My school was rated 151st in the nation by Newsweek Magazine and our Valedictorian was the only student who graduated that was accepted to MIT. He had a 4.3 GPA with a 35/36 on his ACT and had mainly AP courses. If I were you go to a good community college and transfer to a better school after you prove to schools how smart you are!

@lalaloopsie GPA stands for Grade Point Average and is used in middle school and high school as well as in college. The number is based on your grades. For instance a 4.0 is having all A's. (unless you're taking AP classes or something which is graded on a 5 point scale but thats a different story). The worse grades you get, the lower your GPA. GPA is a good way to compare how your doing compared to your other classmates.
