pot, but that was before I tried it (in my 20's). If anything, it actually excercises your mind, and makes you see everything from all sorts of angles you miss when you're sober. Alcohol, in moderation, has given me great insights. It's all about moderation. I don't believe any drug is inherently evil- it just has to be used with forethought and self control.

  • @LanceHertford agreed.

  • @jess16saint Alternate states of conciousness are not required for life true, but they are a part of life's experience, and who's to say someone who indulges in them is weak minded. Perhaps people with addictions, but people who have no problems and smoke or drink once in a while, nothing wrong with that. True weak mindedness is to say that you're way of life is better than another's.

  • @Liton777 Wow, loved the shirt theory... haha Go for it, sounds quite nice.

  • @Liton777 Shit, I didn't have any respect for people who did insane amounts of hallucinogens and pot, until I started doing them myself as an adult. I can't even fucking believe what people can live through, and not go crazy- and we're talking JUNIOR HIGHERS! Friggin' 13 year old kids. I know one guy who, at that age, was already high, went to his friend's fridge to get some water for his dry mouth, chugged a bunch, then found out it wasn't water- it was ACID! Tripped for 6 days! And lived!

  • Not to insinuate acid can kill you, but it sure as hell makes you feel like it's going to permanently kill you spiritually, and leave you insane. It takes a VERY strong mind and will to survive something like that. Anyone who says drug users are all weak, if they chugged that much acid, they would go comatose from the trauma. I was raped as a toddler, too, so I'm no stranger to trauma that makes you feel you're being murdered. Probably why I shouldn't take hallucinogens, though. I'm too paranoid

  • @jess16saint That's nice. I came in with no clothes but, I think I need those. I also like different color shirts. I like to mix things up, change it around and just try something new. Drugs seem to do that for me. Keeps me open. If open is weak than I guess any innovation ever has been useless and irrelevant.

  • @jess16saint you disgust me,

  • @slashman53 Hahahaha nice....

  • @jess16saint I'll just enjoy the music high on all the drugs I want. How about you judge a little less and just enjoy life the way you want without pushing your agenda on others. kk

  • @jess16saint actually, we came into a world with drugs-- that is, a planet which contains abundant natural psychoactive compounds. why shouldn't we take advantage of them? you can get highs from music and also enjoy drugs, it doesn't say anything about your mind.

  • @jj299792458 i believe everything in moderation . is real good !

  • @jj299792458 yea you are so right drugs suppress emotions and also give you a false reality and perspective of life

  • @jj299792458 Because we were still, physically, born without them. I don't use. Also the mind doesn't theoretically exist, its just the brain. Artistic squabble over meaningless arguments. I will say though, anything can be a drug, whether it has chemically-altering properties or not. Anything. emotions...foods...water...animals..., the ones that make people act strange are the ones that mother earth has put here to pacify our kind, but even she can't stop the beast from reaching its potential.

  • @yesimnative77 Yep but weed smokers usually use it as elevator music for other substances and polly addictions. We just need the music of the sixties and seventies and leave the weed please. Songs like this are the evidence that there where human values.

  • @yesimnative77 No one has ever lost anybody to ganja... Ever!

  • @yesimnative77 Alcohol is White mans burden my friend.

  • 24 people will never dig the Blues.

  • haha 14 years ago independence day came out!

  • haha 14 years ago Independence day came out

  • The Moodies hit #2 in Billboard, 11-4-72. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx! Have a blessed week!

  • Breathe deep the gathering gloom Watch lights fade from every room Bedsetter people look back and lament Another day's useless energy's spent Impassioned lovers wrestle as one Lonely man cries for love and has none New mother picks up and suckles her son Senior citizens wish they were young Cold-hearted orb that rules the night Removes the colors from our sight Red is grey and yellow white And we decide which is right And which is an illusion
  • @censurado618 Thanx for postin' the full words to the 'Late Lament'.

  • i can see myself and my girl freind dancing to this slow and tight as we move and telling her in her ear that i love you and will always and i am 69 now and when i hear this song i am young and in loveto sue

  • @newby811 I agree. But the real questions are... "How did my classmates get to be so old when I'm so young?" And "who the heck is that old fart in the mirror every morning?" At least with songs like these I can close my eyes and time travel back only to return with a smile when I open them.

    Thank you for the post.

  • Comment removed

  • when you hear this it take you back to the good times when you were young love it

  • yes,i was such a nerd.wore brady bunch clothes to scool.then dropped acid in 73

    see ya sunflower

  • Rob Zombie ALMOST ruined this song in that crap re-imaging of "Halloween II." Luckily, great music bypasses bad cinema.

  • @Alyzuh .... I'm 48 and I feel the same way!
