This Island Earth, Earth Vs the Flying Saucers, The Day the Earth Stood Still, Them, Invaders From Mars... could have added a few others like the Invisible Boy, Forbidden Planet.
Can anyone please tell me who made the Track using this song, and the Art of Noise "Opus 4" all while the words "annihilating rhythm" is repeated under the beat? It came out around 93 or 94! Please help. I would Greatly appreciate it.
I love those 50's alien flicks! I saw in there "Earth vs. The Flying Saucers" and "The Day the Earth Stood Still"...I have those...and I have lots of Kraftwerk. An OUTSTANDING video! Thanks for sharing it with us.
Been a Kraftwerk fan since the '70's and they're still #1 on my list!
I prefer rubber props over any cgi models. Besides Alien/Predator?Terminator today, those original silver screen ghoulies were psychologically scarier because they were closer to human/nature than anything created today.
Kraftwerk were masters of that Moog. Read up on their instruments
I'm amazed that 1950's special effects actually can look good. Look for example at 2:10. How did they do that? I mean, today it's (almost) all computers, but how did they do things like that before computers?
My bad!! I don't know what I was thinking of (I must have had Sennheiser on the mind/brain) this is an EMS Vocoder used for this song!!! Sorry for wrong info. Although the Sennheiser Vocoder VSM201 was/is Kraftwerk's most used vocoder.
DAMN! ! ! Kraftwerk are the GODS of electro. These guys started making sounds like this in the 70's! ! ! Nothing but genius. BTW I haven't heard the original "More fun to Compute" in years and nice video collage too...........J
numbers is also in there... numbers was recently sampled by ashanti in her new single "my number babe". check it out. i never realized how ahead of their time this group was.

Are you talking about the bassline pattern starting at 0:52. I love it as well !
mophoty 3 years ago
This song was recorded in 1981 so the 303 wasnt invented yet. They are using a MiniMoog for the baseline.
