LOL, "Greg in heavy metal bend". I mean, that would be the first heavy metal song with break beat. If you listen to "The Wizard" from Black Sabbath, drummers in that time had brain to play break beat. That song is complicated thanks to that, but the main riff you can play with one finger on guitar. Since then, heavy metal drummers just became rhythm machines, playing without any thought or soul.
I'm so glad Ed joined the band... This version is SO much better than the album cut! The two guitars acting as one opens up the sound for a lot more complex-harmonies and space that defines the larger parts more. Bravo.
Their rhythms are incomparable to any other bands that I know. I know I always look towards Deerhoof when I want to get a good rhythm into one of my pieces or songs.
Great documentation of the one band that bluntly breaks all molds and challenge mainstream America with subtlety and isometric sounds of the pragmatic kind. Hehehe, no really, this video captured performance is superb, existence blessed your minds guys!
Fucking amazing! Love it!

aye the two guitars live is amazing - the whole riff sounds so dense but you'd still be able to get it across just by humming it! Alchemists.
