I think the bo is held too high if it's aimed at the face. A well executed high block could deflect a strike to the face from here. Better to hold it more closely aimed at the solar plexus. The block would have to divert the weapon further to avoid a strike to the face.

Nunchaku is not a distraction. Its actually a very effective grappling weapon.

grapling? i'd more say a well balanced and fast weapon... though i think he means by "destracting" that it's a trait of the weapon, which is correct, you can't exactly read the strike (ofc there are masters and grandmasters etc. but that's not relevant here)
